Sfumato Acrylic Glazing Technique Corrections

Sometimes we have to make adjustments or corrections to our paintings. It's all part of the process. In this video, I'll show you how I helped my student Merle with her portrait of a Renaissance-themed young woman. Some of her color mixes, skin tones, and shading got a bit away from her, but her foundation was excellent so it wasn't too difficult for her to get back on track. In this video, I demonstrate how to make adjustments to tonal value, skin tones, and more that may help you in your painting too! I literally paint on top of her portrait (well, a reproduction of it). She ended up making some excellent changes and finishing her portrait well!
