Casa Ethos | Brutalist Concrete House Integrated with Nature and Living Trees

Casa Ethos is a contemporary brutalist house designed by QBO3 Arquitectos, located in the wooded landscape of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The project is shaped by a strong respect for its natural surroundings, preserving existing trees and allowing them to become part of the architectural experience.

Built as a reinforced concrete shelter, the house balances strength and openness through permeable spaces, natural ventilation, and a seamless interior–exterior relationship. Raw materials, deep eaves, and careful detailing create a timeless residence where architecture, climate, and nature exist in quiet harmony.
