3M 4251 Disposable Respirator review

Review of the 3M 4251 Disposable half-face respirator.
The 3M 4251, as well as the other masks in the 42 series, are designed to be light-weight and comfortable but ultimately disposable once the filters expire or become clogged.
The 4251 gives an Organic Vapour protection rating of 1 and a Particulate protection rating of 2.
The next model up the 4255 has a better A2P3 rating.
The best model in the series is the 4279 giving ABEK protection rated at 1 and the full Particulate protection rated at 3.
3M advise disposing of the mask after 1 month of use or sooner if the filters are compromised, however, I have been using the mask for around 6 months and so far the filters are still working perfectly.
The low price of the mask and the comfortability means it's ideal to keep in a car or work box and use it as and when needed.
The masks normally retail in the UK at around the £15-30 price range.
