Y'all, this is a huge showstopper. This
right here, oh my gosh. Like, this
entryway is always one of my favorite
pieces. Hello, y'all. Look at this. It
looks so store-bought. It's not like,
spoiler alert. First of all, this is our
baby changing table. Really simple. I
would also like maybe get some gold like
silverware. I think that could be really
cool.
Y'all, welcome. We are so excited to
invite you inside for a full tour. But
before we dive in, I want to show you
around the front porch of the house. Oh
my gosh, y'all. We have spent this
entire month getting crafty, having so
much fun with you guys, and this is the
big reveal. But before we do, there's
already projects right out here on the
front that we have to talk about.
Starting off with Lauren's amazing
doormat. Y'all, this is a huge
showstopper. Our entire Christmas is
made with this doormat. Like, holy cow.
We are going to always have to teach it
the way that Lauren just did with this
amazing Jew. Um, such a really unique
doormat. We've never done it before. It
looks amazing. It's stunning. Uh, if you
haven't watched her video, go watch it.
Holy cow. 10 out of 10. Unbelievable.
That is huge. And it's really, really,
really been able to make our front porch
like wow. And if you have these double
doors, you know, it's hard to find
doormats that will kind of work with it,
things like that. Um, next I want to
showcase for you guys these adorable
wreaths. We've had them for many years.
Um, we love it. And then Lauren and
Courtney took these white bows and kind
of just brought together all of our
ribbons, everything you would ever need.
Oh my goodness, how amazing, how
adorable does it look. I seriously
cannot believe uh just how it like fits
all of our colors, all of our style um
for this theme that you're kind of maybe
picking up on. Next up, if you remember
shopping with us, this was a like kind
of a showstopper for Courtney when we
were at Hobby Lobby. And I totally see
why. We took this little sleigh and boy
oh boy did we elevate it with the
garland with the quilt. Y'all, the whole
shopping day Courtney kept saying it's a
quilted Christmas and boy oh boy it is a
quilted Christmas which is so much fun.
And then have y'all seen the trees?
These are trees that we actually got at
Hobby Lobby. But uh Lauren and Courtney
actually went through the trouble of
sanding every one of them down, taking
off all this crazy glitter. There's
still some actually on here. And then
they painted it just to fit the theme as
well. So, this is another crazy crazy
DIY. Um I I think the trees really are
amazing and just like just just a
showstopper. I love the pillow. So
incredible. Over here we have um the pot
with a tree with a bow and then even
more trees and a snowflake. Oh my gosh.
Like seriously, everything is coming
together so good. Um I'm obsessed with
it. Lauren, what else do you want to add
here? Let's switch so I can hand you the
mic and see what I may have left off. Oh
my goodness.
>> I mean, out here we talked about a whole
we did a whole debrief on how to
decorate, how to take what you have,
starting with your big stuff, adding
your fillers in later. I really think
you all at this point, you're pros.
Like, you're going to know exactly how
to decorate your porch, exactly what to
do. So, I can't wait to see what you all
do with your theme. Okay, are y'all
ready to go inside?
>> Let's do it.
>> All right, y'all. Let's go ahead and
head on inside.
Okay, as soon as we walked in, this
right here, oh my gosh, like this
entryway um is always one of my favorite
pieces. But this art that is right here,
y'all, a showstopper. This is a frame
that Where did you get this? Walmart.
Walmart. Oh my gosh, we love this frame.
We've used it a couple times, but we
were able to take some of the flannel
fabric. We were able to honestly I would
take this plastic out like I want to be
able to see our canvas. I want to be
able to fill that HTV. Um it is so good.
So we just took the flannel fabric put
it in there. Beautiful. Then we're able
to take you know just like a pennant
banner um and glue it on and then HTV
have a holly jolly Christmas. Oh y'all
it is incredible. Then we've used a lot
of items that we always have here. like
this is, you know, nothing a lot that
was bought besides the ribbon and some
of our trees that we grabbed. We love
that bow that we grabbed. I loved
showing you guys some of the places
where we've uh purchased items and
different things like that. So, it's
super super fun. Now, I will say we will
still continue decorating our house. We
have missed out on some of our garland
and things like that. So, it's not
everything we'll do. Um but it is quite
a bit. So, when you come on in here,
this normally has a different piece of
art, but we just added this awesome
awesome I forget where we saw this at. I
want to say it was at Kirkland's or not
Kirkland's, it was somewhere, but
anyway, we adore this. This is really,
really cool. Um, just the little bow. We
loved adding the little wreath. And then
we added another bow. You can see
there's a lot of ribbon this year.
There's a lot of different things like
that. This is one of the pieces we had
from last year. If you watch the uh the
attic video, the Courtney waited in line
for this item, her and Lauren uh to get
it at a thrift store. So, that's super
cool. Lauren, I love that you put all
our remotes in here. This is This is
going to be my remote box away from my
children this holiday season. I love
that. This little uh tree, absolutely
obsessed. We've just added little bows
to it. Something simple. you know, you
don't have to go all out with every
single tree. You do, which is really
fun. So, I just adored that. But now,
here is a showstopper. So, I just want
to show y'all number one, this fireplace
used to be stone, and last year we went
ahead and just modernized it. Um, so
it's all sheetrocked. It needs to be We
have a few touch-ups to do, but that's
not here nor there. But this is always a
showstopper with this garland. like, oh
my gosh, the amazing amazing uh awesome
little DIY with the metal. Can you cut
metal? Spoiler alert, you can. Super
fun. We loved being able to add that.
The stockings were awesome. But this
tree, oh my gosh. I'm going actually let
Lauren explain the tree because they
threw this tree together, not in a bad
way, in a really great way, in like a
little over an hour. like they were
they're becoming pros with tree
decorating and you're you're going to be
shook. So, let's swap.
>> Okay, so here is the thing with tree
decorating. Me and Courtney every year
have such a hard time when it comes to
decorating the tree. And I think that is
because there's one of two things that
you're going to have to do when you
decorate a tree. Either you leave your
tree completely bare or you have to fill
it up this big with this many things for
it to really be a showstopper. And
here's the thing, don't overlook the
pick section. These picss take up so
much room and feel so much. That's what
you need to start with. If you're going
to be using picss in your tree, start
with your picss and then go to your
largest ornament or your second largest
piece. So, we started placing our picss
everywhere first and then our largest
part was the poinsettas that we got from
Walmart, y'all. So, we added all of our
poinsettas. Next, then we just kind of
started filling in. You can see we had
these little curly ue pickicss as well
to add some dimension and some little
flavor to it. These I remember growing
up, my mom was obsessed with these. We
had them everywhere in our tree. And I
kind of like how they are, you know,
still part of the tree decorating.
Courtney has never done these before,
but she actually really likes these. So,
I call that a win. And then from there,
you're just going to fill in with kind
of like your secondary ornaments in
places. And guys, another thing for a
great filler is ribbon. And look, it's
not a full piece of ribbon. You cut your
ribbon into strips. And all you do,
you're going to stuff the top part in
the tree like this. Let me put my
snowflake back in. And then you find
where you want your bottom part to
stick. You stick that in. And then you
just come in and kind of like make it
look like it flows with the tree. That
is the trick with the ribbon. You cut it
in strips. Stick the top in. And
honestly, wire ribbon does work best for
this because you can kind of manipulate
it and look like it's flowing through
the tree. So yeah, that is what we did
this year. You can see we used a lot of
different textures. We have our velvet.
You have your gold sparkles. We have
like a tweed here. Felt jute sweater
material. It's so there's so much in so
many textures and colors. And honestly,
I'm obsessed with it this year. I love
it.
>> Okay, y'all. The tree is absolutely
fantastic. So, come with me. We're go
head back over here to this little 25.
Um, hello y'all. Look at this. It looks
so storebought. It's not like, spoiler
alert. First of all, this is our baby
changing table. All of our boys are
getting so big. I don't know if we'll
need this here much longer, but um I'm
obsessed. So, this, you know, we
normally have other art, but this is our
sign this year, 20 uh 25, but it's a
stencil and we mix the paints and we're
able to do the distress look and you
know, you paint a layer, you add and you
take away and you sand it and like so
good. Lauren, is there a video on this?
>> No.
>> No video yet. Oh my gosh, y'all. We're
holding out on you. Now over here, this
is one of the most magical places. Like
having this all laid out. Now I have
three toddlers, so this will not be out
all the time. Um, we are missing some
candlesticks. Long story. We will get
those in. I kind of love how simple this
table is. Um, we used the Hobby Lobby
place mats. We were able to grab the
This is what's crazy. Courtney got this
idea as soon as she saw it. She was
like, I one of the things Courtney said
in our shopping video, she does not like
uh having green ornaments on a on a
green tree, but she's like, I love this
ornament and I want to use it somewhere.
So, that's exactly how we ended up with
these here. Um really simple. I would
also like maybe get some gold like
silverware. I think that could be really
cool. Um so, we may do that this
Christmas. And y'all know we'll be
decorated like this until Christmas. So,
listen, we're having a holly jolly
Thanksgiving here at the Bill House. So,
it's super super cool. Um, next, I just
always have to give a shout out to
Lauren and Courtney for these two
shelves at our house is so hard to
decorate. Um, but they're so fun and
just all the bows and all the trees and
all. We did highlight some of our these
are DIYs. So, these are paper. These are
made with paper. These little stars
right here. Adorable. Adorable.
Adorable. And and just so you all are
aware, I want to show you talk to you as
I show you. This tree right here was
actually bound for the trash. And if you
look at it close, you can kind of see
how scraggly it looks. But adding that
little bow to it changed the whole look
of it and allowed us to use it for
another year. You remember these paper
stars here from last year? We kept those
and we are reusing those. These are also
part of last year that we are reusing.
Some of this stuff has we they have had
for years at this point and we're just
re we're just reusing and re-imagining.
That one is new. That's
>> new.
>> Yes. Remember in the haul video you
pulled him out and I said he was so
cute. He is new. And then the tree up
there is also new. Those are the only.
No, not the only. That one's new. Polar
bear is new. The little snowman.
Oh yeah, the reindeers are new. Those
are new. The snowman is new. And then I
think the only other thing new are these
little houses right here. And they were
ornaments. This is our hot cocoa bar. So
we just have this set out. And you know
when we have friends over, we'll have
little uh, you know, hot cocoa and we'll
be able to, you know, make them a
classic one or a caramel one, things
like that right over here. I like having
it right next to the uh espresso machine
so that you know you can heat up your
water, you can add all the hot
chocolate, you can do all the things
whether you're making coffee or not.
Super super fun. And then what we'll end
up continuing to decorate is more of our
like actual kitchen. So, normally I'll
kind of show y'all like a little more
inspo. So, we've added let's walk around
this way. So, we've added um this is a
new tray we got this year. Um, and it's
styled. And we're popping in with some
of our colors of blue. And we have
another little tree. Actually really
like this. Um, that super super fun. And
then we've started decorating over here
in the corner. But y'all, this little
area over here usually goes big. And
then these windows. I mean, listen, when
we moved here and I started doing dishes
right here, looking out at our beautiful
Cherokee Lake here in East Tennessee,
y'all, it's what's up. And yeah, we
normally just need to do some garland
here and things like that. But y'all, it
is October
9th when we're filming. So, this video
will probably be posted very late in the
year at the end of the month. We just
did it. We did Vlogtober. We did Vlogmas
all in celebration to get you guys ready
for Christmas craft week. This is not
even all our Christmas projects. Like,
y'all may think this is everything. No,
we have all brand new DIYs, paper
projects, uh signs, new tools, new
techniques, everything. But you have to
have a ticket to Christmas craft week.
So, go ahead, click the first link down
below, grab your ticket to Christmas
craft week so you can craft alongside us
all year long. All right, Lauren, we did
it. Woohoo! So fun. Listen, when we
started this journey, I think I don't
even remember what you and Courtney
said.
>> Um, I looked at you and I said, "Okay,
that's fine." Um,
>> we have had so much fun, y'all. Just
getting so much more comfortable in the
camera, in front of the camera, bringing
you alongside us for all of our crazy
endeavors. Like, this is really what
it's like just being on the Makers and
Learn team and getting to craft
alongside us. I never thought everything
we would document with this little
camera. I know. Used to we felt like we
had to have a whole production team when
really we are the production team.
>> We got promoted
>> and honestly it's so much more fun. I
feel like you all get to see us in the
real raw unedited version. Um and you
get to see our fails. You get to see our
wins. I just I love this so much more
and I hope that you all can see that. I
hope it translates well. I hope you all
understand that we are in this for you.
>> Yeah, it is so it's so epic. So be sure
to leave us a comment. Let us know what
else you want us to see after Christmas
craft week. I mean, we will be
continuing to Christmas craft until the
end of December. So, let us know. And we
cannot wait to know which one was your
favorite project and everything. So, I
hope you all enjoyed Vlogtober Vlogmas
as much as me and Lauren have. And it's
been awesome getting to hang out with
you guys. Thanks for watching. Bye.
