Everything Went Wrong on My First Solo Hammock Camping Trip

Everything went wrong on my first solo hammock camping trip! Well, almost everything. I have tried hammock camping a few times over the years, but never got quite comfortable with it. This time I decided to try it solo, and so on the first day of summer I headed out into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness with my ultralight hammock to see if I could get it right this time. The adventure was magical at first, and then whooaaa buddy, just about EVERYTHING went wrong... 😅 Mistakes, insects, rain storms (and more) but did all this deter me from trying hammock camping again?
