A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Berkshire County and western Hampden County until 10 AM Saturday and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Hampshire, Franklin and eastern Hampden Counties until 10AM Saturday for accumulating snow. The 22News Storm Team has issued a Weather Alert for accumulating snow tonight. Good Friday evening. We expect snow to develop from west to east between 6-8pm this evening. Snow will continue for much of the night before ending early Saturday morning. Snow will become heavy and steady during the evening hours then it will become lighter and more scattered after midnight. There will likely be a sharp gradient with these snowfall totals. The most snow will fall in Berkshire County and western Hampden County with the lesser amounts falling in eastern areas. Farther south and west you are, the more snow you will see while areas to the north and east will see less snow.
