We Finished Repairing Our Mobile Home, And It's Ready To Rent!

The chirping you hear is because we didn't pull the tab on the fire alarm. So it won't kill the battery when we leave at night. Yes. So that'd be all right folks. We know it's chirping. You're supposed to be dancing too like you know spinning around the light pole. I can't do that. Mary Poppins did that. Wasn't she the one that done that? I think it was Gene Kelly. Who was playing Mary Poppins? That's not a dude. I said who was playing Gene Kelly? I don't know. I don't think she was dancing. Is that the wrong one? Might be the wrong one people. We're working with some uh you know uh let's just say uh subpar uh you know. All right he wants the other one. Take two. See now think how screwed we would have been if we only had one of them. We just about only brought one. But we brought two. You always got to have a backup for your backup. Well I guess we're going to test it. The Indian we came. You could have got a bucket. The water's not on. Starting to get cold ain't it? A little bit. Well get some insulation on this. Petcock. We uh we stuck that in there real quick while we was doing the brick and we didn't insulate it. So we got to go up under here and insulate it. Every little thing. Donnie's thinking of everything. There's already insulation in there. What the world? Is there something under there throwing things at you? We saw it on camera. Okay we got the water turned on. He ignores me. Uh-huh. You threw a piece of brick at it. We got the water turned on. All right. Now we're done with that. But we got a pipe here insulated. It wasn't insulated. It was only a short piece of it. You know we got to keep it insulated. All right folks. We turned on the water. Turned on the water. Let's see what it does. Oh yeah that's better. Oh yeah. Make it rain. That's uh uh you're not supposed to say that Donnie. All right. Damn that's hot water. That's hot. Well go ahead and hop in there. You've been getting dirt on you. Well I hate you. I had to take my shoes off first. Just so people know. I'm gonna go ahead and say this. There's different types of people that work hard. Some of them smell bad all the time because they never take a bath. Donnie is not one of those people. He doesn't ever stink. He works real hard. He gets dirty but he takes a freaking shower. All right. So I think the uh I think that works good. You know Ronnie. Yes. The caulk man. You make the painter look excellent. Ain't that the truth. Now you're supposed to caulk before you paint but sometimes you can caulk after you paint for all the stuff that you missed when you were painting. Well you don't see it afterward. Mm-hmm. So we're caulking up around this window. Basically this is a piece of trim that goes around it. Well you all saw what this thing has set outside for years. You all saw what was going on. If you didn't go back and watch the beginning of the video. So you put your bead on there wherever you have something white and something else meeting. Then you hit it with this number. Yep. I know what you said. These paper towels are all bought. I get like 60-70 cents per roll. Now I know why. Yeah. They're pretty cheap. Those are not the world's best paper towels but. But for what I'm doing is wiping my finger off. He's in a bind. He needed some. I was way behind. Yeah. Problem is I think I bought 30 of them. Oh no. But guess what. Well we'll use them. We'll use them. Basically. See I'm covering up right there. It's like ice cream. It's like cake icing. You get a little extra on your finger and you can put it back in the tub some more. Looking too bad. Yeah that looks a lot nicer. If it does look too bad you close one eye. Yeah stand back. It'll look better. Back up a little bit. You know we're just trying to. We're just trying to make it look presentable to people you know. All you gotta do is make it look clean. Exactly. You want it to look clean because you want the people to move in to take care of it. Reasonably take care of it. Yeah if there's a big gap in the hole there they're gonna think it's like junk. Yeah well this place was a dump when I moved in. I don't. You know and they won't take care of it and mess it all up. Make it even worse. You got it clean you're good to go. A little more down here in this corner. Yeah that looks pretty rough down here. So we're talking about this caulk gun. This caulk gun is automatic releasing pressure. Designed like that so you know most of them they push out. Constantly. This thing quits. Don't push. Now the next thing I'm gonna look dude right there in this closet looks like somebody threw a machete and hit the door. You don't think it's a real machete do you? I hope so. This could have been used in like a horror film or something. They might have just used it for Halloween or something. Yeah. And then this side wall here has got crack. I'm gonna run all the way down in it. Let's watch it disappear. People probably don't know how to do caulk. I'll tell you the trick. You keep adding it until it goes away. Yeah. Once it goes away you get in close. Put a little more and then wipe it off. I don't see the crack in there anymore Donnie. 68 cents. I'm gonna probably use it all in here. All 60 cents. They make these little tools go up and down that wall. Yeah. They don't work. Yeah. Use your finger. If you're scared to use your finger. I see a screw. Man I wish there was something we could do about that screw. That one right there. Boom. Boom. Boom. Man the screw's gone now. That wasn't us putting them in because somebody had a cell phone. Yeah we didn't even install that. I don't know. I don't know who did that. Donnie. Yes sir. Do you realize that you're trying to make the inside look nice? Take pride in what you do. Take pride in what you do. So we are caulking in where some of the panels join together in the living room on this white seaside sea fresh wainscotting. It makes me think of the beach Donnie. Yeah I can see that. Looks nice and clean. So anywhere there's a line that you can see pretty good we're caulking up a little bit. I'm trying to hide the lines a little bit. Okay y'all we put a brand new window in the back. There's the old one. We put a new one in there. It cost 30 bucks. So new glass, new everything. Done. Also pans working. We got that going too. Everything looks good. Do a little touch-up around the edge of it. Other than that it looks good to go. So got that done. Brian. Yep. Backing up this thing buddy. Yep. New back lights. Uh-huh. I put that in. The uh all new light switches. Uh-huh. New back light. This one here. A little exhaust fan. Yep. If anybody knows why you would have the exhaust fan out here and not in the bathroom please let me know. Yeah I don't get that. I don't know about that. We put a new uh water connection hot and cold for your dish or your washer and dryer. Uh haven't put a new dryer bin in it. No. What else can we do here? All new baseboards, sub-flooring. This this was a really bad area of the house when we got it. It's kind of nasty. Oh this wall wasn't even here. Remember that? Oh yeah that wall wasn't even here. Our water heater was sitting right here. Yeah they had this all hacked up. But we uh we got that off. And we uh we replaced the AC unit with a brand new one. Brand new AC unit. Uh new all this wall was new. Remember that? Yeah that was all busted up and everything. It's just the place had been abused. It's been abused. But it's nice and clean and straight now so. Well Donny we got all the little punch list done. What do you think? Is it ready to rent? I think it is. I think we'll start calling people. All right so this is bedroom number two. Now we did a little video on each one of these rooms or some of them are a couple videos. Yep. But uh we'll walk through the house real quick and show you what what we're doing. Uh you think you got somebody lined up to rent it maybe? I think I do. All right well this is uh this is how the second room second bedroom turned out. Pretty nice. Pretty good. Lead the way Donny. Okay. Living room. The chirping you hear y'all is the. It's the fire alarm people. We haven't taken the sticker off yet. We ain't taking the sticker off. The living room, kitchen, dining room. Kitchen turned out nice. Cleaned everything as best we could. Brand new AC. Got our AC man on it. Back door. Back door working good. Washer and dryer. Bathroom. It's a simple little home because there's not a not a uh you know it's just not a not a big home. And this would be the main bedroom or the second. I guess this would be the well it could be either way. It could be either way. It could be my sorority. The closet's bigger in this one so I guess it's the main. The closet is a little bigger. But that's it. So very simple. Took a little time but uh I think we got it done Donny. Yep. This is going to be we'll get you to the end of the series. Y'all we've got other things in the works.
