We pick up right where Part 1 left off on Metal Masher in Moab, Utah. After Ali’s Silverado ZR2 suffered a major rear axle failure due to the lift blocks, the challenge was no longer finishing the trail, it was figuring out how we were going to get a broken truck out.

With the rear axle rotated out of position and the Silverado unable to make it through the remaining obstacles on its own, we begin the long recovery process. Unfortunately, Metal Masher isn’t exactly an easy trail to get a disabled full-size truck out of.

Using our winches, recovery gear, and a lot of teamwork, we slowly work the Silverado up and over obstacle after obstacle. Every section brings a new challenge as we try to keep the truck moving without causing even more damage.

What started as a day of wheeling quickly turned into a full-on trail recovery.

Can we get Ali’s broken Silverado ZR2 off Metal Masher and back to Moab under its own power? Watch until the end to find out.

If you haven’t watched Part 1 yet, make sure to check it out first to see how we ended up in this situation!
