🇮🇹 ITA vs. 🇧🇷 BRA - Highlights Final | Women's VNL 2022

It's Italy in blue serving. It is Brazil in the yellow and blue receiving. This is the final of the Women's Volleyball Nations League here in Ankara, Turkey 2022. And we've yet to get the first point. Oh, good up by Igonu. Well played, Piaccini. Different shirts, spiking, defending, going. Two nice blocks from Italy. Nice ball. Oh, goodness me, what a pick up from Igonu. Flying in for the pancake. And that little bit of hustle has given Italy the point. In the USA, I wonder what kind of a player she's going to be doing. Can I have her German passport? Is that possible? Can you give me the number? I need a German passport for the family. We go back to the match. We go back. Kissi serving. Get her a German. I'm sure she'll end up playing. Maybe end up playing for Italy. Oh, goodness me. What a swing, Dinesi. Very high. Touch. Oh, that wasn't easy. Well up by Macris. Great up by Borsetti. Brazil can come again. Borsetti's out. She's waiting. And now Igonu's waiting. Oh, but they go middle instead. Well played, Kira Keller. Much better ball in and a free one, really, for Borsetti against Macris. What a nice set. I watched that and I thought, how come that's not gone? It was not going to fall. I thought it was going in front. It's good to play with two different setters. Yes, Kira Keller just able to unload on that one. If the stress go one more point, if they make a side out, it's different. That's a perfect ball in. Oh, what a block by Carroll. What a block. And it's against Igonu as well in such a crucial moment. She runs away. She takes the decision before. The psychology's changed a lot. There's trouble here now for it. Oh, well, there was not any more. Oh, what a shame for Kisic. Set ball then for Italy and the luxury of knowing they could side out for it, which is what they'll have to do. They're going to have to side out from P1. Won't need to. It's a gift from Brazil and it is Italy that take the set, but not perhaps in the way we thought that would happen. Decent ball. Well played. It's a smart one from Macris because you have in defence 2-1. Yeah, that means two not the best defenders. It will take a while before I sit next to you, but OK, we'll see. We'll see that Brazil keeps on making mistakes and not doing the good things. And Italy demonstrates volleyball. But that will be the only one. Especially as they won't go after her again if they can help it. Good touch. Nice set, Macris. That is... Oh, that's hit out. That's unlucky. Nice cover. Oh, I say. Igonu, hardly. I think she had half a step. And now it goes too fast. It goes really too fast. Take the whole team with her. Good out. Give the ball. Give the ball here. I want the ball to see to Gabi. Well, a brilliant pick up from Igonu. Now the ball will... No, Gabi has a set. And unfortunately for Kissy, loading on that doesn't finish it off. And today in Brazil, why? I want long matches. My dream is five sets. 16-16 in the tiebreak. And then an impossible action to win the match. Well, no net touch that time. And the ball thumped away. Getting equal in the set. Well out by Gabi. Kishinaro reads that one well. Oh, and enough on it to see it go wide. For as good as she is in the potential that she's got, she's not quite firing at the highest level at the moment. But that will help. Net touch against Igonu. Good touch by Julia B. But it will be a point. You see, they have got the set. Well done by Malinov. That will give the set to Italy. From Italy. Just looking at... We've said and you've mentioned that this young Brazilian team that... They hope too much. They're not playing. Scrambled up. Good. Now the driver is there. Another Elvis impression from Piatrini. Oh, what a swing Bossetti. No one able to get near it at six. But Brazil need to get a step on. They need points from service. This is a chance. They might just have blown it. Oh, what a pick up. And that's such a clever play from Donacey not to follow through and hit the net. Good serve. Played again. Bossetti just... Misreliable. Very close to the microphone. And it's the first time in this five days. That's from a baseball reference. The way she's playing. She's knocking it out of the park here. Bossetti just so reliable. Coming up with the big points. Cennaro's in there. Yeah, she's done it again. Normally the tactic is give the ball to Egonu. But here the tactic is give the ball to Bossetti. Carol did that again. Went across the net. This time on Malinov. But nothing called. Egonu gets to get out of the way. Great pick up. And again. And kept in play. That is lovely. But that's fortunate for Kyra Keller. It popped up just where she could have a swing. Great passing from Trini. That's not landed in. They can stay behind the eight ball here. They can keep this going. And maybe they got a chance. Yeah, there's the moment. There's the moment. Get this ball. Give the ball to Alcacina. Yes. She's hot. What a heavy hand. This makes me think about this basketball game I played before on my computer. Played in the Club World Championships. And that's what this venue's all about. Oh, it's an error from Egonu. And now we're all strapped. Vital is making in the head. People know me from coaching. It's exactly like that. There she is. And Christina again. This burning fire. Holy fire is the only word for her. You have amazing blocking from that formation. Just put the ball over and in. Good serve. This is a chance. It's a little bit under that one. You see, they said Alcacina against Egonu. Egonu is winning first. Egonu is winning second. What a battle. Now you play Gabi. You play Gabi. This is what you make a mistake over. It has to come over. And now the ball goes to Egonu, of course. Bang. And down it goes. You just knew that was coming. Cossetti, 10 on 17. Zero errors. That's the logic. I think now, now you have 23-22. Now it's Gabi. Three rotation in front. The pressure. There's the ball coming. Not a bad ball in. Oh. Gabi couldn't stop it. And now it's match point. Gold medal point for Italy. And Arboretil. There's nowhere to go for Gabi. And it's victory for Italy. They've done it in style. They have beaten Brazil by three sets to nothing. And it is Italy who are the Volleyball Nations League gold medalist 2022. I don't know what can we say. Like, clearly the best tournament. The best team in this tournament.
