This Trail ONLY Allows 12 Vehicles a Day | 2023 Colorado ZR2

[Music] good morning we just woke up a little while ago and as you can see woke up to this beautiful amazing view that's behind me as you know last night was uh rained a little bit then it stopped raining and then the wind picked up quite a bit and uh me being hard-headed and uh the shot that was behind me was a beautiful full sunset view of what you see and I really wanted to get some Drone footage of that and I probably did and if you did that you would have already seen that footage but in the process of that um with the strong winds that tree behind me yeah the Drone ended up uh crashing into that tree with the big gust of wind came kind of knocked it into that tree hit the tree head fell nose first into the ground and now the camera doesn't work anymore on the Drone I'm not sure what happened um I'm not sure if a like it has a ribbon cable that got pinched and it broke but uh the Drone is fully operational it's just a camera no longer works so unfortunately going to have to take it into repair uh which the biggest negative is uh not going to have any more Drone footage for the rest of this trip kind of stinks but that's okay uh yesterday obviously was not a very good day we damaged the Drone and we did the uh body damage on the truck but hopefully today is going to be a better day and we're going to get into some fun stuff and some cool scenery [Music] n [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] we made our way down towards Sedona on schneble Hill Trail which was a pretty easy Trail but had some fantastic views on our descent [Music] while pit stopping in Sedona to fuel up and restock on a few supplies we had to swing by the only McDonald's in the world that doesn't have yellow arches shortly after we were back on the road hidden some black top making our way up to our final Trill head to get to tonight's Camp spot to meet up with some old friends [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] well we arrived at camp for tonight and uh Camp is not as exciting as the previous night but it is still quite a nice Camp spot here within the pine trees we got a pretty big group with us that we met up with these are all our friends majority from the East Coast uh all in Van so we're the uh only uh truck camper here but uh we're going to end up just hanging out cooking dinner and uh getting ready for [Music] tomorrow no there's three [Music] I'm going there we go making some steaks and some Bak [Music] beans we enjoyed dinner then gathered around the campfire to catch up with one another and some quite interesting conversations came about I swear I would go I would go as far as mid thigh I mean God I'm going to bed on that one the next morning we really didn't have any set plans for the day and upon doing some research we were able to secure some permits to Soldier Pass Trail this Trail is only accessible by a permit and and there are only 12 permits given out each day once you purchase the permit online you receive an email which gives you access to the code to open this locked gate this Trail is accessible to hike but where's the fun in that [Music] so here is the gatekeeper to the first obstacle in Soldier pass nothing too crazy um truck is absolutely doing phenomenal on this trip and we are so happy with our new build [Music] [Music] [Music] we made it to our first stop on this Trail which is a giant sinkhole with the name of Devil's Kitchen Now videos never do it justice but this sinkhole was pretty huge you're going to drop you're going to drop there it is [Music] we are currently on our way up to the soldier pass cave so when you do this Trail if you get the permit the 4x4 permit there is a small hike that's about half M uh half mile round trip but there is quite the elevation as I flip my camera around as you can see kind of just goes straight up but there's the uh the cave so we're almost there Nicole's loving it right yeah there's the enthusiasm [Music] here's the inside of the [Music] cave pretty cool it has kind of like a second level here that you could climb up to it's almost like a natural stairwell here that gets you kind of to the second level of the cave and that's the uh there a little Lookout window there here's the other side other opening of the cave and that's over there where I was just filming since we had reached our final destination of the trail this Trail is a oneway in one way out Trail so we had to backtrack everything we had done and head back to our last night of Camp before making our way over to Overland West if you have made it this far in the video make sure to leave a like And subscribe so you don't miss out on future videos and thanks for watching [Music]
