The FED Just Gave A Serious Warning To ALL Americans Who Have A Job. The Federal Reserve's "maximum employment," which is part of the FED's dual mandate, is impossible. And if it were possible, the FED doesn't want everyone working. The FED won't say it, but it's true.
Right now, the FED's policy is to raise interest rates until the unemployment rate increases. However, there are other factors that the FED should be considering, besides unemployment, as they fight high inflation and decide whether or not to raise the federal funds rate for a 10th straight time in a few weeks.
