A Cliffside Sanctuary Overlooking the Pacific | Mateo House
Mateo House by Zozaya Arquitectos is a 488-square-meter residence located on one of the highest points of Punta Garrobo in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, designed to maximize views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding jungle cliffs. The home is divided into private and social wings, with features such as a central reflecting pool, terraces, and an infinity pool that blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. Built with concrete, local stone, steel, and parota wood, the design harmonizes with its natural context while incorporating sustainable strategies like cross ventilation, green roofs, and wastewater treatment, creating a serene and eco-conscious retreat.
