
What Trump Reversal of Biden Era Fuel Efficiency Standards Means for the Industry
President Donald Trump announced a reversal of federal fuel standards on Wednesday, reversing Biden era regulations. The so-called Corporate Average Fuel Economy or CAFE standards were first enacted in 1975. These government regulations aimed to lower emissions for the average fuel efficiency of a vehicle fleet. The White House saying this reset will save "$109 billion in total" for American families.
