Guys, uh we're going in. Um they said
two miles to the top. So we're going to
the very top of this volcano. It's
called the Capulin volcano and it's
formed, you know, way back when. It's
been enacted for at least 30,000 years
is what they're saying, if not longer.
But uh just cool to be able to drive
around the volcano. And then there's a
mile hike at the top which we'll all get
to be a part of, guys. But right now,
we're just on the drive. Thanks for
joining us.
You see the mountains over here,
man. It's beautiful, guys.
[Music]
See,
there's the city of Capulin.
I think that's three miles away.
So, there's no telling how many miles
away all those ranges are.
Are y'all seeing this?
This is incredible.
Ron's going to love this.
As you can see, the trail's going to go
all the way around this rim.
Uh there are cactus here. These things
can get kind of pointy. I know about
those. But I'm going to show you the
bottom as we go around. There's all the
top. Here's what the trail looks like.
So, you think it's going to be a flat
trail going around the rim, but we've
got some ups and downs. So, it's going
to be wonderful, wonderful hike. We'll
see y'all down the trail,
man.
Yeah, big mountains, guys. So, we are
going to walk the circle of life here.
You saw the sign earlier. Probably put
it in the video again.
This is a trail that goes all the way up
and around the cone of this volcano. And
eventually we go to the bottom. But
guys, you can hear me breathing. You
want to see how big some mountains are?
There's the Grande. It's not a tall one.
That's a super wide mountain over there
up above in the trees. All right, sun is
shining. It's a happy day on this
awesome trail. See you guys.
It's a long, long, long way out there,
but it's lots of love around this
volcano. This is Capulate at its finest.
You can see we're trying to check out
the depths. So, come join us and thank
you for being on the trail. We'll see
you soon.
Oh, look at that table up there. Yeah,
guys, it's a lightning struck bench
here.
Super thick material. That lightning
worked its way through there and kind of
popped back out, I guess. I don't see it
damage the ground much, but that's
interesting. Here, I want to let you
read this. The fear of lightning is
called astrophobia. After looking at it,
lightning scarred bench. Imagine what a
bolt of lightning could do to your own
loved ones.
Guys, spring is springing. You can see
some of the heat just out there.
The complete calm still, guys. Still,
there's the rig way down there.
I got here's another sign toward a
force. The volcano was created by forces
beyond our time but not beyond our
understanding. During the decade long
eruption, lava bombs built up successive
labors to this loose cylinder pile
cinder pile.
amount of piece
and just reflection points, guys. You
can see for miles, endless miles here.
They say you can see up to five states.
If can if Kansas over there in that
corner here had a mountain, you could
see it. We can see Texas,
Oklahoma,
New Mexico is one we're in, and Colorado
of course. So, just a really, really
magnificent spot, guys. and the people
and the Indians have always been coming
here.
Thanks for joining us, man. Such a cool
place.
[Music]
Probably hear me breathing, guys.
I'm straight up another
high point of the volcano.
Made it to the other side.
There's some along the way. Help
you get up and over all this, guys. But
the majestic beauty,
the puress in nature,
being able to see five states on one
trail.
Absolutely
remarkable, guys.
It's been a fun field hike. Lots of good
energy. Cliff hanging at his finest.
Y'all can see that. We definitely thank
you. And uh
See once we get to the top with an idea
or two there.
This is what we're looking at what we're
looking at earlier guys.
They're saying that's the Raton Clayton
volcanic field erupted about various
times last 9 million years ago. The
Clayton phase second period was occurred
3.2 million years ago somewhere in
there. Rabbit ear mountain out there
guys.
Old cinder cone down there
right there. You can see it in front of
us, guys.
And there's Fome out there. Falsome.
Falseome.
We're on the other side of the the views
now, guys. So, we're looking up towards
Colorado again.
New Mexico's behind us. But man, this is
a cool place.
There's some pressure ridges here, too,
that I'm going to focus on right there.
See those
not rapid here, guys. I'm talking way
out there.
I probably hear the wind. There it is.
Right center
on the side of Kaplan, guys. I'm just
soaking in the energy right now
of Colorado. Rocky Mountain,
nothing but good pure solid rock energy
moving inward for
the other side was flattened out.
And this is one of the most remarkable
hikes I've done in a long time, guys.
Capital volcano just other side of
Oklahoma.
When you're out here, be sure and go
visit my friend at the Kinton Museum. I
do love to see you guys again. Thanks
for joining us on another trail and
awesome awesome adventures. We'll see
you down in the volcano next.
The delicate gray green yellow gross of
the boulder in the front of your plants
called lychans. Some lychans call are
20,000 years old leading to the nickname
time strains. These crusty growth
responsible for creating weak acid
breaks down the rocks soils. Plants can
grow volcanic.
All right, guys. We just completed the
circle of life here.
Just looking down in the volcano. So,
we're going to take you down there next.
Just want to show you as we're walking
what's happening here.
Just a beautiful, beautiful mountain
side. Big ceiling.
[Music]
All right, guys. We're going to walk
down towards the bottom. I'm showing you
already. Just amazing. Amazing features.
200 yard down is a downward height.
See some of these smaller eruptions.
They said some of them lasted a year,
some not in years, but they would just
keep building on one another. What an
impressive sender. Just a little
people on the trail with their
to
father
sisters.
Some of this
here
might some wind noise
but a magical Here you guys, we're
approaching the bottom. There's two
trails here on the bottom that we'll
look at. And there's the actual spot
where surface,
you know, just shot it. Definitely be
respectful
the national park. So, always respect
when you go there. Please, please.
So, volcanic plumbing. So right in the
center guys you can see where it would
have shot out and there would have been
some side vents here too. The vamp
capulin has long been plugged by solid
lava such as rocks you see in front of
me.
So, it just had to build up, build up,
build up. But you can see we're way
way
down here, guys.
That's all the way you see it.
It's another vent over here. So, that's
going to show
does take you down to the bottom of it.
So, water flow from that side to this
side.
Kaplan Volcano.
Definitely put it on your list. You're
going towards Colorado. If you're coming
back out of Utah,
it's worth the stop.
New Mexico. They would love tourists
here.
A good place to Hear
the birds
and the sounds, guys.
I'm going take this off. All right,
guys. See y'all again. Kaplan Volcano
360. Circle of life. Circle of friends,
guys. find them and just enjoy each day
as it's a free gift from the good Lord.
Be good, guys.
One last thing here.
I hear the echo.
All right, it's good echo. There's lava,
dude. All right. Later, guys. Peace.
See the circular rims here, guys.
