Mikaela Shiffrin Back on GS Podium After 2 Years! 🥉 Spindleruv Mlyn 2026 Highlights

Michaela Schifrin, a tenth of a second, her advantage on Paula Molson from the first run. Molson has just opened up an enormous advantage, 1.62 of a second ahead of Nina O'Brien. Now Michaela Schifrin has yet to find the podium in Giant Slalom this season. She's been fifth, she's been fourth a couple of times. She's picking up points, she's currently ranked fifth in the overall Giant Slalom standings. Oh, a little late and low in the line. Watch how she stays nice and relaxed. She stays calm over that turning ski, doesn't break the arc and just moves into the new turn. 1.19 of a second off the pace through split number two for Schifrin. The last time we raced Giant Slalom here, Schifrin found the podium. She finished third in the Giant Slalom held here in Spindle Roof in 2019. This is where Schifrin raced her first ever World Cup. She had her World Cup debut here on the slopes of Spindle Roof and Schifrin tries to challenge top spot through the final turns. She drops into second. Oh, that's close. Whoa, five hundredths of a second is all she needed. Maltzin moves up one spot. Schifrin and Maltzin flip. Three racers to go at the top.
