China is a pressure cooker—ready to blow. Xi Jinping has become public enemy number one, but replacing him has long seemed impossible. This week, something changed. Not just rumor, but People’s Daily itself dropped subtle hints about who may succeed Xi. And at the same time, the cracks are widening: Beijing locked down like a city under siege, an insider in Zhongnanhai shouted the unthinkable, and in Chongqing a man lit up the skyline with anti-CCP slogans. The signs all point to one conclusion: the succession battle has begun.
Hello. Uh, hi. Welcome to Lay's Real
Talk. Well, I just I was just reading uh
the comments here. Someone said that
they must have had uh must have been
experiencing difficulty, technical
difficulties again. Yes, I did. Uh I was
trying to be a little bit ambitious and
did the slides myself and guess what?
The file exceeded 50 meg. And um I guess
I um next time I'll have Chris do it for
them. I mean for me. Anyways, um
well, thank you for your patience. Uh
thank you for waiting for me.
All right. Let's see. We have videos, we
have slides. Okay. All good to go. All
right. Wow. We have so much to cover
tonight. We will talk about um who Xi
Jinping's replacement is. And this time
we're not going to base it on rumors. So
as you know, China today is a pressure
cooker ready to blow at any moment.
Xiinping has become public enemy number
one and the regime is under intense
pressure to replace him.
Yet because of brutal internal power
struggles, choosing his successor has
seems seemed like mission impossible.
But this week, something changed. Not
just rumor, but People's Daily, the
CCP's own mouthpiece, dropped some
subtle hints about who might be next in
line. And this time, even the rumor
mills agree. And I will share that with
you. But before I get into that, before
I tell you who that person is, let's
look at the status quo inside China's
pressure cooker. Uh, one, Beijing is
spiraling into semilockdown
as the military parade approaches. Two,
inside someone dared to cry out the
unthinkable.
Three, and in
one man staged a stunning digital
protest, projecting anti-CCCP slogans
across the skyline, sending shock waves
throughout the leadership. All right.
So, first things first, let's talk about
what's happening in Beijing because it's
totally unbearable. We're what only a
few days away from the September 3rd
parade and Beijing has turned into
a a fortress, both a fortress and a
pressure cooker. Around Tanaman Square,
there are guards literally every few
steps. On the subway, every single door
of every car is covered and it's called
one cop, one police dog. Now, think
about it.
One train car has four doors.
That means there are four cops and four
dogs.
Actually, let me show you a picture.
Yes. Um so yeah, every subway car
has four four cops and four dogs because
their the their
um plan is one door. Every door is
covered by a dog and a police.
Now
multiply that across the entire system,
across the entire city,
the manpower, the resources, it's
absolutely staggering. And that's only
the beginning. Subways, buses, street
corners, overpasses, everywhere you
look, it's armed um it's armed police uh
presence. Uh patrol cars are on the move
and checkpoints springing up everywhere.
Beijing now is effectively a military
fortress. And it doesn't stop there. The
authorities have recruited an army of
temporary security staff. College
students are being offered 150 yen a day
with mills and lodging just to hunt down
so-called troublemakers.
Others are hired to snap photos, watch
power poles, or simply stand guard. Um,
and they will work 15 straight days from
August 22nd
until the parade finishes.
Now, local residents describe the
atmosphere as suffocating because it's a
nightmare. Along Chan Avenue, the very
route of the parade, gas supplies to
apartments have been cut off.
Apparently, to prevent sabotage,
residents cannot cook. They're forced to
eat governmentissued boxed meals or at
communal cantens.
Uh, street facing windows must stay shut
and neighbors are ordered to spy on each
other. Every car, every kitchen knife,
every hammer, every sharp object must be
registered. And believe me, they do have
the resources to come to every household
and check every room to get them
registered. And in office buildings,
sharp objects like scissors must be
locked away.
They cannot be left, you know, in the
drawers or or on the desk. They ha they
have to be locked away. Cars parked
nearby must have their gas tanks
drained. No birds are allowed to fly.
Overnight guests are banned. And in
certain apartment blocks along the
parade route, residents are ordered out
of their homes and into governmentrun
hotels. No other country on this planet
could stage this level of security
lockdown
except communist China. And this is how
the CCP spends money because it fears
its own people.
And some say Beijing feels like a
battlefield waiting for something to
erupt. In fact, it already has. Um, a
so-called toilet revolution has broken
out in the capital. I told you about
them.
Uh people have
uh people are
scrolling anti-CCCP and anti-Chin
graffiti in public restrooms
and in neighbor in neighboring her
province anti-CCCP slogans are appearing
on street. Well, they're actually not
anti-CCCP. I mean, if you really look at
it, it just says the CCP does not equal
to China or CCP does not equate
equate equate uh to China. And here are
more polls. It says the CCP does not
represent the Chinese people or the CCP
doesn't represent the interest of
Chinese people, right? Um, and then on
August, remember on August the 7th,
remember I told you about this man who
uh showed up in front of the museum of
like the anti-Japanese war in Quiming
Yan with a banner that says Xiinping
steps down. That was August the 7th.
Now, three weeks later, the same voice
has echoed in the very heart of the
party's leadership compound. According
to uh uh Hi Jun, a former uh a Chinese
official now living in the west
on August the 30th around 300 p.m.
That's today. Um inside the state
council office building at Jon Nanghai,
a midlevel
official suddenly shouted Xiinping step
down.
Wait a minute. Um
I think the date I think the time I
think the time may be uh when Mr. Who
actually made it um ma made the
revelation. I'm not sure about when this
shouting took place. I think it may be
the time that he made it known on the
internet. So there was a a a mid-level
official working
um at the state council who suddenly
shouted Xiinping step down not once but
several times. His voice thundered
through the building loud enough for
everyone to hear. Security rushed in.
The man about 40 years old uh with six
years of service in the state council in
the state council secretariat was seized
and taken away. His name hasn't been
disclosed, but the leak reportedly came
from a ministerial level insider
who deliberately passed the information
to Mr. who.
And that's the key. This wasn't just an
ordinary citizen. This was an insider,
an official. His cry of Xiinping step
down struck at the regime's most
vulnerable nerve. Because for a
dictatorship, the greatest threat isn't
enemies outside the borders, but protest
in the streets and um
and descent among the elite.
Once someone inside the system dares to
openly challenge the leader, the
regime's legitimacy takes a direct hit.
And that's why this uh John Nanghai's,
you know, incident is exactly what the
CCP fears the most. And um and it's not
just in Beijing. Remember when I told
you about the Jango protest in Suchan
about a month ago, sparked by a school
bullying case? I said then that such
often leads the rest of China during
dynastic change. Its people are fiery
and not just because of the food. And on
the night of August the 29th, something
extraordinary happened in Chongqing. You
probably have already uh this is by the
way that's a picture of Chong Nanghai.
So this is what happened in Chongqing on
Friday night. Um,
from the top of a high-rise in
University Town, a massive anti-CCCP
slogan lit up the night sky for over 50
minutes. Under the glow, the words were
clear, sharp, and impossible to ignore.
And four slogans cycled, each one more
shocking than the last. So, what do they
say? Well, they say the f the first one
says, "Only without the Communist Party
can there be a new China. Freedom isn't
a gift. You must take it back." And then
it says, "Rise up, you who refuse to be
slaves. Reclaim your rights." And then
it says, "Down with red fascism.
Overthrow the communist dictatorship."
And then it says, "We don't want lies.
We want truth. We don't want slavery or
we don't want to be slaves. We want
freedom. Step down tyrannical communist
party."
Wow. That's
so much stronger than you know Xiinping
step down. I mean this directly targets
you know the the regime uh not any
individual not Xiinping.
So, and also this wasn't some back alley
protest. This was the beating heart of
Chongqing. Shopping centers, pedestrian
streets. There are 14 universities in
the area. There are parks that even
there there's even a art museum in the
area. So, tens of thousands of young
people live and walk through this area
every day.
um and and people and the the the
location
and if you could this is this is a view
from afar.
Um
people can see this uh projection from
afar and it took place Friday night when
the streets uh are crowded with people
and the planner was meticulous. He
rented a nearby um I I think it's a
hotel or Airbnb or an apartment for a
week. Um but he didn't live there. He
set up two sets of projectors and think
three surveillance cameras and quietly
left China. So here here's a video. Let
me play you the video.
uh I think captured
by one of by his surveillance camera and
you can see how it rotates and then
you're going to see um the police the
second surveillance camera will capture
the moment when the police entered the
room.
That's it's upcoming.
So that's when the police enter the room
trying to
trying to it's captured by his
surveillance camera.
They weren't aware that they're they're
being captured on the surveillance
camera, but um this person um
uh did an excellent job. So he um he
rented this room for a week. He set up
the equipment. Um he his original plan
was to do the projection on the day of
the military parade
uh which is uh which is the the 3rd of
March. I mean it's 3rd of September.
Uh but then he feared um he he he feared
that it's not going to be safe. The
surveillance or security would be too
high on the day of the parade. So he did
it early. Um and then the he already he
left with his family and arrived safely
in the UK and after arriving there he
remotely triggered the projection.
Um and then the projection went on for
50 minutes. Um, so for 50 minutes the
slogans blazed until the police finally
arrived as you saw on in that video and
his surveillance footage captured it
all. Right. Um,
now
on August the 30th, that's today, the
man revealed himself. His name is
Chihong, who had been outspoken online
against the CCP. and he said he knew
that sooner or later he would be in
trouble. Um, and this wasn't the first
time he did something like this. He had
done it um, a few years ago. I think it
was in 2018. U, but he was lucky he
wasn't caught. Um, and he he's 43 years
old. He's a Buddhist. Um, and um, and he
left a letter
on the table in my room. Where is that
letter? his his letter. He left a letter
for for the police and he wrote he said
my friend I don't know who you are so
I'll call you friend maybe right now you
see me as your enemy first of all I
don't belong to any organization I've
come I've come this far because I had no
choice who would willing give up a good
life and choose exile and hardship
please don't harm the innocent don't
become accompllices of evil. The CCP's
crimes on this land are beyond words and
beyond redemption. The party rules by
lies, silences justice, and crushes
anyone brave enough to stand up. In the
end, the only answer is this. People
must wake up and seek the truth. When
everyone sacrifices a little to resist
or to fight back, those bad people will
no longer be able to do as they please.
So, um that's pretty much his story. Um
I deeply admire his courage. Unlike the
other man who asked Xiinping to step
down, this man saw clearly what so many
miss. The CCP itself is the source of
China's misery. The official inside
Jonah Hai only dared call for Xiinping's
removal, but Mr. Chi in Suchuan named
the real culprit, the the party and the
regime itself. His words were brief but
straight to the point. Um
although he escaped safely with his
direct family,
the authorities are now interrogating
his mother and siblings in the
countryside.
Uh and then the schools in the area
where this projection took place
uh are are very are tense today
according to the students interviewed. A
large number of undercover security
personnel are on site and people are not
allowed to discuss this.
All right. So, I thought that these
dramatic cases are worthy of our
attention because they broke out today
within the last 24 hours and they're
dramatic and they,
you know, they took place right before
the the military parade. So, I'm sure
it's um it's on it's getting um it's
making um
some individuals in in Jonah nervous.
Okay, now let's talk about who the next
CCP leader might be. So, who is replace
replacing she? Well, the answer is who
is replacing she? Okay, I'm just playing
with uh the name the word who, right?
Who is replacing him and who is? Not
long ago, um I'll give you the I'll give
you the hint. I already gave you the
hint. His last name is who.
All right. So, Shiin traveled to Lassa
to attend the 60th anniversary of the
founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region
or the establishment, whatever you call
that. Yeah. The 60th anniversary of the
founding of the the Autonomous Region of
Tibet. He stayed there uh less than 24
hours
uh before rushing back to Beijing,
leaving other officials behind. And the
most eye-catching among them, the
re-emergence of the discarded crown
prince Hua.
Do I have a picture of him? There he is.
Yeah. So, who's replacing shei? Who is
replacing she?
Okay. So, whose activities in Tibet
suggest he may be on the verge of a
comeback? Here's why. Now, instead of
Xiinping himself, it was Hua who
inspected the infamous Yaun
or the Yalun Zampo River hydro power
station.
The most symbolic politically weighty
project in Tibet. I should say the most
geopolitically controversial project in
Tibet. This massive dam was Xiinping's
personal pet project. Under normal
circumstances, Shuini would have toured
it to showcase his own achievements or
willpower.
Even if his health prevented him from
doing so, he should have sent a trusted
loyalist, somebody like Wan Huning.
Um,
oh, here's the here's a picture of the
river. It's beautiful. sad that they're
going to ravage it uh ravage it with a a
gigantic dam.
So yeah, in normal situation, Xiinping
would have if he can't go because he's
not feeling too well, he should have
sent his
deputy
or vice chairman, I mean vice premier,
I'm sorry what I'm saying, vice premier
Jang or another vice premier
just to make it clear that he was still
in control, right? And all the all three
men
uh Jang and Hurong went with him to
Tibet on the trip, but none of them were
chosen. Instead, instead, Huha was put
front and center.
And that matters in the CCP. Whoever a
leader, I shouldn't say whoever,
whenever a leader visits a flagship
national project, it signals direct
political ownership. but whose official
standing didn't qualify him to inspect
this project. Yet he was dispatched
um overstepping his boss Wong Huning um
and shadowing
uh
shadowing the vice premier Jang Guing
who is the official in charge of this
project. Um so
so now think about it. Huna, the man
Xiinping once suppressed so hard most
fiercely.
Uh the the same who whose removal from
the poli bureau triggered Huin Tao's
dramatic removal or ejection from the
party congress in front of the world's
media
two years ago was suddenly given the
spotlight. That alone speaks volumes
about Huchuna's rising status.
adding to the intrigue now's trip to uh
Ningu which is the region where the dam
uh is located. So his trip to this
region
almost exactly copied Xiinping's 2021
itinerary.
Uh he toured the hydropower project. He
met villagers. He inspected the Sutran
Tibet railway and walked through uh a
park called Gumbu Park that was like a
identical itinerary
um
from the trip that Xiinping took three
years ago or four years ago. So was that
accidental or was it a deliberate
symbolism?
Even more telling, that very same day,
People's Daily ran an editorial on the
second page. Uh, where's the Here's the
editorial. Let me make this bigger for
you. Uh,
sorry.
Okay,
this is
Okay, here's the editorial.
Um this editorial has a very interesting
line. What does it say? It says um the
first line, the o opening line says
this. 60 years of spring blossoms and
autumn fruits in Chinese spring blossoms
and autumn fruits is
okay. So, spring blossoms is Chunua.
That's exactly Hu Chun Hua's name.
So, um, yeah. So,
spring blossoms directly points to Hu
Chun Hua. That's his name literally
means spring blossoms and autumn fruits.
Was the state media hinting Huna will
harvest political fruit this autumn at
the fourth plenum? Nobody knows for
sure. But the fact that the PLA Daily,
the the military's newspaper, official
newspaper also ran the same piece now on
its front page, well that's no accident,
you know. Well, see, Chinese editors
don't slip
um leaders names into party editorials
without direct instruction from the
propaganda department. This was
deliberate. Um, an analogy would be it's
like when you use the expression the
trump card when discussing American
politics, when discussing a trip that
President Trump made recently, it's hard
for people not to make reference to
President Trump, right? When you use the
expression the Trump card. So that's
exactly what that is in Chinese. Um, and
it doesn't stop there. After Tibet,
Hujun Ha traveled to Chuning
where he opened the Northeast Asia Expo
and delivered the keynote speech. Again,
he broke precedent. Since 2014, every
opening has been presided over by vice
level leaders with real power. Now,
Huawa holds only an honorary role. Um
because he's not a party leader. He's
only he's not even the top CPPC vice
chairman. CPPCC stands for
Chinese People's Political Consultative
Conference. It's a mouthful to say, but
it's supposedly um an advisory board to
the party. So, he's not even the first
vice chairman. He's just the second vice
chairman. Uh yet, he got the spotlight.
Uh this was his second record-breaking
appearance in less than a month after
Tibet. Then came the strangest line in
the official report and it says before
the opening ceremony
accompanied by
tooured the expo pavilion and met with
exhibitors. Now let me break down break
that down. There are three names you
heard Chinese names. Hang is the Jilling
Jiling province provincial party
secretary. the number one guy in the
province. Uh he's also the chairman of
the provincial people's congress. So he
holds two titles. Huing is governor is
the governor and deputy party secretary
number two. And Drew Guian is chairman
of the provincial CPPCC number three
guy. In other words, all the top
provincial leaders, the heads of party,
government, legislature, and CBPCC
were on hand to accompany Huchun Hua.
That kind of treatment, I I actually
have a picture. Yeah, there's a picture.
Um, that kind of a treatment
is
only reserved for one person, for
Xiinping, the top party leader. Now
remember, Huin Hua was Xiinping's sworn
rival. Um, it was widely believed that
the only reason Xiinping didn't lock him
up, didn't lock up Hua was purely due to
Huin Tao's protection. It was said that
Huin did everything he could to protect
the junior who
um and now suddenly he's gone from
political exile to VIP treatment. The
contrast is shocking in China's
political world. The local leaders are
hyper sensitive to who's rising and
who's falling because their own future
depend depends on picking up picking the
right side. So if Xiinp is in power,
there's no way the top three provincial
leaders would all come out to keep Huna
a company. I mean, first of all, Huin
Hua wouldn't be given this chance um in
the first place.
And now we get to the leaks. Um there's
a political commentator, his name is
Tanging
and he said that according to his
sources, not just one, two,
um two sources close to the top and
they've confirmed that Xiinping has
already been stripped of power and Hua
together with Wang Yang will take the
reigns in the post Xi era.
There, there they are. because there
have been so much speculations about
who's going to um
uh
who's going to step in to fill to fill
the vacancies because right now I think
there's a power vacuum. Nobody is in
charge right now. This is the scary
part. People say nobody's in charge of
the CCP right now and they're just
giving random orders and depending on
who you give the orders to and who and
whether or not they carry them out, you
know, random things are happening. So
anyways, according to um Mr. Tom, one
source, someone with very close ties to
a vice state level leader
in Chinese, that's fi vice state level.
That's just one level under Xiinping,
right? So the they told him that
Xiinping has already been stripped of
power. He holds no authority. They're
only waiting for the right moment to
announce it. Whether Xiinping will be
pushed into semi-retirement or
completely ousted wasn't specified. But
one thing was certain. Uh she is
sidelined. right now he's just an actor
keeping up the facade of stability.
A second insider back it up and
according to that source the succession
has been basically settled. Okay, here's
here's the here's the twist. Huh and
Wang will take over. um within their
circles the consensus is that who will
become the party secretary the secretary
general of the party while Wong Yang
takes the premiership.
Now this is different from what we
believed previously. It was believed
that Wang would lead the party and Hujun
Ha will be the premier because Hujun Hua
lacks the experience
to take the top job.
um because he's not even currently in
the police bureau. But remember I told
you one has a condition. If he takes the
top party role, he wants to control he
wants control of the military as well.
And that complicates things because it's
hard to imagine Jang Yuan not staying at
the top of the military. So maybe this H
Wong pairing is the compromise. Wang is
more willing to focus on resuscitating
the economy, agrees to take the
premiership.
Hua, weaker and without military
command, becomes the party leader. So,
it balances everything. Um,
the league said that this personnel
change has already been communicated to
the provincial leaders level. So that
explains why these the top three
provincial leaders of Jiling all came
out uh to keep Huen Hua company.
Now with all that said, the CCP's
political future is riddled with
uncontrollable variables. We still don't
know what will happen. Um and one of the
biggest variables is Xiinping's health.
No one knows what could happen next.
Even if Hu Chun Hua and Wyang take over,
they'll be feeling their way forward
step by step, but their greatest
challenge, in my opinion, isn't policy
tweaks or
uh token reforms. It's the regime
itself. This antihumanity
rotten system has already entered
garbage time. Anyone with independent
thought can see the writing on the war.
Um
the real test to them is whether they
have the courage to end it. To cling to
the party and try to save it is
selfdestructive and doomed to fail. The
best example is Xiinping himself. He is
the perfect example to illustrate that
point. When Xiinping came to power
initially, he held a winning hand. a
booming economy, broad public support,
and a favorable international
environment. Yet, in his in his
obsession with saving the party, he
squandered every advantage until he
ended up where he is today.
Um,
so it all depends on what the who one
duel would do. Giving up the CCP may
look like the hardest choice. In truth,
it's the simplest solution to
everything. I think it's the the the
best solution. It's the easiest. Um
because it's what people want. Anyways,
um so that's my talk for tonight. I know
there not everyone is convinced that
Xiinping has lost power. There's still a
lot many people who believe that he's
still very much in control. Um but
here's my argument. Um even if Huna is
not the successor or the appointed
successor but all these strange
uh the highprofile
publicity or high-profile events that
Hujun Hua attended
even even if it they don't mean that
Huna is the next leader
the the the sheer fact that he is so
active taking these high-profile visits
um and being given all these attention
is not something that Xiinping would
want to see. I mean there's no way I
mean if there's one person that Xiinping
really wants to suppress that is Huha.
Um even remember month ago when when
they asked for his opinion about uh
Hujun Hua versus Wong Yang you know he
even Xiinping preferred Wang as the
leader he just didn't like Hua at all.
So even if Huha is not the successor, it
still indicates all these events, the me
the publicity I just showed you still
indicates that Xiinping
no longer has full control because
there's no way if he had any choice, if
he had any say, he wouldn't allowed so
much ex uh so much limelight to be given
to Hua. So still, it still means that
Xiinping is on his way out.
Um
yeah, I know that not everyone agrees
with me. It's okay. Um everyone has
their logic and and uh their own
reasoning. I think that's that's good.
It's a it's it's a healthy dialogue.
It's a healthy debate. But from my
perspective on all these strange very
unusual
uh publicity around Huna
could only could only mean one thing in
in in the in the in such a highly
controlled regime. It could only mean
one thing. I I can't come up with a
second explanation.
Um so with that said I wrap up my talk.
All right. Let me see.
All right. Well, let me take a sip of
water.
Let's see.
All right. If you have questions for me,
put my name in front so I know it's
addressed to me.
Otherwise, I'll quickly go through the
super stickers.
Um,
all right.
I think I I saw some flying by.
Always
always late.
Always late. Okay. All right.
Wes Downer. Wes Downer. Oh, okay. Well,
thank you. I hope I'm pronouncing your
name correctly. All right.
Let's see questions. I'm going to pick
up um some random questions.
Uh there are
Let's see.
Someone say, "You're repeating the same
fake news again and again, but you but
you you enjoy listening to it
again and again.
Okay. All right.
Okay. Wow. The lot of um lively
discussions. Okay. Here's a question. I
hope it's a question.
Okay. Here's a no question. Okay.
Excellent. Well, we have some wumalo
here tonight, aren't we? Do we have some
wum here?
Okay.
Okay. Wow. There's uh no no questions
today.
Okay. Here you here we go.
Lei, are you familiar with the Great
Wall of China conspiracy of the reverse
arrow?
They seem to indicate at some point the
Great Wall was used to keep the people
in.
What I'm not familiar with, well, the
Great Wall was built to prevent uh
invaders from coming in. So, it is used
to keep people in. So, I'm not quite
sure what you mean by the conspiracy.
Uh, it is it is used to prevent
invaders.
Yeah, it's a natural it's a fortress
built.
Okay.
All right. Let's see.
Okay. Someone says, "Tell it like it
like it is. Let your truth be known.
I did. That's what I did tonight.
All right. Somebody is is is very
motivated tonight. All right.
Someone said, "Lay, you've made a sound
argument." Good.
Lei, what do you think will happen in
Venezuela?
Uh, I don't know. I haven't followed the
development there, but I know that the
US send um uh a a military
uh uh a navy vessel near there. I
haven't really tried to keep up with it,
but I I know that. But one thing that's
good is the the head of uh the
Venezuelan
um president is not coming to Beijing to
attend the military parade. He did 10
years ago.
um he did 10 years ago in 2015
and for the 70th anniversary, but not
this time. Maybe he's busy dealing with
his own crisis.
Um at least he's not going.
Someone asked me what happens after the
transition is who more liberal? Uh
people have mixed opinions about him. uh
some people do not like him because he
has caved in in the past to his his
superior.
Um but I think you can't judge people by
what they have done in the past.
Although most people do that, I think
you have to
because in the communist system, I mean
officials like they they don't have any
background. They come from ordinary
families.
So
they have to follow the official
narratives to to get a to get ahead. So
now the question is when he does become
the top guy, what is he going to do? uh
is he I'm sure the vision that the Huton
Hua hadif
50 years I shouldn't say 50 30 years ago
uh for his country
is is not the China we see today so the
question is will he
you know fulfill his dream will he
follow his you know aspiration to really
um lead China the way he has envisioned
and dreamed of in his youth or after all
these years of political struggle he has
been brainwashed
uh just like one of them and he cannot
think outside the box. So so it you know
the question is is that spark
still alive in his heart to do the right
thing for his people that's the
question. Um I mean it doesn't matter
how many wrong things you've done in
your life. It sometimes it all matters
is the one right thing that you do
uh at a very late late stage in your
life. That's what matters and that's
where you'll be remembered. Um so I
don't look at I don't judge people by
what they have done in the past because
if you look at people's track records
you kind of assume that they are certain
ways and then you uh you have predicted
their proje their uh trajectory of of of
the future. So, but I don't think we to
be fair, we shouldn't look at people
that way, especially for politicians in
politicians coming out of the CCP system
because their hands are tied. They can
do what they really wanted to do. So now
the question is, do they have the
courage to finally do what they are here
to do? Is that spark still alive in
their chest? That's what matters and I
hope they do. Um, so I always think
positively.
Um,
the fact that he's not a princling makes
me feel better.
Um, yeah, the fact that this duel, none
of them, they're they're just from
ordinary people's family. I think they
make me feel better. People have a more
favorable view of Wang Yang because he's
more open. He's done some great things
in the past. I mean such as he made the
official statement that
people's desire
people should not attribute their good
life to
uh to the to the government right so
people should not attribute their good
life or improved living conditions to to
the to their government you know and
that's a very bold statement he made so
um So, we'll see. We'll see what
happens.
Matthew Morgan. Well, thank you,
Matthew. Thank you.
All right. Um,
William Thompson,
if she
has no power, why are the trade talks
stalling out? And and why won't the CCP
cave in? Because they hold no leverage
because there's a power vacuum.
The old um the old
school master is is out or on his way
out. He's not doing anything. And the
new school master isn't isn't fully
hasn't settled down yet. So,
um,
yeah, I mean, they just came out, they
just came back from the summer retreat,
uh, at the Bah and now they're dealing
with this military parade.
Um, so I I don't think we're going to
hear anything. That's why Trump Trump
knows this. That's why he postponed the
trade talk for another 90 days until
they hold the fourth plenum. It's going
to be until October. And that's exactly
when the CCP holds the next uh platinum.
I think not until the platinum we're not
going to see um we're not going to see
any
anyone you know assuming taking on any
responsibility
to deal with international trade. Yeah.
Okay. Um, what do you think of Modi? She
cheat sheet talks in Beijing today.
Um,
well the 50 Trump's 50% tax is on India.
I don't think I don't think it's going
to accomplish much because first of all
Xiinping is just going to read the
script.
I think these are just symbolic gesture
to keep the talks going to make the
public oh I need to tell you this
despite the fact that Xiinping has lost
power and the new leadership has pretty
much been formed. Um, I heard that Huin
Tao firmly believes that
they should not show any signs of
division within the party because he
believes that if
if that division is shown to the outside
world and also to to their own people,
if this division within the top
leadership is known um to the public,
then the regime could collapse.
And so because of that, they're all
doing their share to act such as um
Janga, you know, publicly acknowledging
that Xiinping,
you know, mentioning Xiinping in his
speech.
So they're all doing their share to to
act to put on the show um to put on a
show of unity um because they're right.
I mean, Huin is right. If they let the
Chinese people know that there's a
severe division um at the top, then
people can rise up.
Yeah. Um so going back to your question,
so I do not think the Modi Xi talks in
Beijing
uh will accomplish anything. I don't
think the CCP will accomplish anything
before the fourth platinum.
I think there it's it's everything is
in suspension mode right now. That's my
feeling.
Okay,
here's a question forwarded from Chris
from four Morris family le what happens
after the transition is who more
liberal? I already answered that
question.
Uh here's a question from
forget forget it 4900 lei. Is the
flooding in China due to poor planning
or is it just the abnormal wet year?
It's both.
Um it's both, but I think it has to do
more it has more to do with poor
planning. U yeah that's the short
answer.
All right. Um,
you said someone seek the truth. You
said last time that Wuni has flipped
sides. Can you expound please? He's evil
to the core. He is. This man looks looks
evil. I mean, he was called the mo most
dangerous man in the world. Uh, I'm not
surprised that he jumped shipped. Look,
the fact that he had served three
uh CCP leaders from Jenzaming to Huin
Tao to Shiin Ping and they kept him
um
they kept him as as their advisor or
chief chief strategist. That's that
means that this this man has no
principle. He's um what we Chinese say
to he just um flip-flop, you know. He's
um,
you know, he does whatever his boss asks
him to do. So, I'm not surprised that he
flips. He's not going to um he's not
going to be loyal to Xiinping
when he realizes that he is on his way
out. So, I'm not surprised that he's he
has flipped, but that doesn't mean that
he still has a future. And anyone who
has any moral sense could tell that this
man is not to be trusted.
Um,
okay.
Any more update of for the third? Oh,
any more update for the third the
military parade? Oh my goodness. There's
just so much rumors going on about
what's happening in the PLA. Um, I need
to do a separate program on that. the I
think the internal resentment towards
Xiinping being the one to inspect the
troops is so high that
I think John is finally worrying about
what's going to happen because there's a
strong push back um from the PLA that
they don't want Xiinping to to be the
one inspecting the troops but he is the
one take a look at all the leaders
coming I mean Kim Jong-un is going to be
there Putin is going to be there. The
the um the the what the the prime
minister or the president of Iran will
be there and not the supreme leader, not
the spiritual leader, but the what the
the president. So, they're all going to
be there. And if you are Huna, if you're
Wang or or if you're Jua, do you want to
be the one inspecting the troops? Of
course not. Right. So they it's it's
it's a terrible job to do to to be um oh
actually I heard that Xiinping will be
standing
uh on his right will be Putin on his
left will be King Jong-
uh because Huin will not be there. If
you look at the parade in 2015, so he
has the foreign dignitaries on one side
and then the CCP party elders to his
left on the other side like Jenzaming
was next to him and next to Jenzaming
was Huin Tao. So Jenzamin died. So Huin
will be the next uh the highest ranking
CCP leader.
Um
but who is not going to be there? And
not only that, I think like Wing Jabo,
other party elders wouldn't want to be
there either because they're trying to
avoid I think Kim Jong-un and and Putin
as well if they label themselves as the
reformists who try to rebuild
relationship with the West. So they're
probably not going to be there or they
want to be standing in the back row. So
what I heard is Xiinping will be uh so
they're going to rearrange the the the
the seating chart. So Shiin will be in
the center, Putin will be on his right
and King Jam will be on his left
and yeah they will probably go like
that. They'll put the foreign
dignitaries around Xiinping. They're
going to put the CCP leaders somewhere
in the back. I think all the CCP leaders
if they still want to have a role in the
next administration or in the post
Xiinping era, they don't want to be in
that role. They want to be in the back
row. So um so I think John has the
mission impossible. On the one hand, he
does not want to be the one inspecting
the troops for this kind of lineup. On
the other hand, his troops are saying
that we don't want Xiinping to be
inspecting us. So that's why he came out
to give a speech uh to say oh we need to
study Xiinping you know we need to
follow chairman X shei blah blah blah I
think sort of as a appeasement you know
trying to calm his troops to say look if
I could follow Xiinping I'm sure you can
do a I'm sure you can do a parade you
know for my sake let's just let's just
do this so it's it's it's getting very
interesting you know the all
If you look at the guest list, you know,
if John is smart, he doesn't want to
inspect the troops.
So, it's awful, awful setup for
Xiinping.
Think about it. Anyways, I mean, that's
why CCP politics is so interesting
because it's full of twists and turns
and you you can't even predict what's
going to come out. What's good could be
bad, what's bad could be good. you know,
it's very elusive.
Um, yeah.
All right, that's I've talked a lot
tonight and uh I should end it early.
Uh, Michael and C. Well, thank you,
Michael,
for the super stickers and uh I will end
it here. How's that? Enjoy the rest of
your weekend and I'll see you next week.
All right. Bye.
