SpaceX has officially kicked off testing for Starship Flight 12.
In this episode, we break down the rapid rollout of Booster 19 (B19) and the surprise start of testing almost immediately after it arrived at Massey’s Test Site. This marks the first major Starship booster movement in months—and a critical step toward SpaceX’s early March launch target.
We take a detailed look at what’s happening next, including environmental pressure testing, upcoming cryogenic tests, and the preparations that will lead to Raptor 3 engine installation and static fire testing at the newly upgraded Pad 2. For the first time, SpaceX is preparing to bring together a Version 3 booster, Raptor 3 engines, and the new launch pad—a major milestone in the Starship program.
On the ship side, Ship 39 is preparing for its own cryogenic and static fire test campaign, with stacking and launch preparations expected to accelerate throughout February. If all goes well, Ship 39 and Booster 19 could reunite on the launch pad in early March, ending a long wait for Flight 12.

At the same time, Booster 20 is expected to follow soon, pointing toward a much faster production and testing cadence at Starbase.
