and this is your full Nissan key fob tutorial here.
We're gonna show you how to use this fob.
Maybe you just bought a Nissan
and you're wondering everything you can do with the key fob.
So we're gonna go through everything
from the remote starter, how to lock, unlock the vehicle,
what to do if your battery dies.
So let's get started here and jump right in.
This is the key, okay?
So on the key, you have your remote start button,
your lock button, your unlock button and your panic button.
Now we're out here by the lake, it's very cold.
We wanna jump into the car and get it warmed up.
So we're gonna start with the remote starter.
So the first thing you need to do to remote start your car,
it's a three button combo.
You need to press the lock twice
and the remote start button once.
So you're gonna go lock, lock
and click and hold this remote start button.
And now we've remote started the car
and we can approach it.
So when it's snowing, when it's cold out,
you can get the defrost going, you can get the car warm
and then I can unlock it
and jump right into a nice warm car.
Now you can lock the car, you can unlock the car,
you can do the panic button here with the key.
So that's gonna set off all the alarms.
And then if I click it again, it will shut off the alarms.
Now, one of the most common questions I get
is what do I do when the battery dies on the key?
There is a hidden key right in the key there.
And all you have to do is approach the car
and use the key to open the door.
And now you're good to go, but you might be wondering,
well, my key is still dead, how do I start the car?
If your battery is dead,
there is always enough power in the key fob
to push this Nissan symbol right against the start button.
You wanna take that and push the start button
and then it's going to start up.
And there's always enough juice
for that short term connection.
And then you wanna just pop off the back
and replace the battery,
whether you buy the battery online or go to the Nissan store
you just pop the back off and replace the battery
and then you're good to go again.
Okay, so if you wanna replace the battery on this thing,
you just need to take the key out like I showed you.
And then there's a little lip here.
I use this small flat head, but you need something small
or like if your nail can do it, I can't do it with my nails,
but you just need to stick something strong and sturdy
right in the side there.
And it comes off in two parts like that.
And then you can see there's the battery there.
Take the battery out
and then you're gonna just wanna replace it with a new one.
Make sure that everything matches.
You can get these at the dealer,
you can get them probably online,
wherever you purchase your batteries,
just make sure that the batteries match.
They're two different brands,
but the numbers are the same there, CR2032.
And then you just pop her in there
and you're rocking and rolling.
They may come apart like that,
but it basically just all clips back in together
as you can see.
And you put the key back in and you are rocking and rolling.
So there you have it guys.

Now let's say you just wanna open the windows on the car
before you get in.
Maybe it's hot, you wanna let some air out of the car,
it's opposite summer day.
All you have to do is hold this unlock button.
And if you hold this unlock button down,
the window is going to go down.
And that's gonna let the car kind of get cooled down,
let some of the hot air out of the car.
That's a little bonus feature
that most people don't know about the key.
