Somehow, when I'm in the most isolated places,
I feel more connected,
because there is something that is not in the natural world,
that speaks to the human heart.
We are in one of the most wild areas in North America,
looking for the remains of an ancient era.
We will walk on the street and on the water,
while discovering the great nature of this beautiful place.
So, take a break and withdraw to the fire,
because this is the life of a small cave.
We are in the Superior National Forest,
in the north of Minnesota,
exploring an area that we do not usually visit.
One of the most important elements of this forest is North Shore,
which extends 150 miles along the Superior Lake of Minnesota
to the Canadian borders.
But there is no less wonderful than the Boundary Waterscan area,
which covers 1.1 million acres of land,
which extends through the northern part of the state
and attracts nature lovers and explorers from all over the world.
Many points of access to the wild area
outside the city of Ely in the state of Minnesota are located.
The train is characterized by its traditional Canadian terrain,
with winding granite slopes,
scattered pine trees,
and lakes with no limit between them,
short or long corridors.
In this trip, we plan to head to Boundary Waters,
so we will stay in this beautiful cabin,
isolated from the power grid,
located directly outside the wild area.
We have the whole day to go out and explore,
so I decided to start the morning quietly
with the fire of a small camp outside.
I have to cut some of this wood and prepare some firewood,
and while I do that, let me show you some of the cabin.
The building here is completely isolated,
and uses a great number of solar panels,
in addition to a power generator to recharge the batteries
when the solar panels do not provide enough energy.
The camp has, of course, a fire ring that we will use now,
and this beautiful canopy to enjoy the views of the forest.
The interior design of the cabin is very amazing.
The living room is very comfortable,
with large areas for relaxation,
and you even have a bird feeder outside the window,
which constantly welcomes visitors.
There is also a heater inside the living room,
that uses a turbine to heat the cabin,
and gives it a nice atmosphere.
On the other side of the room,
there is the kitchen area,
which contains everything you need.
You have a cooking stove,
and even running water coming from the outdoor well.
There are sleeping areas on the upper floor,
where there are two large beds,
and a small seating area,
for reading or having your coffee in the morning.
And finally, and not finally,
inside the cabin,
there is a full bathroom,
with a sink, washbasin and shower.
It's amazing that I start my day here,
next to the camp fire.
I don't do this often.
Even here, in nature,
I find myself more comfortable and more attentive.
So, I think that doing it this way,
is a great way to spend my day.
And now,
I have some fun plans for this trip here.
We are next to Minnesota,
which is one of the most important starting points
for trips to the Boundary Waters area.
So,
I thought that we can't reach this area without flying.
So,
we are going to discover this small series
of caves,
in search of some ancient rock cultures.
We are talking about a rock art,
which dates back to hundreds,
if not thousands of years.
I also plan to walk on this road,
for some long distances.
Then, I hope to go out tomorrow morning,
and do some hunting as well.
Now,
before I go to the Boundary Waters,
I want to make sure that I have refueled my energy.
So,
I will have some breakfast,
then we will start after that.
Oh my God!
Thank you for this, Hasan.
In addition to this food,
this will help us to be safe today.
Amen.
Hasan,
I have a great breakfast burrito.
It contains sausages,
but actually,
it has a kind of rice in it.
There are fried potatoes,
and of course,
there is some cheese and hot sauce.
It is a perfect way to fuel up for this adventure.
That is so good.
I don't think you can have a proper breakfast burrito
without some sort of potatoes in it.
And these fried potatoes,
first of all,
they are so great.
Now,
after I finished my breakfast,
it is time to go out for today's adventure.
Because Boundary Waters is a wild area,
you are not allowed to use any kind of equipment on the road.
Therefore,
I will take my small car in this caravan.
The place is very narrow,
so I can't be with them.
Therefore,
I will stay here in the caravan,
and then we will take it in a short trip after that.
I am excited to get out of the caravan.
As you know,
for a long time now,
we have been using a bigger caravan equipped with an engine,
but this is not allowed in our direction.
Therefore,
we have to rely on our own strength
to get out and return to the caravan at the end.
Although these rocky pictures are well known for their protection,
I will not disclose their location,
but I can assure you that
if you want to go out and see it and dig a little,
you will find it.
Well,
we are heading to Al-Marsa,
where we will blow the horn and start digging.
It will be a short trip.
We have a few miles to get to the rocky pictures,
then we will return a few miles.
And there is a load for the boat between them.
So,
we have a short trip ahead of us.
After a short trip,
I arrived at Al-Marsa,
and it was time to prepare myself.
As I mentioned before,
this is the load.
It is a small,
wonderful boat,
small in size and light in weight,
which makes it a good choice to take with you on a fishing trip
or in situations like this,
where you do not want to carry a large load.
It is very hot.
Our first task here is to cross this lake.
There is a passage to transfer the boats to the other side,
which will take us to the next lake.
There we will find the rocky pictures,
but there are also ways to the top in that lake.
So,
we have a long trip ahead of us.
One of the exciting aspects of exploring an uninhabited area
is the feeling of loneliness that you feel.
It is completely tangible when you enter these spaces,
realizing that no one has touched your boat
and that you are completely strange.
Oh,
I think I see the passage to transfer the boats.
It is straight ahead.
The passage is simply a path
or a road used to transfer boats and equipment
between two water levels.
Here in Boundary water,
its area ranges from a few tens of meters to a mile or more.
But luckily,
our water today is much shorter than that.
I love the rocks and islands that you find here in Boundary water.
Look at this.
You don't find small trees on it,
that's enough.
Rather, it is a fully growing tree.
How did this thing start to grow, man?
Oh man,
this is great.
Well,
now that we have reached our second lake,
we will continue our exploration in a straight line
until we reach a narrow channel with larger rocks and higher rocks.
And as soon as we get there,
we will start looking for these pictures.
As you know,
I practice walking a lot,
so it is kind of fun to change things on this trip
and reach my destination on the water.
This, of course, is a muscle that I don't practice a lot,
so this certainly pushes me to get out of the water completely.
After a while,
I started to notice that our boat was getting a little tired,
and the side of the boat here seemed different
from anything I've seen on the water so far.
Here it is,
these are the pictures I was looking for.
I like it when you look at pictures like this,
because you are really trying to guess what they are and what they mean.
It is clear that we have a person there,
and below him directly,
it may be a wolf or a fowl or a quail,
but after that,
and in a way that he did not wear it,
there is a moose.
The water is clear like a balloon,
then on the right of the man's head.
I'm not sure exactly what it is,
but it looks like it's a fish.
And in many cases,
these pictures clearly send messages to other travelers
who pass through the area.
So maybe this is to warn others
about the existence of fish here.
And there is also a wolf.
There are wild animals in the area,
and there is a moose,
and it is also very aggressive.
But honestly,
what I like the most about these rock paintings
is the imagination of a person standing here
and painting this for hundreds,
if not thousands of years.
It connects me with humanity as a whole
and honestly shows how fast my life is going.
These people were here,
and they left their fingerprints,
and now they have left a long time ago.
And in the end, we will leave too.
After exploring the art of rocks,
I decided to stop for a few moments
to drink a little water,
then relax and enjoy the beauty of this place.
I really like the calmness of the place and its calmness.
We are just a few miles away from the wilderness,
but man,
I may be a million miles away now.
Before starting the boat back to the truck,
I wanted to try fishing a little.
I caught a fish.
Great!
A small bass fish here,
but it is a beautiful fish for sure.
Come back here.
After catching the crucian fish,
I realized that it would be better
to go back home to the cave near me,
so I focused only on fishing
back to the truck.
At the cave,
I enjoyed the meeting a little
while I took a break
that I needed yesterday
before going fishing.
In the end,
we set off to explore the cave a little.
The cave is built on an area of 40 acres of private land,
and they have actually put some small paths around here.
This is how Eli and I set off
to see what we can find on it.
I will tell you,
sometimes all a person really needs
is just a short walk through the cave.
It is good for the soul.
What do you think, guys?
Which way should we go?
Like a pigeon or an innocent?
You want to go this way.
Good.
It is a path like a pigeon.
Oh,
it seems that there is a cave here.
This is on their land,
so I must imagine that it is theirs.
Good.
This is definitely another small cave.
They have an outdoor pool there,
and there is a sign on it
that says it is not allowed to enter,
but the path leads to here.
In fact,
there is a sign for the path
right next to the cave.
So,
this must belong to the people of the wooden cave
that we live in.
There is even an old small fire ring.
This is a wonderful little camp.
I wonder why it is not being used now.
After our trip,
the sun began to set,
so it was time to return to the cave
and prepare dinner.
Oh Lord,
I thank you for this wonderful day.
I thank you for the glory of what I do.
It is truly a blessing.
Amen.
Just some delicious meatballs
on the old way.
I have pistachios and dried tomatoes here,
so it's going to have a little extra flavor to it,
and I can't wait to eat it.
But this is not a reason to hold a pagan celebration.
You heard that your people come to the city
to dance and sing and celebrate.
For a thousand years,
we, the nobles,
were burying the dead like this.
I couldn't break the curse
even if I wanted to.
I think the movie
''The Wolfman''
is easily the favorite movie
of Mr. Wolfman.
It is very strange
in all respects.
The way they filmed it
and put it together
with the music and everything,
it is a very scary thing.
It is definitely a good movie.
This is for sure.
Did you hear that, Mr. W?
Of course you heard it,
otherwise not.
All right.
Let's go.
After enjoying some coffee
and relaxing in the day,
it's time to embark
on the last adventure of this trip.
I'm heading to a nearby waterway
that leads to a lake
that is supposed to have good fishing.
And since this lake
is not in the wild,
I will be able
to drive a car
to make things a little easier.
We will take our boat
to the lake
in this valley.
This is a boat
so I feel confident
in my ability to cross the river
and return to the lake
and fish.
Oh my God!
The place is beautiful here.
I like the fact that
we can cross our way
through this valley
and in a place
where our lake is located.
It is very beautiful.
It seems that we have
a small pond here.
I was wondering
when we would see
some evidence of these men.
It seems that this is
a perfect place for them.
These canals here
are very amazing.
As you can see,
there is a steep slope
that leads to the lake
and surrounds it.
We will try to fish.
It is certainly a unique feature
that you do not always see
here in Minnesota.
Well,
we have reached the lake
and the man is amazing.
I just love the palm trees
on the beach there.
And again,
how the clouds
rise above us here.
It is very beautiful.
Well,
let's see if there is
any fish here.
I caught one.
Oh my God!
He is fighting me.
Come on!
No, no, no,
or no, don't do it.
Look at this crab.
I get everything
I want.
This is a really
nice crab there.
Certainly,
I caught one.
Well,
I caught it
using the old
catcher's bait this time.
It is another nice
crab.
Well,
I caught
this crab
using the old
catcher's bait this time.
It is really amazing.
What you do is
that you throw it
out and put it
only a few times
from time to time
and move it in the water.
And the fish
really love it.
Yes,
it is clear that
this crab wanted a bite
and grabbed it.
It was really amazing.
I caught another one.
They love the
catcher's bait.
Oh,
the poor guy is stuck
in the seaweed.
Let us get you out.
They are a little smaller this time,
but they are still
fun to catch.
Well,
it was a really amazing trip.
I spent a long time
in the water,
but with the approaching
winter season,
I feel satisfied
to be able to do that.
I would like to thank
our sponsors
for their generous donations
to this channel.
And to all of you
who watch these videos,
thank you very much.
You are the reason for our existence
this week,
and I am very grateful.
But this will end
the long trip we did.
We shot three videos here
in northern Minnesota.
Two on North Shore
and one here in Ely.
Oh man,
it was a great experience,
but I really want to go home
and see the girls.
So it is time to leave.
See you next week.
God bless you.
