The Mazurkas, Op. 33, are a set of four piano pieces by Frédéric Chopin, composed and published in 1838.

The autograph manuscript is preserved in the National Library of Poland.

The mating behaviour of coots (Fulica torquata), known as ‘Taucherli’ (little divers), involves territorial fights and loud calls. They perform conspicuous, ritualised dances, head shaking and a ‘penguin dance’ in which they stand up straight and present plants.
