HUGE CHRISTMAS DECOR HAUL! This isn't what we planned AT ALL 🎄

There are some just like really shocking things that you'd had to have been there to see it on what the vision is. Okay. Oh! I do, I love it, and I feel like. I am really nervous. Guys, I'm so nervous to show Lauren this one. Are you? Hold on, let me fluff it a little better. Oh no. Oh my gosh. So surprise, we have more stuff. All right, y'all, it is time to see everything that we've been buying for Christmas this year. We've went to Hobby Lobby, we've went to Walmart. It is a full vehicle, and Lauren has no idea what Kortni and I have been buying for this Christmas decor. There's been some major pivots in our plan, and I think she's going to be shocked. So come along, let's do a haul, and let's show you everything we bought while getting Lauren's reaction. Okay, Lauren, we're at the house. I have a car full of items. I'm excited, I'm nervous, I'm ready to see what we have. Listen, I first have to say, Kortni was really shocking me. She was buying so much red stuff, but also medals. Kortni doesn't like red, nor does she like medals. What is going on? It was a really weird shopping day. Okay. I think you're going to be really impressed, but let's go. Let's do it. All right, Lauren, behind this door, there are some just like really shocking things that you'd had to have been there to see it on what the vision is. Okay, I'm already getting a glimpse of some things in here, and I am curious. A big red sleigh. Okay, let me tell you Kortni's idea. I love these though. Well, okay, so Kortni first wanted to, you know, as we were shopping, Kortni was going through, and she was kind of telling everyone at home about how neutrals are kind of out this year, and like how we haven't been, you know, really adapting with, you know, just neutrals, because there was a neutral sleigh, like just a wood sleigh, and she was like, I don't think that's the vibe this year, but then she saw these trees. These trees. Here's her crazy idea. Okay. Now, are you ready for this? A hundred percent. She wants to sand them down and paint them. What? Right. That's what I said, because what's so funny about this, Lauren, is when we were in the shopping video, like literally to goodness, we were filming the video, and right before she found these trees, we found some adorable blanks that were like these awesome, amazing ceramic ornaments, and then she literally looks at me and is like, Tanner, these can't, we aren't hand painters, or like she made a comment that we can't paint. Then two seconds later, she runs over and says, Tanner, we have to get these. We're going to sand them. We're going to paint them. And I said the same thing. Okay. So what is her vision behind solid color paint? Or are we like painting them like this? Oh, oh, oh. Like, like a, like plaid? I like can't even make this up. Like this is literally. So this was really interesting to me. This is the only questionable items we purchased this trip, I just have to say. So I'm glad we're knocking it out. Okay. So here is, here are my thoughts. I actually like, so I don't know if you guys can see these, but here are the trees. I like the trees kind of as is, like, I'm not a huge fan of the glitter, but are they going outside? Lauren is working on her pitch so that we don't have to paint these. They would be, I think these are going outside. Okay. I can tell that Courtney is really into this McKenzie child stuff right now. Apparently a lot of people are, and she's going hard. I've not hopped on the train. Now I'm a little out of the loop and maybe the people at home are too. Who is this woman? So McKenzie Childs has some like interior design stuff. It's been around for a while. But it's just now popping. Well, no, it's been kind of popular in certain like groups of people, I think for a while. I don't know how else to say this. I feel like you can find them. I feel like it's a very Southern thing. That is starting to kind of like expand. Well, I'm excited. We're going to have to do some research on her. I'm not saying that. I do need to do some more research. I don't know a ton, but I can tell you right off the bat, it's going to have to grow on me. Okay. Well, that's the trees. Now, moving on to more exciting items. Can I just tell you, this sleigh is everything to me. I love it. I do. I love it. And I feel like there's a lot of potential with this. Now, this is a new item to our knowledge at Hobby Lobby. So let me just bring this out here. And like, you're about to be shook because it doesn't look like much. Let me turn face tracking onto my face for a second. Lauren. Hello. I can sit in the sleigh. Like this is a big old sleigh. like it's actually very large. I probably will be taking some pictures in it. Like I am obsessed with the sleigh. It was, did you see the price already? I think I did. Okay. Well, how much do you think we actually paid for it? Don't try to do math. $150. Okay. So it was regular price, 140. Oh, I thought it was 399. No, it was 50% off 140. So I don't know what that math is. I didn't get a degree. 75. Like, come on. So 140 would be 70. So tax me. But like that was a steal. Okay. I can get down with that. Yeah. I like that. We really, yeah. We were, we were vibing with that. Now the next item that I have to show you, this is so funny. So Courtney is decided that, you know, she has her McKenzie child's theme. I don't know if this goes with it. So you tell me. She also has declared, now this is some from Hobby Lobby. She's also declaring this to be quilted Christmas. This is quilted Christmas? She's just declaring a, like this year is going to be quilted Christmas. And she bought this. Okay. Show the people. Okay. It's from Walmart. It was a very, very good price. That was interesting to me. It was very interesting to me. Here's some Christmas trees. Some, you know, trees. Show them the trees. This is, I mean. Okay. Now actually I can get down with these trees. Listen. I truly, now this, if you're going like quilted vintage Christmas, this to me looks like vintage Christmas. This I can get down with. Now also show them the price point. Like how much was one of these? Cause I was just so shocked. I don't know if it tells you, but it was really cheap. Like after, listen, after going from, it was like a couple of dollars. After going from Hobby Lobby to Walmart, I will say it was kind of like, it was such a weird like pivot because man are the prices different. Like it is just so shocking. And there was a lot of things that we would have bought at Hobby Lobby, but we knew we were going to Walmart right after. And I'm so glad we waited. I think if I did it again, I would do Walmart first, then go to Hobby Lobby. But that one was a really interesting one to me. Like I said, I like these better than this one. Yeah. Let's fill up the slate. I think this one will have to be executed properly. I think what is throwing me off right now, I think the execution has to be great. But what's throwing me off is these two greens together right now. Well, we were really lacking green yesterday. So I think we just started grabbing anything close to green. Now we almost missed these adorable reindeer. Adorable. They were, again, so affordable at Wally World. Walmart really took care of us. And listen, Walmart was lacking. We were missing multiple aisles of Christmas. We were gypped. I know. Now, look at this. She's thinking this is going to be a centerpiece tree. And look, it's from My Texas House, which she did a whole segment on how much she's loving My Texas House. Yes, yes. So good. Love these. So she's thinking that's like a centerpiece. I will say this tree was a little more expensive than I thought. What are you thinking? I love the basket. We're not showing people the basket that it comes in. Oh, let's show them the basket. Yes. We love it. Love it, love it, love it. Okay. And then to compliment the amazing, amazing reindeer, we have some gold. I'm really intrigued with Courtney in this gold. I think this is gonna be a really interesting style, especially knowing the stuff we already have. Yes. So this will be really interesting. Now, I am really nervous. Guys, I'm so nervous to show Lauren this one. Are you guys ready? This one's gonna be so funny. Okay. First of all, I'm seeing red. Courtney doesn't like red. Okay. We did explain that Courtney only takes the blood of Jesus and this is hard for her, but she really didn't show it yesterday. Okay. Can you close your eyes? I have to fluff one of these out. Okay. For the tree. Actually, I kinda like this. I think that this can be really cute with the theme that Courtney is going for. We bought 12. I can get down with these. Okay. I can get down with these. Well, here's a Merry Christmas. The only thing I wish is I wish that it had gold center bells. Yeah, I agree. I think that it needs gold center bells. I totally agree. Listen, it's Walmart, we take what we get. Whimsy Christmas, I think that Courtney's going for. Yeah, it's a really different style. I don't know if we're gonna pull it off to what we're all imagining. Now, there were so many affordable ornaments at Walmart. We bought so many packs of these, like super, super simple, you know, just like super easy for, so we bought a whole bag of those. So that's beautiful. Now in this bag, this, look at this little quilted snowman for the shelves. Now this is adorable. Yeah, we gotta show the people. This is cute. And this is gonna look so good on our little shelves. Yeah, and that's adorable. And then again, like that one was like under $7, I think like so super good. Now, what interesting thing that Courtney was talking about yesterday is that there is actually some blue in the vision board. Yes. So, it was really hard to find a lot of blue, but we found some of these blue trees, which- I love the blue bottle brush trees. I know, the bottle brush trees are everything. Once again, this is going for the, kind of like the whimsy, quilted. Are you guys- Are you already seeing it now? Are you all seeing the vision? Okay, I'm seeing everything come together. Yeah, especially cause you know what we have already at our house. And I was explaining to people yesterday that, you know, sometimes stepping into someone's home who reuses a lot of stuff they already have, it feels very extra. But really we spent, you know, a couple hundred dollars, maybe more than a couple hundred yesterday. But you know, this is probably almost all we'll have to buy. New. And there might be some of this- Yes, we return. Yes, that we may return. These are some candles to go in, you know, just- You can't go wrong. You can never go wrong with type of candles. Can't, can't. Okay, we got one new bell. Because one thing that really interested me yesterday, y'all, just so that you're aware, Courtney was against any wood. So if I was like, oh, this looks really good, but it was wood, she was like, no. Like it is definitely a more metals and like- So I think it's also because a lot of what you already have, we already have a lot of wood elements. I don't think that we're going to completely go away a hundred percent from the wood elements. I think there are going to be touches. But she did let me buy a new bell. Oh, now that's a pretty bell. And again, this is from that company, My Texas House. I thought it was My Texas House. At home. Maybe they had the same thing. A Mandela effect. Okay, and then here's two more bottle brush trees in that beautiful blue. Love it, love it. And you may be thinking we're done, but we're not. We're not even done. Okay, what's in here? Y'all, what is in here? Okay, wait. So Lauren, there was some really adorable anthro inspired, like if we were doing an anthro section, we could do it all at Walmart. Like there was so much. We're not doing that this year, but- Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, no, it's falling. Okay, Courtney, this was a really weird segment. I'll just be frank with you. It's nothing impressive. She bought all of these, but she said she loved them. She loves these. But then she was like, I hate these because it's green on a green tree. You can't see it. But imagine putting it on a, imagine putting it on a present. Actually, what I was thinking is on a stocking. That would be adorable. That would just be adorable. And then we could do like a little cricket element or ooh. Okay, well, I love that. Well, we bought some. And again, that could be something we return. I just was really intrigued. I think everyone at home is gonna be really impressed seeing Courtney shop, because I really think her brain really came out and like you all got to see her ideas come together. So that's super fun. So I'm gonna get some more bags. You give the people a little debrief on what you're thinking. Okay, so Tanner's gonna get some more bags. I am thinking, I wish, I wanna show you guys. I'm gonna turn you around because I'm actually loving how all of this is looking together, like the blue with the red and the green and then the textures and the velvet, like just standing right here. I hope that you all can see the vision of where we're going, just kind of sitting it all together, even like the gold metals down here. I think one of the things that you all are gonna be so impressed with is how Courtney can see this vision, how she kind of has an idea and knows everything that she has in the attic, which we are gonna go to, and how she can see this. It is a skill that takes time to build and it is a skill that if you're not there yet, just keep trying, keep putting things together. One of the biggest things, and I don't know if Courtney referenced this yesterday, is creating a mood board, finding pictures that you like on the internet that you feel like you can recreate and putting them together and continually going back and referencing your mood board is what is going to be the best thing when you are putting your decor together or kind of planning your DIYs for Christmas, whatever. Continually referencing that mood board is going to be honestly the biggest lifesaver. Oh my gosh. I thought he was just meaning like two or three bags. Okay. Okay, here. So, surprise! We have more stuff. This, all this stuff, like just looking at it again, looks so good. First of all, just take, I mean, this is just like really true Hobby Lobby goodness. Oh, I can already see some blue ribbon that I know are in there. Oh, listen, there wasn't even enough. We'll have to go back. So we're gonna have to go back just for more blue ribbon. I don't know where to start. Let's start with this bag. Look at these ornaments. Take a peek. Oh, I love the shape. I know. Very whimsical. Very whimsy, very whimsy. Well, there's more. Oh wait, there's more. Oh, okay. So another box, grab those. Love. And then, okay. You know, we're loving the gold. Ba-chow! We thought it was one piece, or it is one piece, but it's like, it took Courtney a second to realize she really liked it. Because like, if you pull one out, it's like- It's like mesh. Yes. It's like a mesh ribbon that we can put on the tree for- Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. This type of ribbon is good to cut, and we used to do this a lot. Mom used to do this, to cut in strips. Ooh, and stuff in. Stuff in, so it looks like it's kind of- Coming, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So this is good for a tree filler. So good, so, so good. Okay, that was really cool. Okay, this is actually really crazy for a tablescape. Dun-da-da-da! Da-da. Wow. Different! Interesting. Maybe something will return, I'm not sure. I don't hate. I'm gonna have to- It grew on me. It really, Courtney had it- Courtney liked it a lot more than me. I can see this underneath a gold charger. Yes, a very like- Yes, yes, yes, yes. And a very, like a bright colored napkin on top of it. Yes, yes, yeah, yeah. So you're seeing the vision. What, oh, okay, okay. Then she grabs some of these. Check that out, check that out. Adorable. There's like one- Those are super cute. There's a lot of ways that we can utilize these. On the shelves, on the table. Yes, yes. Candles without candles. Lots of ways to utilize. Lots of fun ways. I'm trying to see if there's anything else in this bag. No, this is all those. Okay, this next bag, I'm really nervous to see what you think about these. Okay. I don't hate them. They are- This seems a little like modern for me. Like when Courtney pulled these out, I was like, whoa, like- So these are also really good if you're wanting a super full tree. These are good to stuff in your tree to make it look a lot fuller. These picks are- It seems like every year, the tree is our hardest part. So it's because Courtney does not like, or has in the past, has not necessarily embraced things like this. And there's nothing wrong with that because I'm also a lot like Courtney, as in I could put up a naked tree and be done with it and not put anything else on it. So I feel like there's a middle ground there where people are like, I wanna put stuff on it, but then when they do, it doesn't feel full and it's because you're missing pieces like this. So I'm very curious to see how she's gonna like this this year. I think she's gonna like it. And it's different for Courtney. Oh, I really like this too, more ribbon. So this is gonna be pieces that you can put, like you can cut, this is more ribbon, you can cut in strips and like stuff in your tree. Love that. Okay, so here, let me just be honest. Courtney, in the middle of checkout, I don't know if this is a husband thing, but every time I get in line, Courtney disappears. I will literally look away and look back and she's gone. And this is something that she didn't even get on camera yesterday that she just like went and grabbed. So again, I think this is more of what you're talking about. Like, I would have never seen Courtney Bell grabbing these. So fun fact, my mom had these exact picks about 10 years ago. It's back, baby, it's back. I mean, to the tune of a whole bag. And a lot of people, I'm curious to see what she's gonna wanna put on top of the tree because a lot of people will take these. Now, I don't know if she's that far in. I don't think she's that far in. Is that this Mackenzie Child's theme or no? I don't think so, I don't think so. This is, is this really, this really is starting to feel to me like two or three themes coming together. It's like a collision. This is gonna be perfect. Y'all, this is either gonna be really good or really bad. And you're coming along all month. So, okay, gift wrap is always one of the hottest topics at our household. Yep. Obviously, this is missing our blue. Yep. We, Courtney and I couldn't agree. I loved this one, she loved that one. So we- Interesting. But then she got, right? I agree. I thought it would be her and you. I agree. She was wanting to pick one. We couldn't agree. But what I find interesting is she bought four of hers and only two of mine. So, you know, who got the final say? But I like either one. The boy's presents and you're all's presents. Well, we're still looking for two other patterns. So we, you know, this really has to clod together well. Again, more of this, if you can put that. I mean, our Paula's looking so adorable. Okay, look over here. Another, this is one of the popular trees. There were so much of like the popular items from Hobby Lobby that our store had. Hobby Lobby was really well-stocked. But look at this tree, Lauren. It has the bow at the bottom. Hold on, hold on, hold on. But wait, yeah, there's, look, push on the bow. It's big, it's red, it's the bow. Can you believe it? Yeah. I know. Actually, I can't. I know. Right, for Courtney. Like, this is crazy. Like, OG people that have been following us for years know that Courtney is like very, not stuck in her ways, but kind of stuck in her ways. Okay, this next one. Red has always been one of hers that she's just always been so. Just been a no, yeah. She's really growing here in her years. Okay, this next one, I think you're gonna be really happy with because the cocoa bar that we were not vibing with. Like, we were like, eh, eh, eh. We saved it, okay? Get ready, get ready. And again, it's metal. Like, I am so shocked at all the metal that we're embracing this year. I'm actually, I'm so glad because there are a lot of metal things upstairs that we have not used. Oh. Well, hot cocoa bar. We will not be using this side. We will cricket our own side. Just to clarify, just to let everybody know, if you ever are a crafter and like the store sells you something with this on here, we do not accept that. We do our own, okay? That's like the rule of thumb here. We may, like. We could even scratch that off. Yeah, like, for sure. For sure, for sure. We could probably take alcohol and like rub that off. Yes, yes. Okay, more ribbon. More big, thick ribbon. We love, love, love. I mean, this is just gonna be iconic. So just buckle up. Buckle up. I know, okay, take a look, take a look, take a look. This is beautiful. And this is actually a blue. Let me bring it over here. This is a, this is gonna bring in the texture. So this is a blue velvet. This, you can't see that it's velvet. But what I love about this is also, not only is she looking at the colors, but she's looking at the textures. So let's pull all three of these in. Oh wait, look what I also have. Push it out, like, just take a look. Oh! All of these, y'all. But it's all about the texture as well. So you have, you have your velvet here, and then you have like a tweed texture, which is different. And then you have your glitter. And that also brings in a lot of interest. But look at this chunky, chunky. And then we've got some chunky yarn. That's gonna be super cute. And then we got that little thing. So what are we using this for? And yeah, super fun. And that is, that is everything. So Lauren, what, be honest with me. Like just, you can only be honest here. What was your expectation versus what we actually got? Did you, I think we got a lot more. First of all, after doing the haul, like it took almost half an hour just for us to talk through it. We got a lot more than it even felt like. But even in the shopping process, we were so happy that there were so many good items at the stores. Yes. So what is your expectation versus reality? I honestly did not expect to see this much color. I know. I'm so happy though. Yeah. I think that this is gonna be a very, very fun decorating. I think that this is going to be one that is going to honestly stretch mine and Courtney's, I don't wanna say abilities, but in years past, we've kind of got it down pat, like what we like, where we want it, kind of figured it out. This is gonna be a little bit different. And I am so excited because I'm excited to, I'm excited to always try something new and try to expand. I think the front porch is gonna be a staple this year, which it never has in the past. Yes, it is. And it's going to be, I think- I think the tree is gonna actually be, not that the tree's never not been a staple because it's always like a big tree, but like this year- But I think the difference is this ribbon that we're adding is gonna be different. The picks that we've never had in the past is gonna be different. And I think it's gonna be good. And our tablescapes gonna be beautiful. And the DIYs that you all are gonna see in our windows, I truly believe that window decor makes things just so winter wonderlandy.
