Restoration of Antique Georgian Highlander Sword

Hi! Today I am working on the restoration of a Georgian antique blade, specifically a Khevsurian gurda. This is clearly visible from the decoration of the scabbard, the hilt, and its overall form. The piece is in poor condition: deep rust on the fittings and the guard, tarnished brass, and the covering is coated with a thick layer of patina, rust, and dirt. It was impossible to draw the blade from the scabbard at once, so I had to do it during the restoration process. Well then, let’s fix it. Let’s begin.
