Casa Fluir | A 1,400 sqm Tropical Home Blending Light, Water, and Landscape

Covering 1,400 square meters, Casa Fluir is a contemporary residence designed by Sabella Arquitetura in Bragança Paulista, in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil. Set on a gently sloping site, the house is conceived as an open, fluid structure that embraces natural light, landscape views, and outdoor living.

A strong relationship with the surrounding environment shapes the project. Large glass openings, light-toned materials, and generous spatial connections create an atmosphere of brightness and comfort throughout the home. The façade combines a refined metal structure with whitewashed pine brise-soleils, filtering sunlight while reinforcing the house’s airy, tropical character.

The L-shaped layout organizes social and private spaces around a shared central courtyard. This outdoor heart features a garden, sun deck, veranda, and an infinity pool that stretches toward the horizon. At the edge of the social wing, a more intimate terrace offers a quiet place to relax while watching the sunset.

The pool is positioned to follow the site’s natural slope. Beneath it, a sauna, service areas, and a dedicated art studio for the owner’s daughter are discreetly integrated into the terrain. The retaining wall was darkened and softened with trellises and climbing plants, allowing greenery to gradually reclaim the surface and strengthen the dialogue between architecture and nature.

Natural light continues to guide the interior experience. An interior garden filled with lush tropical vegetation runs along the main hallway, illuminated from above by skylights, bringing freshness and vitality deep into the home.

With seven suites and expansive outdoor living areas, Casa Fluir is a residence where comfort, landscape, and contemporary Brazilian architecture merge seamlessly—creating a home defined by lightness, openness, and a continuous connection to nature.
