European Enduro Championship 2025 Highlights Round 1 Portugal
The 2025 Enduro European Championship kicked off with its first round in Santiago do Cacém, Portugal, held from March 28–30, 2025. The event featured challenging ~50 km route that riders completed three times per day, with three special tests — Cross Test, Enduro Test and Extreme Test — repeated each lap.
A Friday evening Super Test marked the official start, followed by two full days of racing through sandy, dusty terrain and warm spring conditions that tested both speed and endurance.
The opening round highlighted the long-standing Finnish–Swedish rivalry. On day one, the victory went to Finnish rider Roni Kytonen, while day two saw Sweden strike back with Mikael Persson taking the win. Both riders delivered consistent top performances across the weekend, underlining the close battle between the two nations. Several competitors with World Enduro experience lined up as part of their early-season preparation.
