Living Inside the Forest: A Minimal Cabin Retreat | Forest Cabin
Forest Cabin, designed by Angá Arquitetura in 2022, is a 291-square-meter retreat located on a forested hilltop in São Francisco Xavier, Brazil. Conceived as the first element of a larger master plan, the house is designed to coexist quietly with its natural surroundings rather than dominate them. Its architecture emphasizes a close relationship with the landscape through careful siting, restrained form, and spatial organization that prioritizes natural light, views, and sensory connection to the forest. The project reflects an approach to residential design that values calm, balance, and a deep integration between built space and the rhythms of nature.
