We are back for the 2nd year, decorating our Chick-fil-A store for Christmas. Last year I bought commercial grade Christmas lights for me and the boys to install. Little bit of a learning curve but it turned out good. This year was much easier since we had done it before and had all the lights labeled and pre-cut, etc. But we did change a couple things that didn't work good last year (drive thru curtain lights) and we added a couple more decorations/lights to the store.

about 200 lb worth of Christmas lights.
We're on the hillside, so it is a little
sketch.
>> This is all tangled already.
>> Why is that one tangled?
>> I think it's on.
>> Let me get up there. Let me get up
there.
>> Cuz I was impatient. You ain't figuring
it out quick enough. New LED. These will
be changing colored lights versus just
the white ones.

>> All right, G. It's that time.
>> Y,
>> which is what time?
>> Lights at the store.
>> Lights at the store. And this should go
a whole lot smoother this year because
we labeled everything. Like look, you
can see labels. We already have it
pre-cut, pre-made. It's actually a
Saturday, so the store is actually
operating. But we're going to hop up on
the roof. We're going to do the lights
up across the top. And then we'll save
another day where we do the the
drive-thru. Oh, look at there. Who's
working today?
Oindo.
All right. So, container of lights is
super heavy and big, so it's kind of
hard to get it up here. So, we're gonna
have LA feeding the lights up.
Then Gavin's gonna start running them
because we already have them again
pre-cut, pre-installed from last time.
So, we'll start running them around the
building.
Got all the lights on the shoulder.
About 200 lb worth of Christmas lights.
>> Yeah,
that's a workout.
All right. See if you can start kind of
getting off your shoulder now.
All right.
>> We got them all up here.
>> Has a lot of lights.
>> Well, we got them up here, but
unfortunately it got them all tangled
up. And this magnets stick together. And
so sometimes it's not necessarily
tangled. It's just magnets, but it makes
it a pain to undo.
G and I are back at it today.
>> We got the drive-thru today. So, we
started already hanging the lights.
Thankfully, uh these behaved themselves.
They're not all tangled up, which
honestly, I'm the one that got them
tangled up trying to get them out. So,
we started on this side.
You can actually see the ones from
yesterday we did. We're working our way
around. You can see how windy it is. It
was really, really windy out here. So,
you may be getting a lot of wind in the
mic. But something that's happened
though, we have these little plastic
clips up there. I'll show you better
over here. And they're dry rotted or
they're just cracked. They're plastic.
And so we're having to actually tape a
couple of them. Hopefully they'll last
maybe this year. And we'll have to
replace them probably next year.
Little parts that hold it cracked and
broke. So
he's going to tape that bulb to the
You can kind of see it maybe.
What the heck?
We do like five at a time. Then we have
to shift the ladder over and we're on
the hillside so it is a little sketch.
That's going up pretty good.
Doing good, G.
Almost done.
Going to try something new this time. I
bought this little 12T LED Christmas
light. We're going to try to stick it
maybe on top of this AC unit. There's a
flat spot up there overlooking the road.
So, there's the drive-thru awning. We
just got finished putting the lights up.
So, let's hope this works.
Well, we got the base done and kind of
the pole, but it's getting a little
chilly. Temperatures are dropping. We're
losing a little daylight.
And uh honestly, we're going to have to
probably research and figure out a
little bit more about this thing cuz the
instructions kind of suck. Um, I think I
kind of know what we're doing, but we're
going to finish this another day. We got
the main lights up. That's the big thing
to be continued. We'll be back shortly.
Gavin and I are back to finish up the
Christmas lights. We ran out of time and
got a little chilly on us last Sunday.
We're going to finish this tree. There
are a few bulbs that were out. So,
Gavin's going around and finding the
bulbs that were missing and out. And
then we've got to finish putting up this
tree, kind of building it out.
So, I think the lights just kind of sit
on top of this little thing that plugs
in the star.
>> So, how would this work?
>> All right, we need to actually probably
Let's undo this.
We'll screw it back together.
And this is where we need to make sure
we're careful. Only doing like one at a
time. Oh, shoot. I got the thing all
twisted.
You would think that would clip down on
there, but I guess it just rests on it.
And then [snorts] I guess we just do one
string at a time.
All right, here's the next group.
And this is going to be the far end one.
Oh, these are still
>> that's going to be
what
Kevin
be very careful. These things tangle up
easy. But
>> yeah, it's a good thing you just do one
at a time. One little bundle at a time.
And then we'll put the extensions in the
pole to stretch them out.
>> There. This is all tangled already.
>> Why is that one tangled?
>> I think it's on.
>> It shouldn't be, which technically I
probably could go ahead and put another
couple bars in it.
Shoot. That thing's leaning. All right.
You want to hop up there
and then let's see if we can center it
up a little bit. All right. Ready?
It's not on there.
>> It's not sitting level, is it?
>> No.
>> Wonder if we put Oh, shoot. These things
came undone. Of course,
>> we're trying to put this thing up on the
AC unit. This raised piece is not
helping matters. The front edge on this
and the back edge on that.
>> Maybe. Well, our tree got bent a little
bit, the bars, but anchoring the lights
to the bottom kind of helps stabilize
it. Don't know how well it is. Now,
we're going to plug it up. Let's hope it
works. All right, let's plug it up and
see.
>> It's That's
>> It is.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. Gavin says we have lights. I
can't hardly see it.
>> They're blue.
>> Oh, you know what? You can Yeah. Change
them. I didn't bring their mode up
actually and it'll dance to music.
All right. All right. Well, it may be a
little bit of a slanted tree, but she's
a working. After we did the lights last
year, I really wish I'd have done this
awning, which, you know, for the first
year that was fine doing all the big
ones. So, this year, I'm going to run a
strand from this awning. And my plan is
to connect it up there to that corner.
So, there'll be a strand dangling down,
I guess. But, I want them all to be
synchronized and plugged up out of the
way. So, let's get going. G. You're
going to put the first at the very
corner over there.
>> I don't know how to put it in.
>> Uh there's multiple ways you can do it.
So, kind of however you want to, I
guess.
>> I got to turn it side.
>> No, you don't have to put it on the
whole plastic. Just hook it in the the
wire if you want. As long as it's kind
of stable.
All right.
>> Oh, let me give you some bulbs. All
right. Here's bulbs.
Yeah, that's too loose. Here, come down.
Let me see.
It's got a bunch of different ways you
can connect. So,
>> might have to go like this.
>> Yeah.
This is what you can do. This is And
this seems to be holding up pretty well.
All right. You can look and see how I
did it.
>> All right,
>> I'm using that back.
>> Holy cow. Sean Tucker has 43 points
on my bench
and two of my receivers had zero points
in the fourth quarter.
>> All right. So, you can see how I did it.
And I'm putting it on the outside to
kind of keep it stretched. Man,
>> you can't figure this stuff out. Boy,
I'd be a problem solver.
>> You said, "Let me get up there. Let me
get up there."
>> Cuz I was impatient. You ain't figuring
it out quick enough.
>> I didn't even get chance to dig her
down. Let me get up there. Let me get up
there. [laughter]
>> Let me get up there,
>> man. Let me get up there and do that.
>> Lad.
>> How far you going?
>> I don't know where you're going. I'm
>> How far can you reach? You tell me.
>> I'm not reaching up for
>> I want
you. I can make that.
>> Now you all up under.
>> Well, that's cuz you moved it all up
under.
>> Oh, I was actually just trying to get
it. It was tangled up in that
>> punkelli.
All right, I'm connecting these lights
down there to the ones up here. All
right, moment of truth, G. See if they
turn on. All right, they working.
>> They're all working.
>> Yep.
>> Yippee.
and hanging our curtain lights.
We're not going to do that side this
year because of all the traffic that
kept running into them.
Hopefully, these will work again.
>> I don't think it's going to work.
>> Yeah, I'd cut the very first one like
that. It just It's tough. You got to
kind of wiggle it all the way down.
Mikey Jay helping me out today. why he's
home for Thanksgiving break. Redoing our
lights out here. The old ones just
didn't work.
These are some new LED. These will be
changing colored lights versus just the
white ones from last time. We're not
going to do the other side since so many
cars ran into it. [music]
