California is rolling out new laws in 2026. Streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, and Peacock will no longer be allowed to blast louder commercials. Under a new law, ads must match the volume of the shows they interrupt, starting July 1. Large AI companies will be required to provide tools to help users identify AI-generated content and allow creators to label AI-created images, videos, or audio.
