Eugène Boudin - Impressionism (His Early Works: 1849/1865)

Eugène Boudin, French painter (Honfleur/1824-Deauville/1898), is considered one of the forerunners of the Impressionist movement. His fondness for painting directly from nature and his fascination with studying the effects of light served as a model for the young painter Claude Monet, with whom he maintained a close relationship.
