US Pledges to Secure Critical Supply Chains

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the United States aims to take control of critical supply chains, from rare earths to medicine and shipbuilding.

"President Trump is pushing for us to be able to control our own destiny and not have any choke points in our supply chains like he inherited,” said Bessent.

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the trade talks didn’t solve every problem in the bilateral relationship, but called it a good start.
