Kang Sohee now. Quick middle. Güneş with the up and down. Well if the outsides aren't firing,
just stick with what you know through the middle. Güneş will be our next server. Push set. Güneş.
Korea Republic scrambling to keep in the rally here. So Ozbay again sets to Güneş.
Well that quick middle didn't work out first time but when they were given the gimme there
a free ball in that second phase. Ozbay and Güneş finally hit under 23. World champion with the
Turkey youth team in 2017. There's the block. Zere Güneş with the contact.
But that 2017 team also had Tugbe Cenoglu in there. Beza Orici. Karaköy. Overpass was saved
and well played Elif Şahin. Just working in tandem ideally now with Zere Güneş.
That was a problem for them earlier in this contest.
They're within sight of the finish line now. Team Turkey with another serve hit.
Blow. Pick up. Flat set. Well that's sought out the baseline from Zere Güneş.
Is it flat? Almost.
What a racket from Güneş. Güneş just right back. Perfect pass offense from Turkey. First ball side
out at 31 set rather we've been talking about Turkey running it to perfection that time.
Serve from Anderbaladin. So new offense here for Turkey in this second set.
It's a bit of a scoop there from Derya Cebecioglu. It's a wonderful skill to
get that up and down and it didn't hit the floor. That one does though from Zere Güneş.
She's just hovering there in that gap waiting. They have that time perfectly.
Get away from it a little bit. You need to reactivate her through the middle especially
on those perfect passes. That's a perfect set from Uzbay. Well right now both teams
siding out at a very high percentage. It's just a battle of siding out until someone can.
Quarterfinals onwards will be played in Ankara so there'll be pool hosts.
He does have an opportunity Gedeti to have a look at different combinations
and that was the case at the start here with Beza Arici.
They started in place of Edo Erdem alongside Zere Güneş. They have Bayar Akbay as well.
I suppose it's the fourth choice blocker. The three victories they beat the Italians,
Bulgaria and Belgium. Beaten in four sets by China.
As far as Korea Republic were concerned it was all straight sets defeats until today.
Beaten by Canada, Poland, Germany and Japan. The ball is down on the floor. It is 24-19.
We've seen a quite extraordinary turnaround. Just recall it was the Korea Republic leading 17-12.
So you have to try and wipe out. Bump comes over. Free ball here. Well Korea Republic really should
be tucking that home. It's eight all but it's a miss at the net. Well you credit the block
but I suppose you have to say that the attacking team are at fault here.
It was flat and dead weight for Jung Hoyoung to hit.
Set to wing sides. That's back-to-back block points for Team Turkey. Just hold the pattern now
and see this through. There's still a long way to go in this set but
great pick up. A catch there and then Handa Baladin gets the ball over the net.
Back come Korea Republic but the block. Oh that's been the story. Zera, Gunes standing tall,
standing firm and there is simply no way through or past this. Karakurt and Gunes up high
in perfect synchronicity and now Turkey
joust. Korea rescue it. There's a punch into backcourt. It's a super pickup.
Gonna be an overpass here. It's just a case really of can Turkey organize their block.
Well they set it backwards there for a hit way off the net. So Korea Republic just allowing Turkey
back into this rally but the Asian side come again. High hands from Karakurt and there's the
hit from Tugba Canoglu. They work it to the other side. What a dig that from Karakurt
and the block. Turkey working really hard there to win the point. Ebrah Karakurt with a spectacular
piece of digging. It was a pancake this and it ends up very sweet in this year's Volleyball
Nations League. The Korea Republic team. That's a pickup and a nice swing there from Zera Gunes.
Not quite got that quick middle running thus far today through Jansu Ozbay and Zera Gunes
but that'll do. That transition so much smoother. So much smoother with the Gunes hitting off Ozbay.
Another reminder that that's the optimal combination. I mean with the pool phase set up as it
7-6. The 0-1-2. Jansu Ozbay for Zera Gunes beats the block before it can properly.
Middle play by the Gunes, the middle blocker. Hilary Howe not giving herself the best time.
No mistake that time from Gunes off the Canadian defender. Emily Maglio the middle blocker.
Doing the serving and then Gunes so efficient. Gunes is having a night so far through the middle.
Really see a quality connection there between her and her setter. That's her seventh point.
Is that what you teach players Matt when you're young players to attack the blocker's hands like
that? You know that skill is a little bit more picked up at the higher levels. Younger levels
are trying to attack the court but now at these levels with such big blockers you have to aim for
the hands and almost imagine that you're going to hit the ball up into the crowd but you're going
to hit the fingertips first and go out of bounds. So that time Gunes made sure no. She's been adding
to the numbers. That time is dug by Livingston. Here's Van Rijk. Canadians are going to be called
here for a double hit as they painstakingly try to put Turquie away in this third set.
A side out. Coming into the game for Turquie is Bruce the 34-year-old veteran. Adaptation by cross.
