Hey guys!
Welcome to my home here at Penton Farms, and this is my home for the holidays.
Welcome back to my home.
Holly, my cousin, has come to do another tour, and I'm so excited.
I hope you guys enjoy it.
I also have some exciting news to share soon, next week.
I have a photoshoot coming up for a magazine, so I'm so excited for that.
And Holly's going to link everything below with my Instagram, so if you want to follow
me for updates for the magazine shoot, and all of my other social media stuff, you can
follow me there.
Before you're here, I have the large shutters that are one of my favorite things in this
house, and my collection of ball rush trees and trophies, and different things.
I added little Demijohn's as well to the space.
Here I have a large hutch that I found in Ojai that I thought was such a fun place to
pick this year, I've never been, and I have my boot collection that I love, along with
my Timber Belt.
These I think came from Kirkland's a few years ago, and the boots I just pick up at different
vintage stores here and there along the way when I find them.
So we're now in the living room with my double side lace, and I just love the coziness of
this space.
I follow Liz Marie on Instagram, and I get a lot of inspiration from her.
The quilts on the back was one thing, quilts and things, pillows, textures, colors, to
just mix in.
And this is my coffee table and map cabinet.
I just added some greenery with a little rocking horse, which I thought was super sweet.
I found it at an antique shop.
And a little nice pillow is an antique that I found at an antique store.
And the other side is red with beige knotty on the other side, which is super cute.
So under my TV, I have a homemade entertainment center.
Again, I added the lamp.
The lamp was sort of a boring lampshade, and I added velvet ribbon to cover the lampshade
to make it more of a Christmas vibe.
I don't have a Samsung frame TV, but I did make this frame to go around it, and just
hung it there, and then went on YouTube and found this little scene I thought was really
cute.
For this tree this year, I wanted to fill with a bunch of vintage ornaments.
I only probably have about half of what I really want, but I'm going to keep collecting
over the next few years.
And in this space, I needed something, so I added the little vintage banners that I've
been collecting the past year, just to kind of give a little bit of red.
Vintage rocking horse I've had for years.
So little vintage bowling pins, postcards, lots of greenery, lots of ribbon.
Different types of stockings as well.
So the bear is one of my favorite ornaments.
Brass bear, I thought that was adorable.
Also, the vintage Santa, I think is so cute.
And I think I added, there are a few new ornaments in here from like Target and Kirkland, so
I've mixed, it does have a few new mixed with the old.
And these lights I actually got at a vintage shop.
I think they're the Magnolia ones, I believe.
In the bedroom, I love a lot of texture, a lot of pillows, a lot of throws.
So my husband can take it off every night, and he loves it so much.
He makes it up every morning because he wants it a specific way.
So he puts it all back for me every morning, and it's his favorite part of the day.
So the little rocking horse, my mother-in-law actually gave that to me for Christmas this
year.
She just gave us an early Christmas present, so I thought that was super sweet.
And then the different throws and quilts and things, that's actually, the plaid is actually
just a tablecloth.
I was trying to find something with some plaid and color and, you know, tablecloths, you
can fit them in here and there.
Nobody knows it's a tablecloth except for those two.
Then on the shelf, I just added some greenery along with the paper.
Well, it's actually ribbon chain.
I made that with ribbon and then some little red velvet bows along with that.
And the silhouettes are one of my favorite collections.
I've been collecting them a while as well.
They're in my bedroom this time.
They were in another spot, but I thought they were pretty cute.
And then the little snowshoes are vintage as well.
I thought that was sweet there.
So now we're in a little bit of a haul here going into my son's room in the bathroom.
So this is just my gallery wall because I really wanted one and it's hard to do.
So I was excited to get it together.
And this is my son's room and I added the cream tree in here with the little red berries.
And on his bed, just some textured throws and, of course, the cute little Santa pillow.
This is my husband Scott's stocking.
He was born in December and so he came home in that stocking.
So that's a really special stocking to us.
And so I've just been collecting Christmas plates, red and green, to put together.
On the table, I wanted to kind of give like a milk and cookies type vibe.
So I have Santa mugs with the little gingerbread guys, the gingerbread houses.
Along with the natural oranges, I think just kind of gives it a natural vibe.
And a funny story about the oranges, the garlands, I have people ask me if I made it
and I don't have time to make orange slices, drum and all that.
So we were at an antique shop and my husband, he was with me, and I came around the corner
and I said, I want these orange slices.
He said, I cannot believe you want these oranges.
He said, I just saw these and thought, who in the world would buy dried oranges?
I said, me.
It was me.
The little gingerbread guys are actually fake.
Can you believe that?
They look so real, but they came from Amazon.
And now we're in the breakfast area.
It's just, it's sort of small, but I thought it was kind of quaint.
And I have these sweet little Blue Ridge plates, poinsettia plates from my friend Randy.
He gave me those to add to my little spot here.
I thought it was sweet.
And here is my corner hutch filled with all of my vintage goodies.
I just love everything about this cabinet.
I love all this old stuff.
I added the ribbon inside.
I thought that was just a sweet little stack with Santa on top.
That's new ribbon, but I thought it was cute.
And the jingle bells at the bottom.
I thought would be cute in there as well.
And these are little old Christmas books.
It has like little Christmas stories in here.
I thought it was really sweet.
And to add a little more color, I just threw all these vintage light bulbs in different places.
Just to kind of add a little more red.
I changed my barstools out.
I had some old counter barstools, but I really like these better because I love the detail.
The scalloped detail in the back.
I got them from Decor Steals.
And this is my five positions.
My Santa mug collections and pictures.
Lots of different faces in there and they make me smile.
And I have my pot rack, which is actually a shower curtain rod because I don't want to drill into my brick.
So a little hack there, that's just a shower curtain rod.
It only falls two or three times every so often in the middle of the night and crashes and scares you to death.
But that's fine. It's fine.
All the copper. I love copper things.
So I just hung a lot of copper.
The little wreath there is actually a tree.
And the garland, the main garland came from Target.
The pine garland.
And then I added fresh magnolia in.
We have a magnolia tree out there.
And so I just cut some of that out.
And added it in along with the $25 orange string.
And here, I didn't want to do upper cabinets in the kitchen.
I wanted more vintage vibes.
So this cabinet is one thing that I love in this kitchen.
That natural piece just is perfect here.
And then all the pictures on top.
The orange stone.
My collection keeps growing every year.
So this is part of the new renovation.
So we're in the newer part here.
So the living room is there. Dining room.
And this is the main din here.
Butler's pantry that was also added on.
This is also one of my favorite spaces.
Because I feel like I can kind of go a little bit more out with decorations.
So my large paper trees.
And all the different types of trees here with the ribbon garland.
I thought was just really cute in here.
The paper trees, I get a lot of questions about that.
Those came from Walmart last year.
I don't know if they still have any in stock.
But they are awesome trees.
My spot is going to be the recliners here.
They're not the most beautiful recliners.
But they are great because I love to sit here.
And look out either right now.
I look at my Christmas tree.
But when it's not there, I look out onto my patio.
And she shed and everything.
So this is my favorite spot to sit now.
I added a new rug here.
Really cute with the dimes.
And then a couch here.
Because again with the renovation, I needed some more seating area.
So I just added the couch along with the chairs.
So my 2025 ribbon tree is something I was excited about.
Because I've been wanting to do ribbon treaters.
And so I finally scrapped up enough ribbon.
Different types of ribbon.
I wanted it to be more like floppy bows.
I didn't want it to be real structured.
And then just simple ornaments with it.
I think it came out pretty well.
Large green cabinets.
I know it's not for everyone.
But I absolutely love it.
I found it in Tennessee.
And we actually couldn't get it home at the time.
So my friend Randy went back to pick that up.
It fit perfectly in the space.
I love the green.
I love the character that it has.
And I think the little red stand out there is perfect with the green.
Now we're heading into my mudroom.
Which is where we go in and out all the time.
That's fresh garland at the top.
And then I made another paper chain out of wrapping paper.
Which is a lot easier than the ribbon.
But that's made out of just wrapping paper.
And then inside is just a lot of vintage goodies.
So in here I wanted to do something like getting ready for snow.
With the sled and the ice skates and the scarf.
With my boots.
I just thought it was just the perfect winter scene for a mudroom.
And we hope that we will get some snow this year.
Now we are on the back patio.
Which is one of my favorite spaces to decorate.
The large jingle bells.
I knew I had this vision of hanging the bells from the ceiling with greenery.
So that's different greenery.
Branches.
I just cut the branches from cedar and pine.
And then took a rope to go across the back there.
And then I had somebody help me with that of course.
And then we just tied it off at the top.
And then just let it hang.
And then I added some little ribbon to the bells.
For the swing I added lots of different pillows.
And throws as usual.
And a little bit of pop of red.
In my she shed now.
Really it's potting shed.
I call it she shed.
But I really just use it to pot.
With all of my old clay pots.
And then I did add some more Santa mugs out here.
Because I just think the Santa mugs and terracotta and green.
I think it's just really neat together.
Okay guys so that's a wrap.
Thank you guys so much for following along.
Thank you Holly for coming out and filming it.
And I hope you guys enjoyed it.
And I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
