These vegan lentil and sweet potato steaks are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned—no meat, but full of flavor! With an aromatic red wine and shallot sauce and crispy rosemary potatoes, this dish will surprise even meat lovers. Perfect for an elegant dinner, Sunday meal, or vegan holidays.

🧂 Ingredients
For the vegan steaks:
• 200g (1 cup) cooked brown lentils
• 150g (1 cup) cooked sweet potatoes
• 2 tbsp oatmeal
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp tomato paste
• 1 tsp sweet paprika
• 1 tsp Dijon mustard
• 1 garlic clove
• Salt and pepper
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying

For the sauce:
• 100ml (1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) red wine
• 100ml (1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) vegetable broth
• 2 shallots, finely chopped
• 1 tsp vegan butter
• ½ tsp cornstarch
• 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
• Salt, pepper, thyme

Side dish:
• 400 g (14 oz) baby potatoes
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp rosemary
• Salt
