6 Video Views·Sep 24, 2025
More than a drink, tea is an institution in China. It is a central part of daily life and one of the country’s main crops.
Even nowadays, the leaves are handpicked. For a tea to taste good, the tea growers must only pluck the small leaves. Each, one by one.
It’s a daunting and tiring task but it is the only way to ensure the quality of the product. Mianlin Chen shows us around its exploitation and tells us more about his passion for this seventy million years old plant.
