
DOJ to Monitor Polling Sites in California and New Jersey
The U.S. Department of Justice announced it will monitor polling sites in several jurisdictions ahead of the Nov. 4 election. The move comes as voters decide on California’s Prop 50 and New Jersey’s high-stakes gubernatorial race. California GOP Chair Corrin Rankin asked the Justice Department to send monitors to five counties, citing reports of past election irregularities that could affect voter participation or confidence in the results this November.
