Southampton Station's proximity to cruise terminals and the London Journey is worth looking at because the roads are now so crowded and unreliable a road journey can put you in the wrong temperament to start a holiday.
There are five main options to travel to your ship.
1. Book a taxi all the way, sometimes shared, using the same car company that ships like SAGA do.
three main - door to door.
2. Drive and park. All of the car parks are well organised and have runs from the car park to your ship at advertised intervals.
3. The coach, from various national pick-up points like London Victoria to Southampton Coach station. We have a video on that service =. Map seen here as the coach and train stations are close.
4. Train. This can be one ticket, but the train to Southampton is normally from Waterloo, so travelling from North, West, or East can mean changing from one London station to Waterloo - best by tube.
5. You can fly if a long way away. Southampton has an airport.
6. You might find a ship repositioning, that is unlikely to work both ways.
