This is the yacht of the Nissan world.
It drives super smooth.
It's super comfortable.
It doesn't feel like you are in a huge car,
like there's not many blind spots.
Sitting with an MSRP of $111,966 here in Canada
and a USD of $84,990.
There's a lot to unpack here, guys.
Let's start with the front end.
We have this massive kind of honeycomb grill,
active grill shutters behind it.
We have a forward-facing camera
that's going to help you with your parking.
And there's a ton of features here.
We have our sensors as well.
Going to be also used in parking.
I love how this one has all the chrome.
There's a few different styles you can get in the Armada.
This one being the Platinum, you get a lot of chrome.
So you can see these chrome accents all throughout the front grille.
Our headlights, we're going to have full LED headlights.
They are auto-adjusting and auto-leveling headlights.
So as you go down a hill,
they will move up and down with the curvature of the road.
And then we just have a few little hood scoops
in the front just to add to the styling.
One of my favorite features, up top, there's a ton.
of sensors which we're going to show you
when we drop inside sensors and cameras that's going to
help with things like the Nissan Pro Pilot Assist
the intelligent cruise control and your built-in
dash cam checking out the side profile right away
my eyes gravitate to these massive 22 inch machine
finished alloy wheels obviously you got your disc brakes behind it
but look at the size of these
things they're sitting on all season tires
and then as we float to the back we have our power
Now we're folding rear view mirrors.
Our LED turning accents right on the side
and we have a camera on each mirror that's going to help
with the 3D intelligent camera.
Lots of chrome throughout nice running rails make it easier to
step into a big vehicle like this.
Tinted rear windows just to protect the family from the UV
rays give you a bit more privacy
and then we have this nice Armada stamp right on the back. I love
the LED strip across the trunk for the brakes.
Obviously you have LED rear taillights, backup
Rear parking sensors, and you do have a hidden hitch underneath here.
I'm not going to take it off right now, but there is a hidden hitch.
This will tow up to 8,500 pounds of towing,
so perfect to haul kind of whatever you need.
Now, before we jump on the inside of this thing, this is your moment.
You know it's coming in every YouTube video.
Hit that thumbs up button.
Give us a comment, tell us what you think.
Are you considering the Nissan Armada?
Are you looking at the American manufacturers
like the Yukons or the Escalades?
We'd love to hear from you.
And as always, if you guys are new to the channel,
hit that subscribe button.
Jumping into the Armada, this is luxury, guys.
We get into this premium leather seat.
That's what you get when you go up to this Platinum Reserve.
You get the brown.
Diamond stitching in these leather seats.
It is a 12 way power adjustable driver's seat,
eight way power adjustable passenger seat.
There's two memory positions for our driver's seat.
So if you have like a husband and wife,
you guys don't have to keep adjusting your seats.
You can save your positioning.
And these front seats are heated and air conditioned.
So now that we've started up the car,
let's talk about what's going on.
Cause there's a ton of things going on here.
We have two 14.3 inch
displays for our infotainment
and our driver assist screen all of our gauges everything is
digital on this car now there is a memory position for the wheel
so that syncs with your seat right
when we start it up the wheel adjusts
and we have this kind of massive leather wrapped steering wheel
Behind the wheel is our 14.3 inch intelligent display
so we can display things like our digital
speedometer, our home menus, our trip computers,
our height control, tire pressure monitor,
there's a ton of different features,
GPS right on the screen, Pro Pilot Assist,
this one actually has the upgraded Pro Pilot 2.1
which there is a sensor here so
you can really take your hands off the wheel
and as long as you are looking at the road
it's going to drive itself for you. let's talk about the engine
and the transmission. this is
the 3.5 twin turbo V6. so they got rid of the four liter V8s
from the past and now we have the twin
turbo V6 which is going to give you about 425 horsepower
and 516 pounds of torque. now the
biggest advantage of this is the fuel mileage. the Armadas
of old were definitely thirsty on gas but
But this one gets 13.7 liters per
Per every hundred kilometers combined
between city and the highway,
that's about 17 MPG for all my American friends.
My favorite part,
is really this screen here
so we do have the google built-in maps that come right on the screen
so it's just like using google maps on your phone look
at this here guys so simple so smooth
and that's what i love about this you can easily put
in a search everything is pretty smooth
there's no lag on this screen
and look at that here we are navigating to niagara falls there's
also the music. So for the music, we have AM, FM, Sirius XM, Bluetooth.
You can do Amazon Alexa.
Obviously, you can do your wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
I like the Sirius XM. It has 12 clips.
Upgraded speakers. So it sounds great.
There's also a dash cam, which you can see.
So there's a dash cam up here and you can record things.
Obviously, you can change it so you can also see your inside camera.
So if you want to get a good shot at the kiddos.
Hey, oh, there we are. And you can see kind of in the cabin as well.
You can also take a photo and take a photo. Three, two, one.
Oh, that's a weird looking photo.
Okay, and then you can go into your files
and you can see all your files.
Now, what I like about this one, it does come with the built-in SD.
So you don't have to keep changing your SD.
You don't have to buy an SD card.
The other ones you had to put an SD in there.
Behind the wheel, this is our trailer brake controller.
So we do have our brake controller.
It does come with the Nissan trailer backup assist.
And I got to show you guys this.
This is the camera.
So check out this camera.
There's cameras on all four sides of the vehicle.
Right now it's showing the front.
If I put it in reverse, it's going to show the backup camera.
But when you're in drive or in park, it's going to show the front
and then there's a handful of different angles.
This is great if you're parallel parking.
Here's a nice wide shot of the front angle.
This is our invisible hood.
So you can kind of see right in front.
This is great if you're pulling into a garage
and then you can do a 3D view of the car using
these different buttons here.
I can see all four sides of the car.
Really cool.
This is probably Nissan's best camera that they have.
for the car and this being the armada platinum i think everything
that nissan has to offer this
should be the best of the best this is really one
of their most expensive vehicles and they should
be putting the best things in this car
which i'm happy that they did they didn't cheap out on
anything here speaking of not cheaping out you
do have the digital backup camera so you can see it's
just displaying the rear view monitor right out
of the backup camera you can do the traditional
Rearview camera, or you can do the digital camera right now,
which is showing the trees behind us.
Moving along, we have our climate control.
So if you don't like using the touchscreen,
you can just use the manual controls here.
We have our four high, our four low, our auto.
And there's so many different drive modes,
which we're going to try out in a second here.
It is a digital electric shifter.
So we have buttons for park, reverse, and drive.
And then we have...
Our auto start-stop and our auto leveling.
They added the wireless charging pad for your phone.
There are USBs up here if you need to charge,
but I can just connect my phone.
It is magnetized, so your phone really stays in place.
And now it's here charging my phone.
And then we have this really large center console.
Okay, there is a little light in here, which is neat.
So you can see everything, but look how deep this thing goes.
Almost fits my whole elbow. I feel like Vince Carter
when I'm slam dunking. I can fit my
whole elbow into the center console.
Checking out the back here. Now this one is the seven
passenger configuration. So it comes with these two captain chairs.
You can choose to get this
in an eight seat configuration where you have the middle bench
or you can choose to get these
two captain chairs for a seven seat configuration. Personally,
I like the captain chairs very rarely
do I haul eight people around, but sometimes that's
good to have if you have a large family.
But this is really designed to haul like seven adults
or a large family.
These bucket seats are awesome.
You can put car seats in here.
You do have your temperature controls as well
so they can control their temperature.
They do have heated seat controls as well
so they can control the heated seats and there's
four.
USB-C's for them to charge their devices.
People in the back can charge here.
The front people can charge here.
So this is perfect for any road trips.
In terms of getting into the back,
you can go through the center if you want.
But the easiest way is just to use the lever here
and this seat's going to pop forward.
And let's see how that is.
This is always a true test
for these seven seaters entering the third row.
Is it easy?
Is it tough?
And that was pretty easy.
Now here we are in the back.
Like I said, this is really good for seven adults and I feel fine
back here for quite a long time.
And some of the other cars like the Nissan Pathfinders,
I would want to sit in the back for a while,
but I got everything I need right back here.
I have a USB. I have lots of leg room, lots of headroom.
And then if I want to fold the
seats down, there is a button here
and I can just recline my seat back even further.
So that's a nice little feature.
If I want to relax a bit, I'll see you guys later.
Let's check out the cargo area. So it does have a power lift gate.
Now obviously when you're using
the seven seat configuration there isn't a lot of power or a lot
of storage. There is some hidden storage underneath here
for like your snow brush and things,
but really there's not a lot of room for luggage and things like that.
Like you're barely fitting the dead body in the back of this,
but if you do have more dead bodies
You can just push the button here.
Easy peasy. These are going to recline down.
Just with the touch of a button,
Which is really neat.
What I also like is you can adjust the suspension.
You can raise the back up
and down using the buttons here just to make it easier
if you're putting items in the car. We're
going to do it with a launch here.
Now Nissan advertises a 6.3 0 to 60 or 0 to 100. We're going
to put that to the test with this 425 horsepower.
I got it in sport mode so let's see how it goes
Let's close in three, two, one.
One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi,
four Mississippi, five Mississippi, six.
OK, so maybe I was counting a little slow,
but that was like bang on what was advertised.
Six Mississippi now.
Few takeaways from that, little sluggish off the start,
but once I got going, I got going.
This one has the nine speed automatic transmission,
so it's not the CVT that
people like to comment on about the Nissans.
This one has the nine speed automatic,
so it does take off very good. It's not as sluggish
as some of the other Nissans when we're launching them.
The biggest thing there is
Like I don't really see any blind spots.
I can't stress that enough. A lot of people think big
vehicles, scared to drive it, too many blind spots,
gonna hit something. Honestly, it's very hard to
hit something in this vehicle with all the mirrors,
all the sensors, all of the safety features.
Speaking of safety features,
I got to talk about the ProPILOT Assist because this one has
the upgraded ProPILOT Assist. It's the 2.1 ProPILOT Assist.
And it will really drive itself for you.
There's many different driving scenarios where you would use it.
Long drives, highway driving, road trips,
really beneficial for those things.
So now we're driving on some little country roads.
We're just going to turn it on and activate.
There's a ton of cool features with this.
First of all, it does have the haptic feedback on the wheel.
So if I deviate from the lane, the wheel vibrates.
Just hit set to turn it on and now we're kind of locked in to the lane
and it's going to take
turns a little bit for you. Perfect on the highway.
Now let's talk about the different
drive modes. So there is a sport mode.
There's an economy mode. There's a standard mode. I usually
do economy or standard but then there's a snow mode.
So it's going to be good in snow. There's
There's also a mud and rut mode.
Sand mode and rock mode.
And then there's a towing mode if you are towing.
So there's a ton of features in regards to the towing.
My overall takeaways, I would say this car is super comfortable.
Like this seat is hugging me right now.
It's super comfortable.
It is very easy to drive.
Like I said, new drivers or young drivers might be intimidated
to drive this car, but I do think it is super smooth to drive.
And then with all the tech,
it's very easy to control.
Like when you look at this dash, there is a lot going on,
but once you kind of get the hang of it, you get the hang of it.
There's also a heads up display
with the speed sign detection.
So right in this little projector here, it's displaying my
Speed, it's also displaying the speed sign in front of me.
So I always know what the speed limit is.
There's so many features.
I think we've talked about everything.
