This video is a combination of our visit to Pilgrim Harps in Surrey on November 22nd, 2021 to collect my 'Skylark' and me playing this beautiful harp in the background.

The people at Pilgrim Harps were brilliant Donna took care of me (and still does if I need a new string!) and James showed us around the workshop. It was fascinating. I've included photos and information about Pilgrim Harps.

I've come a long way since we brought this harp home. I had no idea what I was doing with '0' experience but plenty of determination! It's been both challenging and rewarding and good for my heart and it brings joy to many.

I made this to remember that exciting time as it was not long after my dear dad passed away. He left me some money to 'do something good for yourself with' - so began my harp journey as a complete beginner. It's been great so far, it's not easy but it's beautiful. This harp is called 'Ernest' after dad - ernest as in 'determined' and 'sincere')

At the beginning of the video I'm playing 'Dream Angus' Arr. Angela Boraston. At the end I'm playing 'Lunaris' by Heather Downie. I added in some photos of my childhood with my parents and sister, some with my husband, Neil and a few other happy memories.

I'm a very determined beginner making really slow progress!!!
