Hope your Halloween was a good one, we spent the evening at our local community club. We woke up this morning to a very windy day that caused some damage to one of our buildings. Two ducks came in this weekend and we are expecting a new arrival this coming week, comment below as to what you think it may be.

Welcome to the 10acre woods. Tara, my
wife, and myself, Mark. And we are here
at the Anola Community Club for the
spooky Halloween. Uh so Tara is uh
dressed up as a
>> I'm the eclectic witch.
>> The eclectic witch. And I have black on
and there is a cape and I have a staff.
So I'm kind of kind of be a wizard. So
that was Tiana. Oh, that was I thought
that was you saying mom.
>> Tiana.
>> No, I was needing a step stool. My
feline familiar.
>> Feline familiar.
>> Yes. Yes. Although my sleeves are
>> So that is They've done a great job. Um
and then set up the stuff. So the kids
are going to be coming out here.
>> Uh we usually get what about 15
>> 30
>> 15. Well, it's it's kind of slowed down
over the years. Yeah. So, we decided to
do it here at the community this year
along with everybody else. And we've got
>> show and tell with this is just decor
show and tell for what we make.
>> Right. Okay.
>> And then we got lots of chips. This is
from Andre and Mike's family too. So
then
>> ours and Andre and Mike. And then we're
also going to be giving away uh Soother
if we see a mom or whatnot. Soother and
the silicone uh baby bottle. is some of
Terra's findings from the crazy bins.
>> So, this is actually a soother holder.
You put soothers in there. And then this
is like a child's uh little sippy a
sippy cup.
>> Silicone dishwasher safe.
>> And then the calming collars, the plea
ticks.
>> So, it's good for everybody. If they
bring a dog, they get they get they get
cat toys, they get dog.
>> Of course, last year the ultimate
frisbes were a huge su success.
>> Yeah. And you got those from a um was it
it wasn't crazy bins, but it
>> liquidation uh
>> a liquidation world.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. And then water frisbes.
>> So we've got something for everybody
here.
>> And then Tara will do tarot card
readings if she hears the right person
comes along.
>> Okay. She can do tarot cards or tarot
card readings.
>> Terra card reading.
>> Right.
>> That's good. I like that. Mark my food
dish that Mark brought me food.
>> Oh yeah. So go go go uh have your uh
your finish your dinner.
>> A little too. So these are uh Ter get
the vibe when somebody comes through and
it's uh somebody's watching you. It's
the angel feathers.
>> Oh, okay.
>> Somebody over.
>> And where did you get what did you make?
What did you
>> I found them at crazy bins and
>> so there are tags that say your father
but them the father out and it'll be
like if I get that vibe
>> and it'll be like somebody your angels
watching over you.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. So, we spent um a couple days
last week putting this mammoth together.
And this is the haunted house. So, we're
going to go through. So, it's currently
we've got there's a ladder in there.
Yeah. So, uh it's it's 6:00 now. So, we
should be opening pretty soon. So, right
to the last minute. So, enter at your
own risk. I think there's going to be
people in here maybe doing some scaring.
So,
here we go. Oh, okay. I didn't see this
when I came through because the lights
uh I guess there's supposed to be some
lights on it that haven't been turned on
yet.
>> So, you can hear hear people working in
the background.
>> All right. So, then we go through here.
>> And then we've got
>> some spooky stuff going on here.
>> Okay. Moving through.
And again.
Lots of little
>> crevices here for people to jump out.
>> Okay,
[Music]
>> there we go.
>> Well, there's one there.
>> Okay, here we go.
>> Spooky.
Just lots of little added things in
here.
[Music]
>> And then these guys, I think this is new
this year, I believe.
>> I don't recall these before.
[Applause]
>> Okay. And then we carry on. And we've
got the spooky ghost here.
[Applause]
>> That's the one that I heard there. I
heard somebody yelling. Okay, that's
what that guy is.
All right, then we get into the coffin
here, the spooky coffin.
And lots of ghosts and goblins.
[Music]
Okay. And this year, the uh the haunted
house is a little larger. We actually
had some leftover uh pieces, so we
actually extended it to a full other
corridor.
>> Did you find it?
>> No.
[Music]
>> Okay. So you can hear there's last
minute adjustments being made as they
arrive
>> at the front door.
>> Oh, spooky
>> around where I am. So I there's lights
inside of him.
>> And this is the way out.
>> Okay. And we're in the final stretch.
Spiders, cobwebs,
[Music]
And out we go.
>> Well, it's now Sunday and the Halloween
uh went well. It was a uh it was a long
end of the week. Uh we spent 2 days
building the uh the structure and then
setting everything up and it was all
over in 2 and 1/2 hours,
>> right?
>> So, so everything went well. Uh lots of
kids came by. Uh I think we got what was
it about 168? Yeah. 168. Okay. Uh, so it
went well. Now, this morning has been
very windy.
>> Oh my.
>> And
yeah, so we've have an issue with our
barbecue area here.
Uh, yeah, we probably didn't put enough
screws in
>> the front.
>> So, uh, it's not the the metal roofing,
it's just the flashing. Uh, but because
of the wind
>> pulled it up from the
>> Yeah, that's the seam. So it goes up to
there. So it pulled the seam. It ripped
that out. Yeah. So I think we're going
to have to rethink that and probably put
screws in the front of it instead of
just the top. So that's kind of what we
uh woke up to this morning. The sound of
drums. You can tell when Halloween's
over is when we get all of our pumpkins,
all the unsold pumpkins. So yesterday,
Terra went into the city and garden
center.
>> Was it Lacost?
>> Lacost Garden Center.
>> Okay. I thought it was uh St. Leon's you
were going to
>> Lacost.
>> Okay.
>> And the reason is cuz they're all
indoors, so they've never been outside.
They've never frozen.
>> Yeah. They've never had a chance to to
freeze. Yeah. Uh so we've got lots of
pumpkins here. So, um if uh if you're
new to our channel or don't know, uh
pumpkin seeds are a great natural
dewormer. So, uh, we cut those up
throughout. And this will last us a few
months anyway. Uh, it doesn't get really
super cold in here. Only gets down to
just above freezing. Morning, Barry. How
you doing, buddy? Just rubbing. Yeah.
So, Barry's about 9 months old, I think
we've figured now. He's a continental
giant,
and he came in uh this past spring.
So, he is very happy and very friendly
and inquisitive.
Oh, you guys, the rooster, all the
roosters lining up towards each other.
>> Ducks were born that way.
>> Yeah. So, the ducks. Okay, here are the
ducks here.
So, these ducks came in yesterday
and you'll see one of them's having a
hard time. Actually, they both are. Uh,
their feet are crooked. One of the feet.
So, we're not quite sure. I think they
were hatched out on yard. We learned
years ago that if you try to open up the
egg and let them out because, you know,
you just want to help them out.
Sometimes there's a reason why they
don't uh they don't come out. And so,
uh, they came in yesterday. So, we're
going to leave them in here. The people
who brought them in bathed them first,
so they were soaking wet and uh probably
not a good idea to have them outside uh
in these uh cooler temperatures.
Okay, coming into the back.
This little rooster here, I I don't know
if he's got a name. If
>> Hey. Hey.
>> Hey. Hey. Okay. I I figured uh Tiana
probably names them. Heihei. I'm not
sure why. probably because it's like,
"Hey, hey, get out of here." Because he
is a little pissed.
>> He came in with a name.
>> Oh, did he come in with a name? Yeah.
See, he dude, you're you're so small
that you just don't really do anything,
but he he tries, right? Yeah. Okay.
Yeah. So, okay. These are Sriracha um
Sriracha chickens. This is, of course, a
rooster. And he is a tough boy. Anyway,
we were in here yesterday a couple times
because we had an issue with He's going
to keep going uh with the pipe here. So,
this is our spigot that goes outside.
So, you would have seen this and we'll
probably see this when we go and do the
horses. Um it had failed the the knob.
You'd try to turn it off and it just
kept turning turning. So, it was
stripped in here. So, we had to pull
this out and I had to uh reconnect. Uh
Terra went in when she went into the
city, picked up a new frostfree spigot.
Uh this is a heat trace that goes on and
I still have to hook that back up. I
just wanted to make sure that it wasn't
leaking. So, um everything's good.
Everything
Are you still at it, buddy?
Uh everything's good on it now that it's
been changed.
You are hilarious. And then of course
when you try to go out, he like chases
you out and you got to pick him up
because he's like, "Oh, I'm coming out
to get you." Okay, I'm out.
Okay.
All right. See you later. Hey. Hey.
Yeah.
We We have to try to keep these roosters
apart, which is why Sriracha.
He is out here
because they'll just they'll fight.
>> He's fights with his son.
>> So, we've got three sections back there
in here.
And Barry really likes Sriracha. They
It's It's the weirdest friendship. A
rabbit and a rooster.
Oh, you guys are cute. And it gives uh
gives him a buddy. Hey, Trade Berry.
Yeah. All right. So, we have grapes for
the birds this morning.
Uh so, Terra also went in and picked up
some uh some nicely ripened vegetables
that are donated to us that we can give
to the animals. So, nothing goes to
waste. Although if there is any concerns
uh with mold or anything uh we usually
throw those out because whatever we
don't eat, we don't allow our animals to
eat,
>> right?
>> Yeah. Oh yeah.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Cucumbers are a natural dewormer for
them. So Oh yeah. Jerry,
>> would you want a cucumber?
He doesn't know what to think of it.
>> I throw it in there. Yeah,
>> just throw it down there. Oh, Sriracha's
going to get it. Yeah, he's going to
pick at it.
[Music]
Yeah, he's eating the end.
The cucumbers go in seconds.
What's that? Oh boy.
Oh, there we go. The good stuff. The
insides. He's got to really reach.
>> They always jump.
>> Okay. Yeah. So, we've got pumpkins.
We've got lots of grapes here.
>> Bok choy. We have apples.
>> So, we're cutting off the dead ends. And
then the ducks love the leaves.
>> Yeah. I think ducks and geese like it's
something like 80 80 to 90% of their
diet are greens.
>> Greens.
>> So, you got to make sure you get them
lots of greens.
>> And Terra makes a fresh salad uh each
morning for them. shirts.
>> So, it was uh two nights ago, Tiana had
yelled up to the house. She had turned
on that faucet in the back uh to fill up
the water for the ponies. And uh went
out. I thought it was I thought it was
We got so many animals here. I thought
it was like a goat or something or a cat
in the house.
But then it became clear it was Tiana
and she couldn't shut the hose off. So
she had the hose crimped and she was
yelling up to the house. Um so came out,
shut off the water. Um and yeah, sure
enough it it had had broken. Um it had
just stripped inside. So when Terra went
in, she um got the replacement then. So
it's a cross link polyethylene pipe or a
PEX plumbing pipe. And the way they go
together is they have a little ring that
goes over the pipe and then it slides
into a fitting and then there's a
crimping tool that grabs it and squishes
it in and and tightens it onto the pipe.
So, I've got one of those somewhere and
it's usually on the hot water tank cuz
you don't use it very often. You're not
doing that type of plumbing a lot. A lot
of times here it is just the gear clamps
like hose clamps and you're fixing up
like waters with with polyethylene pipe.
Um so I went down water tank and I'm
like it's not there. Looked for I don't
know an hour or two. Uh Tara came home
because she was in the city and then I
thought okay
>> yeah with the tap she picked up the tap.
I figured, oh, we'll get all ready and
know and I'll get it all. So, um, so I
said, I can't find it. And I'm thinking,
you know, did you pick it up, put it
somewhere,
>> and she tells me about guys looking like
guys and not seeing things, um, which
happens from time to time.
>> And so I'm like, okay. And she's like, I
found it.
>> No, those were bold cutters. Close, but
no. So, what we ended up doing, Tara
went on our Facebook page and said,
>> "We need uh a half inch urgent
>> urgent. We need a 1/2 in crimping tool
and a ring
>> and like 5 minutes."
>> 5 minutes. Shimmer, the the family that
brought Shimmer
>> um they live uh close and she was like,
"Kyle will be there in
30 minutes. He's just f" and it was
like, "You know what? Team work, guys.
Team work." It only took about 30
seconds that we needed to slip the ring
on and crimp it tight. That was it. So,
um,
>> and then I traded I traded I I get and
payment, you know, cuz teamwork, right?
I gave him some tick meds.
>> Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Barter barter. So, so that was our
excitement. Now, the next thing is to
get that uh flashing. I'll probably just
take the flashing off and le leave it as
it was cuz it's been like that for a
couple years. Well, not bent up, but not
there. And this year, I put it on to
kind of finish it and make it nice and
and yeah. Um, didn't anticipate what was
uh what was happening. So, okay.
>> All right. Salad time.
>> The salad is ready. We're going to uh
grab the grain separately.
>> Well, we might be able to
>> Well, you're not going to be able to fit
it in there.
>> No, you will be able to take a scoop.
But, yeah, we need multiple scoops,
right?
>> And I'll take the second scoop.
>> Okay. We'll just do it in
and unlock. Okay.
>> Don't slip on the
>> Don't slip and don't spill.
>> Close the door here.
Okay. See, I didn't close the door
because I'm trying to There we go.
Okay, here we go.
The mad dash to get out.
>> It's like bumper cars. Do not let them
knock you over.
>> Yeah.
[Applause]
We're on a little stepping stones here.
[Applause]
Yeah.
>> Okay. Okay.
Here we go.
[Applause]
>> Here. You want to throw that one?
>> Not on a sheep.
>> Not on a sheep.
There we go.
Now,
>> here comes the pigeons. They're coming
down.
>> That water sure high.
>> Yeah. Yeah. It's right up to
>> right up and over.
>> Right up to capacity and overflowing,
>> which is what it was designed for.
>> Charlie.
>> Yes. The screamer.
I see they're not in here. So, they must
be out. I'm not sure if Terra already
went out with uh
>> Yep.
>> Oh, she did.
>> Charlie screams a lot.
>> Yeah. Onyx, what are you doing? Are you
getting getting your extra foods?
She's confused.
>> Yes.
Oh, look at Charlie. just eating his
eating his juicy apples.
>> Oh boy.
Oh, Toby.
Where is he? He's over there.
Toby, it's a pig.
Yeah, it's a pig. I know dogs have a
thing about pigs.
He just minds his own business. But but
oh yeah, listen listen to the drums.
Oh, that's too funny. Oh well, sometimes
uh sometimes things happen.
Okay, with three little boys here having
their
breakfast.
Everybody's doing good. Looks like most
of the vegetables are gone. Uh Charlie
seems to be the one that uh
prefers.
There's a rooster there. He's uh
wrestling a grape.
And Tucker.
So Terra should probably have the hay
out. Yeah, there we go.
And netor.
Yep. So Netor is well he was born when
was he born? We did look that up. It was
April April. Yeah, it was I I think it
was around April.
>> Oh no. So March 30th,
>> was it? Yeah,
>> I said April 2nd.
>> So he'll be a year old this spring.
>> The next
>> So yeah, this Yeah, next this this
coming spring. Yeah. Okay. And Onyx,
hi. You know your name? Yeah.
So, this one's a little different. It's
a quarter turn. So, on there it says
quarter turn. So, you It's not a, you
know, you don't turn it, turn it, turn
it, and turn it, turn it back. It's just
one quarter turn. It's on, off.
>> It's nice, though.
>> Yeah. Well, and you don't have to worry
about, you know, stripping something. I
guess the way the mechanism is,
>> it's got a stop at the quarter turn. So,
>> yeah.
And then so what it has what makes this
a uh a frost freeze? Of course it it
extends all the way in to where you saw
inside. And there's a plunger in there
with the gasket on it. And the gasket is
14 in on the other side of this wall in
the warmer area. So then what happens is
when you close it, this guy here is um
is the is the air I guess it's an air
lock. When it's on, there's a little
plunger that pushes up to lock it in
place so water doesn't come spraying
out. But when it shuts off, it drops
down and allows air in to clear out the
line so that there's no water left in
this area when it's frozen.
>> I like it how you say frost free. No,
minus30 deep freeze protector.
>> It ain't frost protector.
>> It's minus30 to 40 deep freeze protector
and it still works.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Well, when you live in cold
climates, you got to have the right uh
>> And yes, for those that are not here,
yes, it does get minus30 regularly
during the winter.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. If we live down in Florida like
some of you or Arizona or some of those
>> California,
>> could you imagine no freezing water?
>> Yeah. Wow. That would be
>> Morning Shorty. So,
>> yeah. So Shorty's been um
>> he's now on a on the same one we had uh
uh same pellet that we had uh JD on.
>> Oh, okay.
>> Sorry. Um and he's doing good. Hi J. Hi
Shorty.
>> Yeah, he's got some what is it?
Arthritis.
>> Yes.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. So now that the water's kind of
going now we have to be like we have to
flatten this.
>> Yeah. That's
>> You just always go through stepping on
the high point.
>> It's their hoofs that do it. They just
They make little craters.
>> Get in there cuz
>> Yeah.
>> Here, come stand here.
>> So, yeah. JD JD doesn't come out uh or
shorty.
>> He comes out, but he doesn't come out a
whole lot in the morning. Like, he's not
a morning
>> Yeah.
>> a morning pony, right, Levi? Like you.
So, it takes them a little bit to get up
in the morning. And these two, JD and uh
and Shorty are are older.
So,
yeah, we just have to take it as it
comes, right, buddy?
Yeah.
Yeah. Take your time.
Woo.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, that wind.
So, we do get there are tornadoes that
happen uh here on the prair. Well, we're
on the edge of the prairies. So, the
prairies pretty much end a couple miles
west of us really and then you get into
these treed areas. So the great plains
essentially you know Winnipeg is on the
edge of the great plains. Uh now
Winnipeg west you get you there are
tornadoes and back in oh I want to say
2005ish
uh Eli Manitoba which is just on the
other side of Winnipeg got an F5. Uh,
so, um, an F5 is of course the
strongest.
>> Uh, and there's not I don't believe
there's a lot of F5s. They're fairly
rare and I think it was one of the only
ones in Canada. Uh, but out here because
of the trees, a tornado can't get down.
A tornado needs to get down and have
free range on the ground. But with
trees, it kind of breaks things up. So,
it it can't really get a good grip on
the ground. Uh, so out here what we get
is just severe winds from time to time
and they call them plow winds because
they're like a it's like a plow that
just it can push and do severe damage uh
that way. So that's uh that's I guess
the weather events that we can get uh
here. So and we picked this area because
it was heavily treed and we didn't want
to live uh out in the middle of a
farmer's field.
>> I need new shoes.
>> Yeah. Yeah, my toes are coming out.
>> Uh
>> oh.
All right.
>> Terra doesn't spoil herself very often
with clothes.
>> Yeah. Time to get some some new shoes.
>> That's my toe.
>> But see, he wants to get in there,
doesn't he?
>> You done yet?
>> He's like, what's he got in there?
>> You working on it, eh?
>> Yeah. So, we did get those ducks in. So,
they are inside. And we've got a new
animal coming in next week. Um, I'm not
going to say.
>> Wow. We've been telling them for how
long? Have we? Okay, we'll let you guys
guess.
>> This is an animal we have had in the
past. We don't currently have now.
>> See if you guys can guess what it is.
So, uh, putting it down in the
description or the comment.
>> And if you Yes, you'd have to go back to
other videos to know.
>> Yeah. So, if you've been watching us for
a while, you'll kind of know that we've
had pretty much every animal.
>> Don't tell them. Just say I know.
>> Yeah. No. No.
>> No. Like in the comments. Don't say it.
>> Yeah. No. they'll they'll find out next
weekend. So, um yeah, so put it down
below. See what you uh see if you can
guess what it could be and um we'll uh
we'll check on that next weekend and see
if uh see if you were right. Anyway,
until then, I hope you have a wonderful
week. Less windy, more sunny. Uh and we
hope to see you next time. Take care.
Bye.
