The MALL is FALLING APART - Fort Steuben Mall on life support- Steubenville, Ohio

Fort Steuben Mall opened in 1974 and had Sears, Kaufmann’s and Carlisle’s as anchors. Now, only the JCPenney remains and the mall is in severe disrepair with buckling floors and leaking ceilings. It seems no one is putting any money into the mall. The Sears is now an entertainment zone with no entry into the mall; making me worry for the malls future. I do like the hometown, community feel of the mall though. I wish that it could be a thriving community space for Steubenville with local shops and services! But the owners of the mall appear not to care.
