see what Ron's looking at guys hang on
there's no run he's always looking
something amazing so let's see what he's
got
oh wow
a month ago wow all right guys on
another adventure here
this time we're in Upper Missouri I'm
going to a place called Grand Bluff
as you can see I got the main man right
there Mr Ron Barry's ready to take me up
there this is a hit backyard near Fulton
Missouri right now guys so
we're just gonna go do some exploring
and we'll see along the trail today
bald eagles
you hear them
there should be a bunch of them remember
we pushed that button yesterday and that
uh Nature Center is exactly what they
sounded like
I see it
easy coming down you see
okay
Ron always has the bright side of
everything so you guys that's a good
thing
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
I'm glad y'all are hearing me breathing
that's all they're hearing on the camera
[Music]
hmm Grand Bluff
[Music]
s
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
everything
[Music]
is there going to be another another up
okay
I was kind of looking at
what's the deal with these leaves right
here that stay on year round
be pushed off by the new growth right
that's all that really happens to those
I see
I just thought they were super tough to
be able to hold on to their Leaf over
here
the abuse on both sides guys this is
like a backbone we're walking on right
now
center right screen
we'll see more of it
we had another steep section
every step is up
in this area
[Music]
I noticed right I didn't want to say but
yeah
no but we can steadily up
last hit again it's been tough
oh there's a
pretty view of Missouri
I'll let y'all look that way for a
little while
[Music]
thank you
pretty pretty right
man
yeah yeah I know
these good special spot
what's up brother
good man I got a YouTube channel called
it was our kitty cat for real
YouTube yeah that's cool
hey I got a pillow hiker here guys early
morning high for me yeah to the Grand
Bluff State Park yeah what's your what's
your first name brother
Adam yeah sweet man
yes sir and a lot of good piece on the
top I've noticed yeah oh yeah and Pat
them as soon as I got to that gate
pretty much I could feel that you got to
get on up here right guys to get the
true experience of what's really here
you need to come on and up yeah foreign
there's not leaves on the trees but even
then it's beautiful
in the summer time that's just
breathtaking yeah
yeah it goes to show that you can find
beauty in uh really anywhere you live
you know in the middle of nowhere it's
awesome it's really close by so I got a
place in the Irish Wilderness and it
goes along good with my Ozark hippie
Camp Channel we thank you for for your
knowledge and your you know your heart
bro I could tell you you just you're
saying it man
cabin Camp I got a little creek a
swimming hole
um Mike could take you in a special cave
if I got his approval he's got some land
down there but we got a world renowned
cave down there that that's got the most
formations I've ever seen in my life as
far as per square inch and it's amazing
the first class to the right you get
about 3 000 formations hanging down from
the ceiling yeah one glance yeah so
there's about a couple hundred thousand
in there but tell us your favorite thing
about uh Northern Missouri here Northern
Missouri oh well I've been I've been
many many
and you know I've been to Germany
Ireland Poland Hawaii Texas and what I
like about North America is the people
you know everywhere else I've been I've
like the places themselves and you know
the geography or the landscape whatever
but here uh this is where I chose to
live here because of
people everyone here is so nice
there's a lot of open-minded people here
just despite
being red yeah now it's amazing
conservative State for the most part but
everybody's got a you know liberal heart
and liberal mind and let people be who
they want to be right Ron Ron is
originally from here his his family like
his heir to this area man like you can
tell us a little history Ron yeah
yeah I'm Callaway County is there
they settled in 1821 in a place called
Garden Prairie they lived in cave the
first six months
and on Stinson Creek which runs into the
evolves Creek then uh there's some
tremendous formations there there's some
uh rock rocks that are staying 150 50
feet tall
that's huge a model yes one single Rock
and then there's another one that looks
like a helicopter dropped it right down
in the Middle with a creek a little
bottom plate but it just sits right on
top of this little bottom plate it's
it's the craziest thing it looks like a
miniature Devil's Tower I don't know if
you've ever seen a picture of the
Devil's Tower up in Wyoming it looks
like a miniature Devil's Tower it's
about I'd say it's about 70 feet tall
and I don't know 30 feet across the
bottom maybe so that's huge because I I
know that that the summit here at the
end of this Trail is 300 feet in the air
I read that on the side at the beginning
so to think that Iraq is just half that
I mean when you're up there one single
Rock too brother
look around the corner man it's just
like
it's your private property but I have
permission to take the people there
especially if I call them one of the
guys his name is Dave Layman's and I can
get permission to take you out there
there's also an Indian burial man you
need to hook up with this bridge yeah
yeah but this this huge Rock
you don't realize how big it is until
you go down and get on the north side of
it and then look up because that's when
it's all one solid piece it's amazing
how the enormous enormity of it and
that's and that's in uh White right over
here brother Callaway yeah about 12 10
miles from here
okay you go up that's what I say Ozark
hippie cam make sure you connect this
and we can all I'll make sure you're
connected right there
and that's his YouTube channel but uh
the place I'm telling you about it's up
here in Callaway County
and you're local so we'd love to take
you 903. oh yeah that's me right there
brother right there yeah because the
cave we just come out of is about 40
foot tall let me come over here and go
this that's great
and then uh
almost 300 000. yeah I see that maybe
not quite but it's getting close to 300.
hey man you're you're like right at the
cusp of like like you're on an essential
Road yes sir yes
yeah it's been a track man I've been
about a year and a half so yeah it's uh
what what you do with the camera you
know what I'm saying but it's people
like you that make it happen though
brother so lots of love to you
yeah
even listen
your name on there I'll make sure and
stay contacted with you it's on a
comment or something yes sir we can all
get we would love to take you to this
spectacular route have you been
obviously yeah
this one
it was a it was a marker for Lewis and
Clark when he went up the river this
Mark just it's like a giant Arch kind of
like out in Arches National Park
now today
the Missouri River has moved about two
miles west and Hershey Creek runs right
along it but at that time Lewis and
Clark the river was right up next right
next to the marker for everybody it went
up and down the river with this Arch
yeah and there's a historical marker
there that talks about and when the
leaves are off you can see it it's about
a quarter mile up further than Eagle
Eagle Bluff
and uh that's a great area too I mean
this is a great area but that's a great
area up there too and of course the bald
eagles
Rock Bridge State Park please tell me
you've been there in Jefferson City I
hate
it
this is the one you gotta go see man
like but when you get there go to the
very back and make sure you go down the
stairs bro when you go down the stairs
there's a cave in there it just it's
just it's all Indian bro it's all Indian
it's amazing
beautiful area yeah but it's and there's
a bunch of trails
Rock Bridge State Park
it's my stomping grounds I've been there
many many many times and uh there used
to be an Old Mill down tomorrow and
there's still the foundations of the Old
Mill
storage buildings and then on the
opposite side there's an old railroad
bridge with the floors out of it but
there's a huge a railroad Ridge across
the Cedar Creek
that's beautiful and explored the whole
area the creek makes a big U-turn there
and I'm going down and exploring the
whole area
and I guess about three years ago I was
exploring and I came across
somebody had built is about this tall
they built a mud pyramid perfectly
shaped
pyramid
now I have a
I do some research and it's very
eccentric in his thinking there's a
there's a legend that has it that the
Knights Templar
took what was known as the Delta of
Enoch which was a golden pyramid
and he took it out into the 112th
longitudinal
parallel out in Montana and they buried
it and they left the Blackfoot Indians
to guard it
now when John Colter went out there and
he was the founder of Yellowstone and
actually I got to interview his uh one
of his uh
descendants who was out there exploring
and he was telling me about it and I
went and researched it John Colter was
the guy that discovered Yellowstone
and he was out there he was with Lewis
and Clark
and they were exploring that area where
this so-called Delta Arena course
deposited and he was captured by the
Blackfoot indians
and they told him they'd let him go
but if he ever caught him out there
again that Kelly well he got out there
and escaped they called that cultures
run and then when he discovered
Yellowstone they call that cultures hell
and actually right down here at New
Haven Missouri
where he came from right down here and
you figure all the stuff out just by
meeting people yeah
yeah I'm not an internet her reading
books brother he puts them he puts them
together
air and climate where we have uh social
media and digital yes yes I agree
ment yes
but a book will tell you the truth yeah
and that'll take you places like where
you guys are going yeah I'll tell you
something else this is true and you can
research it out if you want to it's
awesome brother my uh my family when
they lived in Kentucky Washington County
Kentucky
Spoons the berries and the Lincolns all
lived within about a mile and half of
each other he is a link and uh Tom
Lincoln lived with the berries
uh no not Tom Nancy Hanks lived with the
berries for about a few years
before she married Tom Lincoln and they
married in the very cabin and there's a
state park down in
Kentucky that has the cabin where they
got married and it's got the Lincoln
house which was quite large
and uh
but yes and also Tom Hanks
can through the Hank side
I'm not really cancer Tom Hanks but he's
kin to the Lincoln so the Hank side and
I can't do the Shipley side of the
berries
I uh
not the Jackie Gleason no no that wasn't
what I was thinking I was thinking about
a fellow the name of Michael Luisa he
was he used to be
a musician
for the band it was on an offsuit of
Kansas called A.D and Michael Gleason I
think he's dead man
[Music]
a very good one too and he played with
Carrie Elizabeth
okay okay
I found it interesting because I also
played piano and make music
so sweet I was wondering like maybe go
on the Internet or Google Michael please
well I could be wrong but I think it's
okay but checking out use with the band
called a d which is back in the late in
the 80s early 90s
um
but he was a great
I think he's passed away but I I could
be wrong but I think he's passed away
but uh and my brother-in-law is a
guitarist and a great guitarist you
might want to go on the internet Michael
Sparks
40 miles
40 Mile Detroit he's the lead guitarist
pianos legit though Adam that's a man
yeah probably what's therapy to listen
to it too man so thanks for creating it
bro it's me I don't
know
I'm Gleason
40 mile detour they
back when the code was in play
they played it to Charleston uh
Performing Arts Center
and of course it wasn't in the audience
or anything but it was a great place to
play in and they got to do nine songs in
a row this recording in there it's
really
really guitars
but check out Michael Gleason yeah check
up with us sometime man I'm Lance again
or hippy they call me hippy on this
thing right here but uh Lance and then
before I go you mentioned uh it's
therapeutic to listen to piano yeah if
you ever want to listen to something I
play at well I made an album last year
and I could share it with you I'd love
to hear bro
1G
easy
see this is why we met him my man I've
got a friend that's a DJ and she's
starting to create me it's from Colombia
hey that's awesome yeah she knows like
Colombia the country oh okay she's
coming here bro yeah yeah we might have
to we might have to throw some ideas off
of him and her together somehow yeah
and she always she plays the electronic
at the EDC type music or EDM that's
awesome but she mixes in the jungle
beats bro she put some jungle in there
though man that just moves the body
brother oh man yeah
Hannah Marta
yeah yeah she's she's awesome but uh
she'll be I'm gonna I'll probably end up
going to get her or she's gonna get the
train from Cali she's in Cali right now
she's cutting buds she's Humboldt County
girl but that's all she's ever known
like whenever she goes from one place
she just goes over there but she
finished her school a year and a half
ago when that's when I first met her and
I met her in the Carmen Mexico of all
places and yeah I showed up for a movie
set one day and she was right there and
I'm just down here like this and
try to pay I've seen I've seen it from a
distance I could see her curly hair but
that is all I ever looked at her right
because I just don't I'm just not that
dude really right as I pull up and my
job was to flirt with this girl and I
get right up to her and I'm just like
I looked up there I was just blown away
by our Beauty man I I didn't I didn't
think this was gonna happen like that
yeah and so my my whole deal was to
flirt with her next thing I know we're
all gone on dates together she's asking
me the dinner yeah
yeah
it's a major blessing though but Adam
good talking with you I know we're gonna
cross it was cool quite literally we
crossed faster on the trail bro that's
why this camera's here man
you know I was just he was just standing
on a bridge
out there it's a Martin National Forest
up
uh close to the Devil's Backbone yeah
and he was just standing there like
struck up a conversation with him and we
found out and uh where'd you get your
schooling from Brother uh the Los
Angeles Film School
Jim Morrison
I don't know if you know
yeah a lot of people don't know that
the book of poetry that was very deep
very deep 1G 1G guys check out it check
out his uh his music too for me if you
don't mind guys go ahead you're on the
computer right now just Google 1G Adam
Gleason check out his piano he's got
some great mixes going on guys so I'm
gonna plug him in right now and uh you
know we're all about the goodness so
yeah be blessed man
much love bro much love we'll see you
soon but okay take care man have a good
day yeah see man
wow small world bro
holy cow I'm not stuck a year and a half
ago when that's when I first met her and
I met her in the Carmen Mexico of all
places and yeah I showed up for a movie
set one day and she was right there and
I'm just down here like this and
try to pay I've seen I've seen it from a
distance I could see her curly hair but
that was all I ever looked at her right
because I just don't I'm just not that
dude really as I pull up and my job was
to flirt with this girl and I get right
up to her and I'm just like
I looked up there I was just blowing
away by our Beauty man I I didn't I
didn't think this was gonna happen like
that yeah and so my my whole deal was to
flirt with her next thing I know we're
all going on dates together she's asking
me the dinner
yeah
it's a major blessing though but Adam
good talking with you I know we're gonna
cross the paths bro quite literally we
cross faster on the trail bro that's why
this camera's here man
some of the best
young man that was the center of John
Colts you know I was just he was just
standing on a bridge
out there to Mark Twain National Forest
up uh a cluster Devil's Backbone yeah
and he was just standing there I could
struck up a conversation with him and we
found out and uh where'd you get your
schooling from Brother uh the Los
Angeles Film School
Morrison
I don't know if you know
a lot of people don't know that
guys check out it check out his uh his
music too for me if you don't mind guys
go ahead you're on the computer right
now just Google 1G Adam Gleason check
out his piano he's got some great mixes
going on guys so I'm gonna plug him in
right now and uh you know we're all
about the goodness so yeah be blessed
man
appreciate it much love bro much love
we'll see you soon but okay take care
man have a good day
see you man
[Music]
wow small world
holy cow I'm not stuck that's crazy cool
how God does that
more people hiking guys
look at that being a good man aren't you
this is what you're supposed to do guys
you see how he's taking a piece of trash
out of here you know what I'm saying yep
take care good morning thank you good
morning Ozark hippie camping y'all ever
get kind of get stuck inside I got a
YouTube channel that's got all of Irish
Wilderness all of what's down South we
take the trail me and Ron Berry a lot of
times we've been in a lot of caves on
there so
about three hours south
Greer Springs I got a place by Greer
Springs yes sir yeah
yeah but Ozark hippie Camp man it's uh
shows you all this down there and we've
he owns 40 acres down there and the
locals didn't even know and we were just
you're kind of exploring his land one
day and he could feel we had a friend
named Larry Brown from Columbia he could
feel cold air one time so we went back
to that same spot and he's like Lance
there's a cave up here and I'm like
are you sure Ron I said yeah so I start
pulling and says come up here and pull
some rocks out so we start and this is
all on video our first time in this cave
and the locals team know this thing
existed your your first look to the
right
your first look to the right is 3 000
formations stalactites just hanging down
in this cave it's so full of life and
then it's got like a river on the top so
it's continually growing like non-stop
it's the most full of life cave I've
ever ever experienced and we went in
several of them there's several back in
there but this one was just a gift from
he's got he's got a cab I mean he'll
nothing
real fast everybody's nice yeah yeah and
um
you could spend uh we've been a week or
whatever down that country if you do I'm
sure he'll take you out to a lot of
there's a bunch of screens
Ozark hippie Camp as well
yeah yeah
both both and that's what my my viewers
are like that's really a place I'm like
yeah
yes I'm saying connected
oh yeah yeah just a little further south
beautiful area
but 11 Point Rivers kind of where that's
our major stay but Greer Springs about
six miles to my West and then Turner
Mill is four miles I'm like on the
Turner Mill North Road okay I live off
that road right there yeah yeah
yes yes thank God yes
please please
just say you met me on uh the Bluffs and
I'll I'll cut you in half on your
discount I'll give you a 50 discount I'm
not about I'm not about the money you
know what I'm saying I do that to keep
the bad people out you know what I mean
and then we could go into the berry
spring cave there's several caves if you
look at my last video I love spring I
was watching a motorcycle guy back in
that area and he stopped at a spot that
I've crossed or past 300 times
and I was like what's he stopping there
for and sure enough he walks down but he
didn't he didn't he didn't show what was
inside of it but there was a 34 30 to 40
foot ceiling on the first room and then
the second room back yeah just a live
cave though just completely dripping I
mean just fascinating
what about you guys where are you from
Iowa Iowa nice we got Neighbors from
Iowa yeah
[Music]
forget their last name Ryan and Heidi I
don't know their last name
man I don't yeah but they they're just
corner like they're across the creek
from me so I don't really I don't
associate too much with them but they
seem like good people they raise uh uh
the chicken oh he's a horseshoeer he's a
major horseshoeer he goes back to Iowa
and does a lot of horses up there still
for a lot of people but
so how far is how far y'all from here
then from home four hours
okay for another hour
awesome what brought you here
this is awesome
okay okay cool
y'all know how to do it right then
he'll know he's from here like he's he's
actually he comes from the family that
link inside he's a Lincoln right he's
really a berry but he's akin to Abraham
Lincoln like in the lineage
that was what 15
yeah the spring comes out of the cave
yeah and then it runs down a water it's
a waterfall that's
a creek that's right goes to it when I
got there those all them signs were
dilapidated they weren't even yeah and
they had written pencil for a trail and
point like no and then a year goes by
man and the forces they all got it's
nice again but that I even took a local
there that didn't have been to Turner
Mill that's one of the most moving
places I've ever visited in my life I
mean it's got the water pouring out by
the tons but it's at an angle so it's
like a Roaring River yeah so you have to
hike a peak in 14 000 feet in Colorado
to get that same sound
I'm all about the side sounds the senses
you know
it's uh he he's going to tell you a cool
spot to go next watch this we're gonna
go to Eagle Bluff later but that's over
there uh that's near Columbia but
Rockbridge State Park if you really want
to go see something's fascinating Rock
Bridge State Park is
years about 40 minutes probably yeah
which way towards Colombia just Rock
Bridge State Park yes give them a couple
of spots local that they need to go to
minus the private property we'd love to
take you as a private property there's a
150 foot Rock but okay you tell them a
local spot here huh
but make sure you walk to the you'll get
to the back and you'll look down
you'll look down and it's uh here
straight down here I'd love to go down
there that's what you're thinking to
yourself well at that same particular
spot there's stairs that will lead you
down so make sure you go down there yeah
make sure and then take your little
flashlight there's nothing not a big
cave but there's you know a decent well
it's a 14 mile cave whenever you go
through it all but you can only go
through just a tiny portion because you
gotta get in a canoe and it's oh my God
yeah it's one of those but it's
Rock Bridge State Park man you will love
that one and then Eagle Bluff as well
if y'all go to Eagles left we'll
probably see you there we're going to
take his neighbor there later
this guy loves to hike in the last few
years I've just kind of put everything
yeah yeah
pretty much and just lifting him up man
he's such a good song
you never know that guy right there he
started off as a rural mail carrier
right kept on saving some money saving
some money we started buying some farms
around here
we partnered with the person and he saw
that they they were uh they were about
to is in the 90s when the farm price
just cratered you know and he just loved
far and that's why he moved to this area
as a farm and and lo and behold Ron went
up to the banker and was like man I
wanna I kind of want to help these his
name was Lloyd is I want to help these
people out man I kind of feel like I
need to what do you want to help I want
to buy their farm and do this for them
and do this he's like oh man that'll
never work he said the banker time said
man that's no wrong that's not a good
idea I told him three times now it's not
a good idea
20 something years later 4 000 Acres
together they farmed often not a good
idea dude
yeah so God isn't he would never know
he's been blessing for me too but that
cave if y'all come down to the Ozark
hippie Camp his cave is full of your
energy like full
um there's there's different planes out
there you know we there's there's a
spiritual plane called the etheric plane
there's there's planes that we can't see
with a human eye or the human brain
right I went into this cave I'm sitting
in there one little area just by myself
this time I don't really go in there a
lot by myself but I just heard like 10
and 11 year old girls laughing just the
purest laugh you could imagine like just
Purity you know and uh another time
Charlie and Shannon heard the same type
of the energy is just so pure in this
case
I can't explain no you can't you can't
yeah
guess what man you got two more heels
all the way up solid all the way up
you don't stretch the facts so I was
like man yeah I know what I'm about to
get into it
is over there where I live behind that
like McCormick Lake there's a dam and
then you could go up and see this View
this guy took me up there and I like to
smoke a little pot and things smell some
roses on occasions and long story short
man he uh
he just keeps going and then he hits the
hill and I mean I've already I'm ready
to just take a break that's my first
hike with him right now I'm getting
ready to stop but I just grabbed my
little pipe and I get up I take one puff
and I just keep going up the hill with
him but he beat me up there of course
but dude yeah
[Laughter]
and what's your name brother you think
so
Jim cool I'm Lance man they call me
hippy on YouTube
and your name Delilah
Lori and Tracy cool man
certainly a pleasure they're from Iowa
Ron so thank you for helping them out
did he tell you about the Pinnacles too
in the Pinnacles in that area oh never
mind yeah yeah yeah
I know you'll love those spots
Rockbridge
phenomenal we'll have to come back we've
been all through southern Missouri
cool at Turner's Mill I remember it's a
heck of a trip
yeah well with the road with the drive
yeah yeah we've got pictures of it see
y'all remember the middle of nowhere at
least you got that right yeah
pyramid on
to leave him alone
I had one neighbor in the very back back
there where I live five miles of me has
10 people
operations I get over here
that's right and I get over here we're
going to his house and there's someone
gets right on my ass
[Music]
back to the real world
Ozark hippie camp
yes ma'am take care Lori yes thank you
very much my pleasure yes y'all too and
I'm gonna take one quick picture of you
both of you right there that's awesome
thank you guys thank you peace thank you
yes sir Jim
took up a bunch of these Irish
immigrants and took them down into that
area and they settled and they were
living there really good until the civil
war broke out and then all hell broke up
it's a bad area to be around here and so
anyway I'm gonna let you get yeah
pleasure talking with you we'll uh we'll
look up your site yeah down the road we
might be getting
met me on the Bluffs and I cut it right
in half for you you guys
ton of trails
Big Springs over there too
that's true Ron because I didn't I I
didn't know what we're gonna do I I
don't have I don't have nothing planned
like I just didn't notice so yeah
that's super sweet man super sweet and
maybe we'll see him at Eagle Bluff you
never know
I hope they go to that Rock Bridge man I
really hope they
that's cool they're all hiking together
man I thought that was cool
yeah I knew they were flying because I
looked at the license plate okay
okay and now the best part
okay
I keep telling you that yeah
I believe I trust you right you know
that man
I was just trying to work my my gut up
to get up the hill oh we'll have it easy
we go down
that's fine I taught them the story
about Grandma Vista you taking me
[Music]
it's ready to take a break and just get
my breath and this guy just takes off
all right man he beat me up there
ah
that was a couple years back
this trail goes on and I'm taking a
little ways there's nothing really it
just stays up just on the top okay right
we're gonna go down what do you got here
anything anything significant Old
Homestead okay looks like a foundation I
see something yeah yeah
oh
okay okay
yeah this whole area right here
growing up now
this is all kind of a flat area
on the top too you're right made a good
spot to yep
where'd you tell those people to go to
well that's a problem Eagle Bluff and
Rock Bridge
yeah I told them about that was a
backbone too
it's not you know it's not far oh you're
right yeah
oh yeah that'd be cool if they go to the
that they would be moved if that was
that a pond too huh
so
those two people don't have no dogs she
noticed this
yeah but I'm just saying it might be the
cat print okay
they're pretty fresh though man
of course of course
[Music]
ah look at the Missouri guys
well I got a new subscriber on the trail
today
Gleason
Adam Gleason
yeah no
that was the band A.D you said
what were you asking him right
yeah but we
um
wow wow
I see I don't know you had some DJ in me
brother
let's go
yeah
is that not the lookout
[Music]
thank you
we'll kept talking about painted rock
too
okay okay
[Music]
that's it
Iowa City
okay
I don't know much about Iowa
any trees over there at all
beautiful Farm
three three
parking along the Mississippi River
tight key that was named for zebulon's
height who discovered
wow
the no correlation to Colorado right
discovered
yeah new page going north
was his last what was what was his last
name then like oh it was okay
oh [ __ ] Ron you all right yeah
right
what a look here man
there's a bluff over here too guys
oh that is the grand Bluff I see I see
well
Darkness
all right guys here's a
underneath this tree I'll try to zoom in
for you I think they call it modern day
progress
there's that nuclear facility right
there
nice
look at the Vantage points guys
a lot of Farmland down there on that
Missouri
so that's Farmland on the Missouri River
so that's a beautiful area
yeah some of the richest farmland
in Missouri
I were pulling up to the Scenic Overlook
guys of grand Bluff State Park
got run over there checking things out
right now you know Ronnie's Never Gonna
Miss A View vantage point
if you remember where we that road made
a 90 degree turn well that's where it
comes down is that where we walked
across the river over there
no okay that's further up that way but
you know we went there oh yes sir I see
that's where it comes out
everywhere yes sir yes sir
[Music]
to get to here guys and this is Grand
Bluff
uh she's a whole series of them just
like that I see
it beautiful man
Rick C lived across the river
s meaning somewhere over in that area
but he lived over that beginning
yeah
in fact as you can see you can see right
up through there that's the end of the
island into the island right right
through there
one branch goes that way that's the part
that we walked across and of course
that's the main branch going on the
south there where the shipping and I'll
go
all goes we walked across to Tate's
Island because it was in a dice better
yep across across the Missouri that day
guys we put that video out you could
check it out right there right I got the
link right here guys but then a couple
of weeks later CNN actually did a a
story about crossing the Missouri River
uh by foot
pretty cool even after we did those
so what we got here Lewis and Clark
Wednesday 1804 we made 14 miles today
the river continues to rise the county
on each side appears full of water
and William Clark
1804.
and they stood right where we're
standing
at that time the river was different the
river came right underneath us you see
so it moves the river will gradually
move with time it just what it does I
don't know we don't know how but it's
what it does
it says from the overlooked the scene
spins 20 or 30 miles up and down the
river
of 1804 had a wider Channel than today
it talks about being against the bluff
foreign
height of 300 feet guys from the
overlooked Landscapes offers a
fascinating view of Ozark uplift and the
Missouri River Valley a special reward
for all Hardy enough to make it
and actually if you went up to the top
you go it's actually 400 feet 300 feet
from here I see it's another 100 feet I
see right
let me get a picture of you this way
around right quick let me just get a
steel shot with that Missouri yep
sir and then one more I like the bluff
right there too Ross brother yeah yeah
mainly there it is perfect
guys
oh wait right there's a great picture
thank you rod
e all right guys we're fixing to wrap
things up here at the Grand Bluff unless
we just we might have another Vantage
Point up top we're going to stop maybe
give you but for now where the other
people were saying that there we might
take another look I just want to say
thank y'all for joining us guys
I look forward to seeing y'all on the
trail soon take care
[Music]
[Music]
