The manager of Queen, Jim Beach, also had a film company called Fugitive, where Stuart worked as a producer. They made the film The Krays, many pop videos, and there he wrote the book Landfill, which was adapted into a screenplay called Dream Hunter. First meant to be the sequel to the Rutger Hauer movie Split Second, it was then optioned by Trimark in Hollywood for James Caan and Jean-Marc Barr. It then was taken on by Pandora for Christopher Lambert and Dolph Lundgren.
Stuart went on to direct The Scarlet Tunic for Zigi Kamasa, starring Jean-Marc Barr, but that book was shelved until now.
