Composed in 1767 when Mozart was 11 years old, Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 1 in F major, K. 37, is an early work. It is actually an orchestral arrangement of movements from keyboard sonatas by other composers, such as Raupach and Honauer, which Mozart's father, Leopold, arranged as an exercise. The piece showcases the nascent concerto form and is significant as a step towards Mozart's mature concertos. However, it is generally considered to be slight compared to his later works.
