The Trump administration widened its economic pressure campaign against Iran Monday, launching Operation Economic Outcast. The Treasury put Tehran’s global enablers on notice, including a warning that could hit Chinese banks. President Donald Trump also announced he will impose a new 50 percent tariffs on all Canadian cars and trucks starting on Jan. 1, 2027.

The administration issued a new plan to charge more than $100,000 for new H-1B visas for foreign workers. It’s a measure that builds off Trump’s temporary fee that was first imposed last year and was set to expire in September.

A fast-moving wildfire continues to threaten communities in northwest Reno, Nevada. Thousands of residents are under evacuation orders or warnings as crews battle the human-caused blaze.
