Southampton Station's proximity to cruise terminals and the London Journey is worth looking at because the roads are now so crowded and unreliable a road journey can put you in the wrong temperament to start a holiday.
There are five main options to travel to your ship.
1. Book a taxi all the way, sometimes shared, using the same car company that ships like SAGA do.
three main - door to door.
2. Drive and park. All of the car parks are well organised and have runs from the car park to your ship at advertised intervals.
3. The coach, from various national pick-up points like London Victoria to Southampton Coach station. We have a video on that service =. Map seen here as the coach and train stations are close.
4. Train. This can be one ticket, but the train to Southampton is normally from Waterloo, so travelling from North, West, or East can mean changing from one London station to Waterloo - best by tube.
5. You can fly if a long way away. Southampton has an airport.
6. You might find a ship repositioning, that is unlikely to work both ways.

today let's look at the train for
getting to your cruise down to
Southampton by train is really easy
probably our favorite way of traveling
if you've come from up North you'll need
to cross London on the tube and you'll
come up via the tube into the station
this way waterl is your station and your
train is going south to Southampton
Winchester Paul or Dorset way the train
does split if it's going onto Dorset but
don't worry it splits after Southampton
the easiest kind of ticket is the one on
your phone and you just put it on the
scanner it lets you through you're
either going to go from 12 or it can be
from just further down 6 or 7 but it's
normally down the low number end so from
here up to boots is around the area
you're going to be needing to look for
it is the quickest Journey so if you're
in Southampton for a day an Excursion is
easier on the train downside luggage
space on a train there isn't much so
you're either going to be putting it
overhead which are the smaller cases or
down by your feet or leaving it at the
end in a luggage compartment Southampton
station is easy there are cabs outside
or it is a walk down Hill to the ship
I'll show you if you ever wondered how
far the station in Southampton is from
the dock take a look there's the station
and I'll spin round and down the hill
whoa where are we there can you see it
there that's Norwegian Prima next to it
is the Disney Dream and just alongs the
Queen Mary too that is the Mayflower
terminal just down there and to your
right St literally just there if you're
traveling from the ocean terminal turn
left it's the same walking distance or
the same distance in a cab and if you're
coming from the coach station that's the
coach station just along from the train
station now when you return if you've
booked a time that's the time you have
to get onto your train if you use at
Southampton station there is a coffee
stop because they won't let you go on
the earlier train even if if you get
there because if your ticket says one
time that's the time you've got to get
on but there is a coffee shop and the
toilets are
unisex if you want to look at the coach
Journey we have a separate film on the
coach Journey from Victoria so that's
here on Doris visits and don't forget if
you want to see a port video just type
in on the search Doris visits plus the
name of your destination and if you've
read my book cruise ship Heist please
review it
