Whale watching with Rich Coast Diving, Playa del Coco, Costa Rica

The Pacific coast of Costa Rica is one of the best places to observe Humpback Whales!

Just a quick recap! Niels and me, we moved to Costa Rica 3 months ago and we bought a dive center! We are now the proud owners of Rich Coast Diving and we making this amazing country our home! The life of a brand new dive centre owner doesn't leave me much time to edit video but, I could not resist to share with you this incredible moment !

In between two dives, our captain spotted a group of Humpback whales not far from the boat and lucky for us, Niels had the drone with him! You can enjoy the result!

The best time to observe whales around Playa del Coco, is from June to September, and you can have amazing dives, just listening to the song of the whales!

Did you know that whales slap the water with their pectoral fins as a mean of communication? And the mother spend hours teaching their calves, this mysterious language!
