Thank you everybody and now who's ready for the next act?
Did you enjoy the reptiles? Of course you did. All right so it's Falun Dafa. So this group is
dedicated to sharing the beauty of traditional Chinese culture through elegant classical and
ethnic dances that promote kindness, harmony and positive community spirit. Hello yeah come on up
you guys. Yeah they're practitioners of Falun Dafa and that's a traditional Chinese mind-body
practice based on principles of truthlessness, compassion and forbearance. Values that shine
through their calm presence and graceful movements. So here they are. Let's welcome them to the stage
with a bit of a clapping and cheering. I'll go, I'll get off.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the exercise demonstration of Falun Dafa.
Falun Dafa is an ancient Chinese meditation practice that benefits both mind and body.
Rooted in the Buddhist tradition, the practice is grounded in three core principles,
truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. The practice combines qigong meditative exercises
and a set of moral teachings. Practitioners strive to live by these virtues in their daily life
to become better, kinder and more honest people. After practicing, a lot of people said they have
found a sense of calm, purpose and peace that they've been looking for their entire life.
Introduced in 1992, Falun Dafa has now spread to over 60 countries with 100 million people
practicing around the world. The practice is also free of charge. There are no forms to be filled,
no membership, no fees or donations.
What you're seeing on the stage now is a demonstration of the five gentle exercises
of Falun Dafa. While the movements on the surface seems to be very gentle and easy to learn,
they're actually very powerful in energizing the physical body and unblocking the energy channels.
Some people even say that they feel more relaxed after doing the exercises than after a good night's
sleep. As you can see from left to right on the stage, the exercises are demonstrated in the
order of one, two, three and four, with the fifth exercise, a sitting meditation demonstrated at the
front. Let me briefly introduce the exercise to you. The first is called Buddha Stretching
of Thousand Arms, which helps to open up all energy channels. The second exercise, Falun
Standing Stance, is a still standing exercise composed of four wheel-holding positions,
which increase a person's wisdom and opens one's body completely. The third exercise,
Penetrating the Cosmic Extreme, aims to mix and merge the universe's energy with the energy
inside oneself to purify the body. On the right side is the fourth exercise,
which enables the human's body energy to circulate over large areas. And last but not least, on the
front is the fifth exercise, which is a serene sitting meditation that strengthens one's divine
powers. As you watch, you might feel the peaceful energy that they bring. It's a wonderful way to
start your day with peace and vitality. We hope that watching today's demonstration
gives you a glimpse of the serenity and strength that this practice can bring to your life.
If you feel inspired, we warmly welcome you to join us at practice sites across Sydney
or our local practice sites in Eastwood Park near the library in the morning. To learn more about
the practice, the exercise, and where to find the practice near you, please visit our official
website at FalunDafa.org.
Now, we invite you to enjoy the peaceful and graceful demonstration of the five exercises of Falun Dafa.
Thank you for your time and your presence today.
I'm doing this on one condition, and that is you guys make a lot of noise.
Yeah, louder than that. Come on, you can make more noise than that.
Okay, so it's kind of like the kind of noise I want, like, like, oh, can you do that one?
What about, oh, wow, okay, uh, wow, wow, all right, here we go, here we go.
That's nothing, it's nothing. Watch this, wider, higher.
Okay, this is a good one. Oh, wow, you can say wow if you like.
Thank you, or then how about this one? Oh, I know, wow, I get out of control. How about this?
One of my favorites, wow, how about that one? Here we go, like that, yeah, whee. Okay, how about under
the leg? You want to see under the leg? Okay, here we go, under the leg. Oh, you want to see more? You
can say more. Oh, okay, we'll see fast ones, we'll see fast. Okay, ready? You have to say faster.
Can't hear you, can't hear you. Oh, what? Someone throw that up to me, where's it gone?
I think the kneecaps are actually ready to go, so just get off and let's just roll under the
stuff. How about two in one hand, how about that? All right, I think they're ready to go. Oh, thank
you, I better tell you who they are. All right, okay, if you want to see more juggling, just stick
around, okay, haven't even got to the good stuff yet. So, this is the Ride Baha'i Community, okay,
Children's Choir of the Ride Baha'i Community. We'll be performing a few songs on love and unity
in the world, so that's all I got. Can you give them a warm round of applause? Thank you.
Oh
