Someone got a shoe left behind didn't they. We're here at the Rutherford Bridge again
just right around the corner from the Devil's Backbone. So if you come out the
Devil's Backbone you might as well come over here. Look at that river and the
creek is running. Wow. If you come out here you might as well come to the other
side and come hiking through this forest here on the Rutherford Bridge. See what
condition it's in this year. It looks a lot better Ron. Wow they sure have.
Last couple years have been sketch. This time it's perfect guys. They really fixed
the bridge here. Here comes Julie. That creek's moving. There's a little waterfall right
there. It's flowing through this. Here's a good example of karst topography guys.
The water's flowing right underneath. Man this creek is huge right now. Normally there's a
beach over here on the right right here. It's normally like a sand beach. You can
see where the water's swirling a little bit. It's gonna leave a lot of sand
behind. This creek is swollen guys. We say we got two inches of rain. We've got
some more coming but wow. Oh I see. Man that waterfalls going and then it's
coming underneath too through the karst. You see how it's been carved out? And
wherever that water's going it's just falling in the hole right there. Isn't it
Ron? Wow. You can see it right there. Disappearing in the rock and then it's just dropping right
through the rock guys. That's our karst topography around here. Let's follow it.
Right there where we're at. You see it disappearing? Oh yeah. Wow. Rutherford
Bridge guys. So we're fixing to cross this. As you can see the bridge is in
good condition. So come out if you're here at the Devil's Backbone. Come across
the bridge and we'll show you what's on the trail next.
