Restoration of Old Rusty Dagger with Most Disgusting Scabbard Ever

Hi! Today is restoration of a 19th-century Caucasian dagger with Disgusting Scabbard Ever. The condition of the dagger was below average. The scabbard was present but extremely dry and covered with an unknown, unpleasant material. The upper metal fitting was missing, with only the lower one preserved. The handle was broken, and the blade had deep rust in several areas along with heavy surface contamination.
