SpaceX FINALLY Rolled out First Starship Booster V3 for Imminent Tests! Starbase in Big Upgrades…
The Starship V3 test campaign is officially underway, with Booster 18 finally rolling out after a long wait. At the same time, Starbase is entering a major transition as new infrastructure takes shape and older systems come down.
SpaceX has also set a new reuse record, pushing its launch cadence even higher, while the FAA has lifted its daytime launch ban, clearing the way for upcoming missions.
All of this and more awaits in today’s episode of Great SpaceX.

The moment many have been waiting for has finally arrived: the rollout of Booster 18. Its stacking began back in May 2025, meaning this milestone has been nearly half a year in the making. That long anticipation came to an end on the afternoon of November 19, when the doors of the Mega Bay opened and cleared the path for B18 to begin its journey toward the Massey Test Site.
Signs of the move appeared early. The posted road closure schedule listed a transport window from 11:59 p.m. on November 19 to 4 a.m. on November 20, following the familiar route from the Production Site to Massey—timing often reserved for major vehicle relocations. Another indication was the arrival of the newly designed booster stand at Mega Bay 2. This stand is expected to introduce a fresh operational approach for the V3 boosters, further signaling that preparations were entering their final phase.

The move confirms that B18 is now heading toward testing. Since Massey does not require additional road closures for test activity, SpaceX can begin operations at any moment. Booster 18 will be supported by the upgraded quick-disconnect system installed earlier in August, which was designed specifically for the V3 architecture.
During its upcoming test campaign, SpaceX is expected to run a series of tanking operations. Each tank will likely be tested individually before both are filled together to evaluate how the new hardware handles the extreme thermal and structural demands of cryogenic propellant. These tests will also help reveal any potential issues such as leaks, pressure irregularities, or plumbing obstructions. If all goes well, this phase should be wrapped up within two to three days of arrival.
