Big Summer Update: From Shortlines to the World’s Largest Layout
It’s been a busy summer - this one covers a bit of everything!
I had the chance to visit the Ontario Southland Railway, tour their shops, and get up close with a whole lineup of classic shortline power. Then I capped things off with a visit to Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg — the largest model railway in the world! Both were packed with inspiration, and both left me thinking differently about how I want to build.
Back home, I’ve been slowly making progress. Redesigning my Aldershot passenger platforms, shifting from 3D printing to laser cutting, and picking up a few long-sought pieces for the layout, including a rare book I’ve been hunting for years.
More layout progress to come - thanks for watching!
